Reporter good morning, mike. Manhunt for ahmad rahami ended just a few hours after it began yesterday but before it ended there was a bloody exchange of gunfire with police in north jersey. Investigators say a man found rahami sleeping outside this restaurant in linden, new jersey monday morning and called police. Police identified the terrorist with wanted for three explosions over course of the three days. This is rahami after being captured in a bloody shootout with Linden Police. Naturalized american from afghanistan was wounded in the shooting and transported to a local hospital. Two Linden Police officers were also shot but they are expected to be okay. Police say they found fingerprints on the Pressure Cooker connected to the cell phone and they were able to link him to saturdays explosion in the north jersey shore town. Saturday night in chelsea that injured 29 people and pipe bombs found at an elizabeth new jersey train station sunday night. Social workers from a local mosque said he met rahami a few times and didnt notice anything suspicious but said radicalization of young muslims must be addressed. The ministers, we have to start coming out and denouncing these things as they happen, i mean immediately, come up on and denounce it and is a thinks not islam and go right in on it. Reporter police say the 18 yearold ace charged with five counts of attempted murder and being held on 5. 2 milliondollar bail. Federal prosecutors say they are still determining if rahami will face additional charges for the bombing. Driver took off, cops did get to the vehicle though. It is a white car, dave has more information on that, lets help find this guy. Police say that white chevy cobalt on the 7,000 block of rutland street in northeast philadelphia lets go to video of the police towing that vehicle away, a few hours ago, we can tell you that this chevy cobalt also has windshield damage as you can see there as you say registered to a home in the 7,000 block of rutland street. Police are still looking for the driver. You can see as we go to video of the crash at bustleton and bleigh Police Believe the incident happened in or near the parking lot of the Wells Fargo Bank in that area around 11 15 last night. Police took pictures of this vehicle for evidence the before it was towed, away, and the victim was taken to aria torresdale hospital in extremely critical condition, were told, it is a man in his late 40s, possibly 46 or 48 years old, police are looking for surveillance cameras looking for possible video and we also know that they are looking for that driver back to you. 7 07. When he he talks about oppression and engages in this without more specifics that is when there is backlash. Some people commented they were saying they thought it was a compromise. But i would also like to say one of the things that is missing in the National Narrative is that these players are not anti police, they are anti Police Misconduct and anti police brutality. Aim not certain of the post in our city but you when those officers were shot, that all communities came together and they denounced the individuals who did that. I think that is the challenge that we primarily do not see. There are people in the city of philadelphia and around the country who are concerned about Police Officers getting shot, Police Officers getting killed but they are concerned and it is both hand with regard to Police Misconduct and brutality you bring up another issue that just happened on friday, as well, in another community in tulsa, oklahoma. This situation in tulsa looks really bad. I would agree with that from the footage i seen. I take these on a case by case basis. It is a false narrative that kaepernick put out that Police Officers are willy nilly shooting people down and getting paid leave. I questioned doing it last night, mike and alex in chicago where we have had 3,000 people shot. It has nothing to do with Police Oppression or whatever that i see. It would have been bet are doing this in a different setting maybe next eagles home game. Is there a narrative with regard to chicago where we talk about economic violence, were talking about Macro Economic violence and educational apartheid that creates conditions. Im in the saying because of conditions you need to get out and engage in that type of behavior but what colin is saying is there are some Police Officers killing black and brown people and getting a way with impunity. I believe we are prosecuting people in ferguson which started a lot of this, chad. We had a grand jury. We are a nation of laws. Some of these it is egregious. But black and brown people are saying that the criminal Justice System no longer is fair. The people in ferguson were saying, hey, why did we need to d o. J. Report. We were letting you know there is a population of 20,000 people, 16,000 would have warrants for jaywalking or littering. Baltimore was freddie gray, nobody gets indicted. Well, ahmad rahami the man believed to have planted bombs in new jersey is in custody and he is facing five counts of attempted murder of a Law Enforcement officers in addition to weapons related charges.
