Our jenny joyce on the scene this morning. What do we know, jenny . Reporter good morning, thomas, police tell us that yes, necessary Critical Condition, but he is expected to survive undergoing treatment right now at chop. Live on the 2600 block of hick street where the shooting happened. It is where the 11 year old boy lives with his parents and four brother and sisters. Police tell us just before 12 30 this morning they found out that a child was transported in a private vehicle to Methodist Hospital after he was shot in the face with a revolver. The boy was then moved to chop for treatment. The shooting happened in the victims parents second floor bedroom at this point Police Believe this was an accidental shooting but police dont know how the child got his hands on the gun. According to police, both of the boys parents and all of his sib rings were home at the time. The oldest child in the house just 13 years old. Detectives right now are interviewing Family Members to try to get some more information. Doctors at Methodist Hospital initially put him in Critical Condition. And they had him transferred to Childrens Hospital. Since Methodist Hospital is not a trauma center. Once the child arrived at Childrens Hospital, he was treated by doctors. Now, he is still in Critical Condition with a gunshot wound to his face. However, doctors at Childrens Hospital do expect him to survive. They also say this 11 year old boy is conscious. And police say that they did recover the revolver from the upstairs front bedroom where the shooting happened. They also recovered bullets and spent the Early Morning hours collecting evidence. Earlier detective went doortodoor to question neighbors to ask if they heard any yelling or fighting before the shot were fired. Police do believe this was selfinflicted accidental shooting, the 11 year old boy was shot in the face, was taken to chop, and is in Critical Condition at this hour. Thomas, karen . David creato the man that prosecutors charged with killing his three year old son admits he did t dawn timoney on the stunning reversal right before his new trial. It is a really, really sad conclusion to a really, really sad thing. Lots of heavy hearts in Haddon Township today after news began to spread that 23 year old dj creato pleaded guilty this morning to killing his little boy, brendan, almost two years ago. Creato was scheduled to be retried on first degree murder charges in a matter of weeks, after a Camden County jury was hopelessly deadlocked in may. Many in this tight Community Showing their continued support for the three year old boy, with blue ribbons outside their homes. Those we spoke to today were not surprised creato struck a deal. It happened at the legal systemment didnt happen in the moral system. Im sure he look forward and his lawyer said this is the best thing you can do. Appauling, shocking, scary, doesnt surprise me. Under the plea agreement creato admitted under oath that he deprived his little boy of oxygen on october 13, 2015. He agreed to be sentenced to ten years in prison, required to serve eight and a half years. I think it is kind of sad that you can murder your son and end up being sentenced to eight and half years. But you have to have evidence to convict somebody. So without evidence it makes it very difficult. There were no eyewitnesses to the crime. Not even a specific cause of death. Creato telling police he didnt know what happened making this 91 call to police the morning in question. I just woke up and he wasnt in my i dont know where he is. Three hours later about 9 00 the little boy was found in a wooded area in a creek about three quarters after mile from creatos operate. Apartment. His father, dj, last person to see him alive, now finally admitting he ended his life. Who knows what goes on inside an individual like. Reporter karen, at this point police arent giving specifics on that. What they did tell us they did recover the gun that was used in this shooting from the second floor bedroom. The man accused of shooting a teen in a extreme fit of road rage expected back in court today for formal arraignment. Police say 28 year old david desper right here shot and killed Bianca Robeson on june 28th while driving on the route 100 bypass. She was attempting to merge into a lane with his red pickup truck when the shooting happened. The Delaware County man has been charged with murder, robeson due to Start College this fall was due to Start College this fall. So, a tradition that weve had in the past, the pumpkin chunk willing, it has been canceled due to the pending lawsuit because after woman who was was critically injured during last years event.
