Reporter not that anybody will recognize this location because there is no landmarks just trees and opened traffic but you can still see debris, and you will see on the side of the road a vehicle where they crashed and this bus overturned. Lets go to the video. This happened after midnight. They have it cleared, as you can tell but lanes reopened and it is a great job, fast work by them as well despite having to do an investigation. First thing they did was get everybody out and get them to the hospital, and then crews went to work riding this bus which is pretty heavy and they got bus righted and they got tractor trailer, straightened, both vehicles ended up 200 yard from each other. Lets go to video number two and look at what we saw once they towed the bus past where they were. Heavy damage to the rear drivers side, which indicates they got rear ended but does that indicate tractor trailer driver was at fault because who knows. You can see as we come by to the live picture both lanes everybody going 60. Sixtyfive or faster but if somebody was just doing speed limit and speeding you still wouldnt see kind of damage that we saw there. I asked jenny joyce if she had been able to get anything from the passengers. Yes, they were moving, they werent stopped on the shoulder but they thought they were going slow and maybe going slow, possibly and this is not confirmed because the driver may have nodded off. The passengers which we only see back of the head and if they would have screamed but if they were going slow and veering across both lanes maybe that is a cause. We dont know just yet but we just noticed that the bus was rear ended and tossed off the road. We will figure out from state police eventually what caused this crash, but it was pouring out at the time. Visibility probably wasnt ideal, and, of course, dark. You dont even see streetlights.
