And lets check with the airport, we will see a lot of action, a lot of vip arrivals and departures, plus the weather could impact air travel today. Sue has the forecast, we will check the jam cams, whether we come right back. 6 13, wasnt wednesday delightful . Plenty every sunday shine. Still have mild temperatures. Cold front hasnt come through yet. But the rain has arrived in advance of the front, which means it, wont be long for the colder air to get here. And as we look right here, we see widely scattered showers, so couple of hours to go with this very light rain, not expected to add up to much at all. Shouldnt cause too many problems. Nothing like what we had on monday, with the noreaster. But here comes the showers, on and off throughout the rest of the morning, basically, through morning rush, around 9 00 and even through 10 00 we will see lingering showers, but, most of our computer models have it out of here by 11 00, 12 00 at the latest then the wind pick up, right after the front comes through. And it will be a very windy afternoon. How much rain . We will be lucky to get. 10 of an inch out of the system, we have 45 degrees in philadelphia right now, 51 degrees in wildwood, and 52 in dover. Yes, these are unusual Early Morning temperatures, for january, because most of them are above the normal High Temperature, which is 40 degrees. Winds are not issue any more. So lets get to the seven day forecast, where temperatures kind of go down, down, down. 55 degrees, today. Fortyfour tomorrow. And then close to 40, on saturday, and sunday, which is seasonable, and the best part about the weekends is it will be dry. We continue that dry weather, even though it gets chillier, monday, tuesday of next week. And those are the last two days of january. Chilly start to the month of february, with maybe some precipitation. Bob kelly . Good morning, everybody, 6 16. Picture, just sent to me by steve keeley, who has been down there at 12th and market, this is white house security, here in philadelphia. All parked along the right lane of Market Street. Right in front of the Pennsylvania Convention center. So thats one example, then on the flip side, they have a giant box truck kind of sideways along Market Street. So starting to put in the lane restrictions, and of course, the secret service and the tight security, that box truck, obviously there, to prevent other vehicles from getting too close to the loews hotel here, wherever one will be set up at 12th and market. So thats the main area. Thats your dot, right there on the map. Road closures already starting to see, as i just showed you, maybe lane here, lane there, bottom line, Market Street, between city half and 11th, 12 and 13th street. Spread out about had blocks, the area you want to try to avoid if you have to come into center city. Best way to get here the market frank for line t runs underground. But you can use 11th street or entering or exiting the sun way. Your best been would be 15th at Dilworth Plaza. Broad street subway, is not impacted by todays events at all. But the septa bus route, dual toured east of city hall, full list up on septa websitement trolley rights begin and end at 15th street. They wont go to the end of the line at 13th. And new Jersey Transit buses, theyre the bus that is come in over the ben franklin, and come into center city. Theyll be detoured, as well, so expect delays also down at the airport, we will have weather delays, and 3vip arrivals, 10 30, 11 30, 12 30, give or take a few minutes, then motorcade from the airport right here into downtown, thomas and alex back to you. Just pioneer creating one every tell investigations first single working women. She was an unmarried woman, trying to make it in her career. And sort of trying to juggle this eternal question of the Work Life Balance for women. That was very, very rare site on television in those days, of course, nowadays we have a lot of different types of stories like that, thanks to Mary Tyler Moore. Who can turn the world on with a smile. That was her most certainly that she could and she did make it after all. I mean, she changed the way women were viewed on tv even on the dick vandike showment so many women at the time wearing heals, and she wore pants, flat, something even as little as that made it. And tv producer, single. We didnt have women that worked in it. V at that time really. Now look at our news rooms. How much has changed. So many people both on air and behind the scenes that are women working in television and in all of businesses and industries. So uncommon, but more so during those times, the show was accepted. I mean it went onto win 29 emmies, the show itself. So just shows you that she broke through television. She identified with those who were watching, which, you know, we mention was uncommon at the time. Well, she will be missed by a lot. And a lot of women, a loft stars thank her for setting the example, being a trailblazer, guys. Certainly do. Thank you, karen, we say thank you to Mary Tyler Moore. She was 80 years old. She will certainly be remembered. I was wondering if an electric toothbrush really cleans. Better than a manual, and my hygienist says it does. But. Theyre not all the same. Turns out, theyre really. Yes, devlin in his Fourth Season as fullback for the patriots. He hasnt missed an game in the last three years. Look at that force right there. He played High School Football in boyertown. He is the guy who always did the dirty work. His former coaches say he still would prefer the satisfaction of keeping tom brady clean and excepting the praise for it. His job is not to get in there, his job to read the play, get the block scheme and go back to the sky if he is leading for the running back he has the tough slide better. Thats his job. He doesnt have anybody else to block. Go get the toughest guy and knock him down. Jimmy always wanted to be an nfl players. His dream at brown, his dream past brown. When he was bouncing around. But you werent going to tell james devlin he wasnt going to make it to the nnl because he was. That guy with a brick wall, sixthree, 255 pounds. My goodness, have to wish him luck then. Good morning, al innings. We are still hours away from the first scheduled antitrump protest. However, the barriers are in place. And so are police already. Outside the loews hotel on Market Street, we will be right back. Creamy, crunchy, chocolatey, hersheys. Packed with cookies or almond pieces. Hersheys has the taste you love in every bite. President is coming to town, donald trump making first stop in philadelphia since taking office. We will have Team Coverage with all of the details of todays visit. Jenny joyce, and bob kelly, theyre standing by. Meanwhile, sanctuary cities are pushing back against President Trump. Hear what mayor ken had i to say, and why this could cost the city some money. And then, i think, were about to go live to skyfox. Where there is a big sinkhole in cheltenham township. We first showed you this yesterday morning, this sunday we covered all morning. 35 feet deep. You see by the garage there, yesterday at this time, there was a truck teetering on the edge, of course resident there this morning, theyre without water and gas has been shut off. Well update you coming up in just a moment. Great to have you with us here at 6 30, lots to talk b road closures, pedestrian restrictions, and parking restrictions, in center city. Also expecting some big protests, so we will cover it all for you. But good morning to you. It is thursday, january 26, 2017. And here is the good news. Yesterday felt amazing, sue. I was outside like yes yes, i know, i know, took the dog for a walk, it was glorious. It was 54 degrees, officially yesterday. And it is still kind of mild today. Six out of ten, showers around already. Most of our temperatures, though, in the fours, down to the south in the 50s. But you can see, the rain rolling in ahead of cold front. Thats moving through the central part of pennsylvania, right now, couple of more hours of this, on and off light rain, no matter where you are, youre going to get some rain. You can see the grounds is wet here in old city, already it is 45 degrees. Sunrise official at 7 14, we wont see sun initially, but we will later on in the day, and reach early high of around 55 degrees, before the cold front bridges those chillier temperatures just in time for the weekend. And later on this afternoon winds will probably gust up to 35 miles an hour. So if youre out all day, and it is your trash day, bob kelly, you know how that goes . Going gown the block looking for the trash can. I forgot to put my trash out last night, already in bed when i realize i should have, you know what, we will let it roll for another week. Good morning, 6 32, starting to roll to a halt here, this is downtown, vine st. Local, stack up, and pack up here on both sides of vine st. Expressway, looking good, again, there is a lot of stuff thats happening here in center city. Heres pictures, im sharing with you, sent to us from steve keeley in front of the lowes here. Notice the box truck now across the lanes of Market Street. Preventing access to the loews hotel. You also have security personnel from the white house and washington showing up here on Market Street, right in front of the Convention Center. Road closures already starting to see that Market Street between city hall and 11th, portions every 12th, 13th, there is no parking along that stretch there, pretty much take 12th and market, and go out about four, five blocks, and thats the area you want to avoid. If you need to come into downtown the market frankford line is the way to do it, the only difference here, not going to stop at 13th street. That station is closed but you will have access on 11th street, where you can enter or exit the trains at 15th and Dilworth Plaza. Thats the way to go. The market frankford line runs under ground, will not be impacted by the protest, or the motorcades, all of the septa bus routes are detoured east of city hall, the septa trolleys are beginning and ending their trip at 15th street, new Jersey Transit buses, also, on detour, and i just got word that all new Jersey Transit northeast corridor trains are running with 30 minute delays, because of some signal problems in north jersey, and because of the arrival of air force one, Vice President and Prime Minister most likely some brief stoppages, then domino delays down at philly international. Thomas and alex back over to you. Thank you, bob. Coming up on 6 34, some breaking news, firefighters had battling a two alarm fire in chester. This is at eighth and barclay. Were told there are no injuries and the fire is now under control. This is video from fresco. This was just a little bit ago. It looks like you can see from the video showing just a second ago the windows down at the bottom are boarded upment looks like it is a home thats vacant. There is a lot of crews that are on the scene there. We talk about two alarm fire, tells you how quickly this friar spread goes from one alarm to two, numbers every unit responding this morning, you mentioned, alex, see the numbers the windows boarded up. Encouraging news when we talk injuries, we know some people get inside the homes. They live there. They, you know, vacate for awhile, perhaps thats how the fire started. The investigation far from over. Of course just beginning as soon as they get that fire under control, we will update you on the latest coming up in just a moment. Sure will. Lets talk about trump. First hundred days, actually talked about the first 200 days, we will tell but that in just a little bit. Today philadelphia, theyll be buzzing with President Trump in town. He invites president pence, going to be meeting with republican lawmakers for their annual gop retreat. Congressional republicans, they got to work yesterday. Putting together aggressive two hyundai agenda, that was led by Speaker Paul Ryan. Plans include acting on healthcare repeal bill. By the end of march and rewriting the tax code, by august. President trump will be greeted by thousands of picket signs, expected to be greeted by lot of picket signs and protesters when arrives in the center city. Now two have been pulled to have big protest event when he comes. Also Facebook Page thats growing, so far 3,000 people say they will be out today in full force. The Affordable Care ability, one of the main reasons theyre out there. Saw it yesterday. Along Market Street, dancing, demonstrators gathering, and they will be gathering for a second day to protest Trump Administration agenda. Lets get out to jenny joyce in center city with the latest. Hi, jenny. Reporter good morning, thomas. Just here chatting with photographer jared, wondering if the anticipated morning rainfall can do anything to diminish the anticipated crowds today. Police are expecting that thousands of people will converge here on Market Street here between 11th and 13th street outside of the loews hotel. Last night as you mentioned, the crowd dance in the protest in hoping to move their message across for those inch town. The antitrump group angry about number of policies the president is actively working to put in place in preparation for protests last night and today. The local Police Department is working with the fbi and secret service to make sure both the president of the United States and the protesters are safe out here, while police are used to handling big crowds in this city. This crowd could be a little bit different. Officers anticipate a lot of passion. Police will use number of Community Policing tactics, like placing plane clothes Civil Affairs officers in with the crowds, and mobilizing several officers on bikes, for approachability and quick access in the event of an issue. We talked to couple of protesters who were out here yesterday. This is such a heavy weight, since trump was inaugurated. So many people, so many different identities, see Trump Inauguration as fosh their survival, i think really heavy and depressing for a lot of people. We dont approve of Donald Trumps election, we dont approve of the policies that he and the gop are putting force. People, lets dance. And yesterday chief inspector joe sullivan of the Security Unit said that we wont see police out here in riot gear for these events, that sends a combative message. Instead police want the protesters to know that theyre allowing them to do what they need to do to let their voices be heard as long as it does not compromise the safety and security of others. So in a worse case scenario, if arrests do happen, police want to pursue only lowlevel charges, but of course, the goal out here, no arrests, and no confrontation cents with the philadelphia Police Department. Alex, thomas . Okay, thank you, jenny, weve certainly seen people protest that is have happened here in philadelphia. Dow believe this can happen. Well have to see what happens later today, but certainly are preparing for it. Certainly hope it will. President trump he he can tiff action on immigration certainly having an impact right here in philadelphia. The president says he wants to strip federal grant money from san too area cities such as philadelphia. Which do not cooperate with immigration officials trying to deport illegal held for certain crimes. Says the feds will get no more cooperation, the mayor already gets. We turn dangerous people over to them, when there is a warrant. And a warrant is not a difficult thing for federal government to get. Immigrant population is not the source of crime. Theyre often the victims of crime or the witnesses to crime and driving them underground does not make the city safe. Immigration experts and civil liberty groups are doubtful President Trump has the Constitutional Authority to strip federal grant money from sanctuary cities. 6 39. Following developing news this morning, fire crews battled heavy fire last night on the 600 block of orland road. It broke out earlier this morning at around 1 00. Two homes were involved. Firefighters were able to get it under control about 40 minute later, and there were no injuries. Man hit by 50pound dumbbell that crashed through his windshield has now died. Seventyfive year old jack decarlo was driving on the new jersey turnpike on january 9th, when the dumbbell came flying seemingly out of no where. He was on his way to myrtle beach with his wife and shes okay, physically. Police are still trying to figure out where the dumbbell came from. This morning student at st. Joes are being warned to keep their guard up after a scary attempted abduction. St. Joes Public Safety says around 9 15, tuesday night student left campus and was walking when she says two men forced her into a parking area. One of them had a gun. The students told police she screamed for help and thats when the men ran off. Getting your baby to sleep in new jersey just got little easier for you. The garden state now the first state in the u. Hopefully cut down on whats become a problem. And hopefully this is a big step toward that. Well, 6 41, before his trip to philadelphia, President Trump opens up in his first oneonone as president. Why he says his claims of voter fraud are legitimate. Despite criticism from both sides of the aisle. We invited women to a spa to dish soap. Body wash. Update on sinkhole, skyfox over it, taking a look whats theyve done since yesterday. First showed this on the show yesterday morning. You can see, there, still massive crater. They dumped they had done some work, this a tarp covering it. I think this is over the house casino every looking down on t crews worked throughout the day yesterday to stabilize the hole. They want to make sure there was no danger to the surrounding homes. Dozens every people were left without water, due to large water main break, in the hole. And the hole was estimated to be about 35 feet deep. You can see they filled it up lit bit. Officials have not said whether the water main break caused sinkhole or whether it was the other way around, crews are still work to go get water back to dozens of homes that live on brooke road there. But this, the truck gone, im guessing, bob, we can assume the owner got his truck back, and everything is okay. You can drive to work this morning . I would put a Swimming Pool this that sucker right there, thats what i would do. Keep the for sale sign up. Bring the kids over, lets go swimming. 6 44, if i was in charge over there, thats what i would do. Good morning, looking live downtown, stuff going to happen. Already, look at the gridlock here vine st. Local and there you go. Boom. Right there. This is vine st. Local coming in toward eighth street, again, looks like the police are already, could be protest, see the folks all Walking Around in this intersection here . Thats causing delays already coming into and out of philly. Looks like theyre detouring them off vine st. Local coming into center city. This is what we will see happening throughout the morning. I know the game plan was put in place, and the particular closures were listed yesterday, but this is something obviously that was not on the game plan, so we will have to roll with it here today. I95, coming up from delco, starting to see some sprinkles, on the cams. Be ready for the motorcades. Motorcade madness, leaving the airport coming in toward philadelphia. Three separate motorcades today, that will be on the move.
