Man shot deaths by police after going on a have i lent rampage in cobbs creek. Three of his victims, children. Including his own son and daughter. Police tell us it was their involved shooting actually ended this mans violent rampage, the mans eight year old son and 13 year old Family Friends are still in Critical Condition at chop. It was 7 00 last night, when police were dispatched to the 6200 block of hazel street, for the report of multiple gunshot victims, and people screaming, officers immediately responded and found a eight year old and a 13 year old with multiple wounds to their throat and chest. Police rushed the children to chop, began searching the area for this suspect. Ultimately, they found him on the 700 block of cobbs creek parkway, and believe that the man was armed, with a gun. Multiple officers discharged their weapons and the suspect, a man in his 30s, was pronounced dead. He is actually confronted by police, hes got his hands in his pocket, they tell him several times to take his hand out, he abruptly takes his hand out, and they fire multiple times striking him. This male was actually transported to the hospital where he has been pronounced dead right now. Were hopeful that these two young kids will survive. Both in Critical Condition right now. Police say they spent last night searching the area for a gun. They never found one. They did finds knives. They believe the man went on rampage where he first physically assaulted his 15 year old daughter, stabbed his eight year old son, and a 13 year old Family Friends. Then he went to a friends home here on the 700 block of cobbs cobbs creek parkway he allegedly assaulted two women middle age and elderly. That 15 year old daughter every his did not need to seek medical treatment. She is talking with police, she actually told investigators she thinks her father was under the influence of drugs, when all of this happened. Chris, alex . Reporter chris, we can tell that you this Police Officer was guarding the scene and also redirecting traffic while crime scene investigators were working the case that jenny told you about. When he was hit by a vehicle and returned into penn presbyterian hospital, being shaken up by the crash, that officer, were told, was helping, as we said, this investigation process take place when a pickup truck were told slammed into the police car he was in, this happened at cobbs creek parkway. Christian street, southwest philadelphia, just before 2 00 a. M. , which shows how long investigators had been out there. After a teenager opened fire at Elementary School yesterday. Authority say the gunman killed his father, inside his home, before going to the school where he shot a teacher and two young boys who happen to be outside of the school. The shooter who has not been identified, was tackled by volunteer firefighter outside of the school. Authorities say that prevent dollars the crime from being much worse. That person individually, you know, be willing to confront him, as far as why he didnt get off more shots, i can only say at this point it is because he was confronted probably. College tuition, works the same way. Chris, youll see this when your kids go to school. They post tuition, but then, they, by the time throw different offers on the table, Financial Aid, grants, et cetera, most student dont pay the full tuition anyway. So, lasalle, rosemont, to their credit, and other schools across the country doing the same thing, to their credit, they say lets forget this silly system. A man is shot dead by police in cobbs creek. Officers believe the man was armed, after going on violent rampage. Three of his victims, children. Including his own son and daughter. Jennifer joyce is on this scene. Jennifer, what a horrific store when we look into the details of this . Truely horrific. We know two of the children are fighting for their lives at chop. Were live here as you mention at the scene, the 700 block of cobbs creek parkway. This is where Philadelphia Police shot and killed a man after the suspect allegedly assaulted five people including three children. It was 7 00 last night, when police were dispatched to the 6200 block of hazel street, for the report of multiple gunshot victims, and people screaming. Officers immediately responded and found a eight year old and 13 year old with multiple wounds to their throat and chest. Police rushed the children to chop, began searching the area for the suspect. Ultimately they found him on the 700 block of cobbs creek parkway. They believed he was armed with a gun, as the initial call came in as a shooting. Multiple officers discharged their weapons, and the suspect, a man in his 30s, was pronounced dead. The daughter did say that, you know, he was home, and all the sudden his eyes are like wide as can be, and then he just starts to choke her, for no reason whatsoever. There is no conversation as she indicated, then immediately stabbed and slashed the eight year old, the 13 year old, stabbed him multiple times. Police say that they spent last night searching the area for a gun they never found one but they did find knives. They believe that the man went on a rampage, where he first, again, physically assaulted his 15 year old daughter, stabbed his eight year old son, and a 13 year old Family Friends. So as you helped, commissioner ross says, theyre talking with the mans 15 year old daughter getting some information from her. Top story, young boy still in Critical Condition in a South Carolina hospital this morning, after a teenager opened fire at an Elementary School yesterday. Authority say the gunman killed his father, inside his home, before then going to the school, where he shot a teacher and two young boys, the shooter, who has not been identified, was tackled by volunteer firefighter outside the school. Hes in Police Custody right now. Authorities say he never made it inside the building, the motive for the shooting at this point it is not known. Teach and one of the student events been released from the hospital. There will be public viewing today for senior firefighter jerry things, jr.
