Correction Officials Say theyve been working through the night, continuing negotiations, and hopes for a peaceful resolution, the hostage situation started around 10 30 yesterday morning. Officers received a call about major disturbance inside of building c, four employees, including three officers, and a counselor, were initially taken hostage. Two of those employees have since been released and are okay. It is unclear who is leading the charge, how many inmate are involved in the takeover, and how many are victims themselves. Officials say they think the inmates are monitoring whats happening outside of the prison walls right now. The inmate in this build doing have access to television, so theyly be watching the broadcast live at this time. So thats another form of communication that they have.
