Investigators tell us, that the child lives here at this home with his parents, and four siblings, police say, just before 12 30 this morning, they found out that a child was transported by way after private vehicle to Methodist Hospital after he was shot in the face with a revolver. The boy was then moved to chop for treatment. The shooting happened in the victims parents second floor bedroom. And at this point, police say, they believe that this was a selfinflicted accidental shooting. But, police dont know how the child got his hands on the gun. According to police, both of the boys parent, and all of his siblings were home at the time. The oldest child in the home is just 13 years old. We believe that this 11 year old boy got ahold of the gun, that was in the second there are floor front bedroom, and possibly accidentally shot himself in the face. The gun laying on the floor, and other live bullets in that second floor front bedroom. So, it appears thats where the shot was fired in the second floor front bedroom. Now, we know the 11 year olds mother and father were home at the time, as well as four siblings. And the other three all being under the age of ten. We dont know where they were in the house at the time that the shot was fired. And police tell us that they have recovered the revolver from the bedroom where the shooting occurred, but at this point, theyve not check who that gun is registered to. Theyre working on that information to confirm who the gun belonged to.
