And crews were so busy, working on the aftermath of the accident, that route 222 just opened few hours ago after the devestation here, investigators say five people were killed when the car they were riding in slammed into a tractortrailer, all victims pronounced dead on the scene. The crash happening on route 222 near the route 100 intersection around 4 00 p. M. Yesterday. So it took several hours, well into the evening, and overnight, to finally clear everything related to the scene, Upper MacungieTownship Police say the vehicle with all of the victims inside headed north on 222 and crossed the median somehow into the path of a southbound tractor trail their did not have time to react. The crash happened, forensics had to be used to identify the victims. Told so far the coroner has verified two females, and one male, as victims, we are also told the driver of the tractortrailer suffered minor injuries, again, route 222 reopened, with the investigation, not quite over, and authorities try to identify all of the victims. In this case it was a general warrant. Courts, the Supreme Court, has called general warrants a general rummaging through peoples belongings, their property, their computers, so they asked for basically anything and everything. These warrants. Did they have child porn or not . They did fine there were some images on computer but found it in a computer that the states forensic expert admitted had not been turned on since 2012. The search warrant were looking for conduct, evidence of conduct, that they thought might have occurred in 2013. So even though he had those images, even though on his compute nerve his home, because they didnt have the proper way to look for it, now, it is just thrown out . Well so retry the whole thing . Thats the big question, right . The Supreme Court of delaware has said that because these warrant are overbroad, because theyre unconstitutional, search was illegal. So anything obtained directly from the search has to be suppressed, cant be used against him. Cant be used again . Cant be used again. So the only way know can retry the case is it is independent they had a did not flow from the illegal search or any indirect search. That flowed. Can the whole thing get prompted by the fact that he was accused, allegedly, was having improper contact with a couple of boys in pennsylvania . Years ago . And he admit in the writing according to the accused he wrote back saying yes, did i do these things, im responsible. Well, as an initial matter,. What . Initial. Oh, initial . Did they ever charge him with those things. To the extent that there is allegations founded, he hasnt been charged with that. Based upon those allegations, these search warrant were obtained. And these were those general overbroad search warrants, again, they were investigating conduct that they thought occurred in 2013. Didnt this have to be so specific hey we want to look at that compute any his living room and we are told he uses monday through friday, i mean, how specific do you have to be . Thats the big question, right, thats the balancing test that court have to undergo all the time. Do you have balance the rights of victims and the rights of, you now, to get for the Law Enforcement to get an investigation. On the other hand do you have protect. Hes in jail . And were later acquitted, riot followed for days, and a truck driver named Reginald Denny was pulled from his cab, beaten, and hit with a sinner block. Flash forward 25 years to today. The hashtag black lives matter, sparked a movement on social media, and in the street. Protests grew louder after the deaths of michael brown, in ferguson, and eric gardner in new york city. Have things changed . Give me couple of examples, one question off the top. Twentyfive years ago it, Police Offers verse tasers. Tasers were not as prevalent or even in the police tool at that time. That would have probably changed things that night. Definately would v thats one of the things that has changed when policing, more tools are available to officers to attempt to use different ways to get people to comply with the officers orders. But, additionally, things, additional things that have changed, the ad event of cameras, police cars, body cameras, different requirements, through internal affairs, stricter internal affairs policies, have been put in place, as well as, you know, just training, in general, for Police Officers. Yes. The reason why i think were showing some Swimming Pool video there, as most every us know rodney king drowned, years ago, the backyard pool there. Also, the guy that shot the videotape chad george holiday, he still lives in southern california. Wow. When we look at what happened 25 years ago, and where we are at today, we still see that there are some Police Officers, some Police Departments, around the united state of america, that still view some black males and males of color for that matter as sub human, also, as super preditors. One of the things we do know is that we do, 25 years, later, fast forward, we have the department of justice, you know, thats involved. We also have hashtag black lives matter. We have humanity on all signed of the color line. Coming together, to say no more police brutality. And any community. Would you say, i mean, there are still protests like you mentioned, but still different than how it was back then when rodney king happened. Well, when rodney king happened, i think the challenge for a loft us was the fact that acquittal led to some of the uprising, some of the uprising we saw, you know, were fueled with the anger of some of the things that were happening, in the Police Department. If we look at the historical trajectory of the Police Department in los angeles, but had high profile cases here in our urban areas, like in new york, with eric garner, what weve seen in South Carolina with walter scott. Police didnt some of them have gun to get forward and thinking to do antiracism training and diversity. Chief real quickly here, when a Police Officer goes cents to the academy now, in whatever sit, police academy, is that brought up, hey, ladies and gentlemen, just, just believe youre on videotape 24 hours a day when you are on the job. More importantly, with training for Police Officers, they need to start even before they get into the police academy. When we focus on this cherry hill is addressing it with the recruits we have with the applicants to show open and transparent process from the beginning, to let them know that theyre entering a department that is entrenched in the community. And they need to understand that theyre serving that community from the minute that they come in to apply for that job, they need to represent the community they is her. Did cops take those cameras . The cops love the cameras. We will not put a Police Department car on the street unless it has a camera. Weve had cameras in our cars for 12 years, were one of the more Progressive Police didnt in the area, them for very long time. We need more departments like that. Now he says somebody else at the table was playing it, he didnt dont do it, tried to get them to shut it off. But the bartender and waitresses and stuff like that apparently saw them doing this. And they tweeted about it. Kneel, thats his name, he works for the company that owns the marriott nashville at van err built. He says his friends, they were watching the vet yo video. Asked them to stop but unfortunately not quick enough what he said. Server at the restaurant saw what was happening, yes, they went to twitter and started tweet being the fact they were doing this at the table.
