And precipitation. That is why we have reporters all over the delaware valley. We have steve in Lehigh County , we have jenny, in trenton. We have lauren in Delaware County and start, right downstairs in philadelphia taking track of all of it. Great to have you with us. Bob kelly is tracking latest conditions on the road. Good morning, bob. Sue serio, it will be a busy one. It is and storm is here. At lee that parties right. I know, i know, you know it is that trickiness and now we have to nail down the amount of precipitation. It is a one out of 10 weather by numbers today because no matter what you are getting there is a mess. Is there a wide view, how far south it stretches, we have a variety there of snow, of sleet, and of rain, it just depend on where you live and watches and warnings all over the place. Blizzard warning for our northern suburbs, winter storm warning for most of the rest of us, Winter Weather advisory for kent county, south of there in delaware and high wind warning, that is really issue for the shore are the wind today, Cape May County, Sussex County in delaware with the wind. Right at freezing in philadelphia right now, below freezing to the north of us and above to the south of us, wildwood at 44 degrees which is why they are only getting rain. Do expect significant snow especially north and west of the city, double digits are possible for accumulations and as we mentioned at the shore it is 40 to 60 miles an hour wind gusts, but inland we have high wind which means Power Outages, coastal flooding as well, height of the storm, would i say, eight to 11 this morning. Here is the map, everybody waits for, how much will we get. Well, bulls eye, of course, highest precipitation, mountains, Lehigh Valley right behind it so 16 to 24 for mountains, 10 to 15 inches possible in lancaster, berks county, and we will go to six to 10 along i95 corridor but could go either way depending on how much mixing, four to 6 inches to the south of that in salem county, new jersey. Two to four around millville new jersey and mostly rain for Cape May County and southern delaware. So that is what we have got for the duration of this storm , we have Scott Williams outside, here in the city, and we were talking earlier this morning this is most tricky part to information cast is how much snow we will get right here. Because of the mixing,. Absolutely, that is key. Temperatures right around freezing in the philadelphia area, the snow started out several hours ago, and change over to a snow and sleet mixture, the sleet is here. We are seeing that mixing here in center city. You can see on the sidewalk we have one to 2 inches of snow, that has already fallen, there have been some people out and about, some crews earlier were kind of clearing the sidewalk, across the street, and the road is here on Market Street, just, icy and also dicey, and not a whole lot of folks out, i saw a couple septa buses going down Market Street earlier but no passengers. A lot of folks are hunkered down watching how the storm will evolve here on fox 29. Take a look at that streetlight and you can see we are seeing that snow, sleet mixture, visibility have been reduced around philadelphia area but especially the further north and west you head where those blizzard warnings are in effect but right now we are keeping tabs on that snow, sleet mixture and Road Conditions are deteriorating, as well, across the area, right now, we will continue our Team Coverage with bob kelly, one, how are road changing, what are you seeing really across the area. Tough thing right now is that dont let Mother Nature fool you because there is that coating of snow, but underneath, could that be sleet, freezing rain and ice. Heres a live look at 202 and bristol road where just a few moments ago it was fully snow covered here and then, just shows you folks waking up in the last half an hour, we will get a couple tracks. You can see fluffy flakes coming at you sideways. Wind is a factor. Crews have been all night long out and starting to see effect s of the first layer of salt taking effect, vine street expressway, wet, passable, but it is also slushy on the on and the off ramps. You could go 45 miles an hour and then hit that off ramp and then right in the pile of slush. Heres a live look at 295, roadways are wet, slower than normal speed down to 15 on 295 , we will also have a jackknife tractor trailer south on 295, right down near route 561. 322 closed at route 55, accident pulled down wires, it looks like it will be there most of the morning. Philadelphia is under a snow emergency no parking on the snow emergency routes otherwise they will toe your car. Ppa not enforcing meters or kiosks this morning and offering five dollars parking, at select garages here in philadelphia. Regional rail lines running on a saturday schedule, cynwyd line those services suspended. Otherwise amtrak, acela express and amtrak regionals running on a modified snow schedule. Same with patco, new Jersey Transit, trains running on a modified schedule but buses have been suspended. Here in philadelphia if you must get where you are going to day best way to do it is you have your two Options Market frankford, and broad street subway. They are running trains every 20 minutes. They have been running around the clock every 20 minutes. That is your best bet if you have to head on out there this morning, karen and thomas back to you. We need help getting around with our Team Coverage we have the latest School Closing s right at the bottom of the screen. We want to see what you are seeing as well. Send us your pictures using fox 29 snow. As sue mentioned Lehigh Valley expected to get heaviest snow totals sue calling for 16 to 24 inches. Lets check with steve keeley. Last time they got socked in it took them a long time to dig out. Is this the boot cam, steve. Reporter there is a sedan, michael if you can show that street down there, somebody is driving around in this. We have already got 4 inches that is falling, they have plowed where i am standing and i almost just fell and good 2 inches deep again already. I will have this line, the snow is already coming down here in sheetz. I know sue serio is at lee laughing, i can always rely on her for my comedy audience. The economy is good, for those guys because i guess people will pay them to constantly plow their parking lot and driveway over and over and over again because this is just the beginning of is what expected to be war time of this storm in the Lehigh Valley and that is between 7 00 a. M. And 3 00 p. M. When i say war times there is a breeze blowing and snow is falling into the camera sideways but they are expecting gusts to hit 35 miles an hour, steadily, 10 to 20 miles an hour wind but gusting to 35 for several hours, between seven and 3 00. We will be wearing more layers later. By the way, this 2 feet plus of snow that they expect up here, these are the boots that i brought with me to wear once the tough getting. This isnt going to cut it. Im not a report their stand in the waste way high water in fishing waiters which is stupides thing in the world. They have to stand in water. They cannot stand and show you the water. This isnt going to cut it. War feeling when you get snow as you know, karen, when you get snow that goes in the boot and your body heat warms it up and then you have, wet feet. I will put these on to keep snow out. This is a half foot maybe a foot, less in height then they are expecting snow here. This kind of gives us a good illustration what they are expecting more than knee high deep unless you are kareem abdul jabber and then you are okay. Jen fred thigh highs what you need to go for. Did you to have go that route. It is 4 09. That is what i was thinking. Thanks, steve. We appreciate that. With that we complete our fashion segment. We appreciate it. We are tracking conditions from Lehigh Valley down to Delaware County. So lets go to Lauren Johnson in folsom, lauren, you had sleet conditions, what is it like right now. Reporter hi, hi to you, look see who is passing by another plow truck that is what we have been seeing a lot of. Not many cars. You can see trail of footprints here, lone person braving the elements out here who walk by us 30 minutes ago. We are here at wawa in fall come. Take a look at our live truck, the elements falling down in front of the headlights there. This is more wet and more rain , sleet, snow mix but it is still piling up. As you can see on the ground in front of the truck. Over in the parking lot we have not seen too many cars but we have seen a plow truck that continues to move as steve was just describing to keep the snow out of the way of the customers who may show up here. I flan to one guy to do an interview because i was curious what did you do here snow just waved, stay safe and didnt say anything else. Rolled the window backup. We have not seen too many people here karen and thomas. It has been quiet. We told you one person walked by and a lot of different plow trucks have come by in this dont know if you can hear it on our rain coat but, it is a lot of mixture here. It is not really on our way down we came down from center city, it was more snow and as we got here to Delaware County it became a mixture. We bumped in to a snafu a car had spun around on i95 south and we didnt know what was going on, we saw Police Vehicles and then realized, in the wrong direction and trying to move it but having some trouble maneuvering on the highway, and they ended up going the wrong way but look, guys, more plow trucks in this area here, keeping the road safe. So that is what we are seeing here. I will move bring end up being like steve keeley and getting smacked by the snow. Things are good here. We will keep an eye out. For now it is a mixture of snow, sleet and rain. All right, thanks very much , lauren. We see right along that corridor where snow is mixing. Sue says it will impact snow totals in someplace, six to 10, 1016, 16 to 24 she will update us throughout the morning. It is important to know we have a snow emergency in effect for philadelphia. So many surrounding towns have declared their individual snow emergencies which means if you live near snow emergency route or on one you have to get your cars off of that area. Or they will do it for you they will put tonight a different location. So these streets will be able to be plowed so people can get by. Cars on the snow emergency routes will be put in other parking spots or towed to a assist any snowplow operation. In case you are wondering snow route include sixth and market, ben franklin parkway to 16th street, University Avenue to 34th street, all snow emergency information by the way, routes can be found on fox 29. Com and bob kelly will update us throughout the morning. By the way the Philadelphia Police department is reminding residents that the no save rule is in effect. City residents have a history of saving Parking Spaces with cones or folding chairs after digging them out. They have posted this, winter ace coming and how safe is gathering army playing game of cones can lead to fines, so shovel and share. No saveies. Game of thrones they make me laugh but they wont to you that out there and put your trash cans and such. We have so much more coming up next, keep those photos coming in as we join you this morning. A lot of you will be working from home or staying from home so many kid are already off from school and that continuing list is at bottom of the screen. Lets get a check of the traffic conditions on the road , this morning, good morning, bob. Good morning, that was Market Street we were just looking at here good morning to the gang in wilmington, slower than normal speed up and down 495 or i95. Send us your pictures, powe them to facebook, twitter, instagram using that fox 29 snow. Speaking of snow, lets go to Blue Mountain where they are loving the snow, look at that patio set up where sueby has your forecast and we will check jam cams when we come right back. At air wick we know the power of that first whiff of your favorite scent. Air Wick Freshmatic releases timed bursts of the fragrances you love. So that first whiff feeling never fades. Air Wick Freshmatic. Very good morning, to you, 4 16. We see the snow in olde city philadelphia, looking live, changing over to sleet. Of course, sue says heavier stuff will come around 8 00 give or take an hour, lets just go to sue with the very latest conditions, sue, hi. Right, hazy shade of winter we have a few preliminary snowfall totals in the 2inch range and this of course is the key, so far. 2 inches recorded at philly international, cinnaminson 2 inches, wynnewood same, new castle delaware close to two, and upper darby so far more to the north we will get more reports in, we will let you know. But in the meantime this storm has already stretched up to the great lakes and all the way down to georgia. That is the effects of this storm but the heaviest rain is to the south of us in, southern delaware right now. We have an in between area of sleet, freezing rain, snow, and then nothing but snow to the north of us. We will zoom in heres philadelphia you can see why when we talk to scott he was experiencing some sleet, right on his jacket and sleet that is mixed with the snow, Clifton Heights in delco the same. This is why these two areas are not included necessarily in the blizzard warning because snowfall totals could be a little less depending how much mixing we will get. In harleysville snowing pretty steadily and heavily and to the north of that as well and heavy rain from ocean pines in maryland up to Atlantic City in new jersey. So wind will be an issue as well. So we will look at future cast , you can see that line between rain and snow, moving northward, by about seven or 8 00 oclock with the heaviest snow continuing to the north and look at 9 00 that dark blue, up in lets say montgomery, bucks, Lehigh Valley, it will continue to snow pretty heavily there. But then by 11 00 we are seeing it dry out to the south of us but still snowing heavily to the north of us, thus the blizzard warning and then wrap around moisture as cold air gets drawn in with the exit of the storm. We will see snow, light snow, through 2 00 in the afternoon, that would be snow showers and squals. Then we will head into tomorrow with a couple of snow showers as well. So, that is the time line of the storm, it stays pretty cold after that. We have blizzard warning to the north, winter storm warning here and to the south, and then, we have a Winter Weather advice rid in effect as well. So height of the storm we will have snowfall rates of two to 4 inches an hour, wind gusts inland as high as 45 miles an hour which means possibility of Power Outages and visibility, could be as low as a quarter mile or less, and that means hazardous travel and we have already heard about reports of that. You are about to hear about more from bob kelly. Reduced visibilities especially to the north where it is snowing heavily. We are down to 4 miles at philly international. Looking at our forecast snowfall totals between six and 10 inches along i95 corridor, could be less if we get more mixing. Ten to 16 inches, pretty sharp cut off between heavier snow and lighter amounts down to the south of news southern new jersey, as well and then, of course, rain after. That quick look at seven day forecast keeps us cold through st. Patricks day on friday and the first day of spring on monday, it is not on sunday on monday, i have to move that. Wow. That is already, sunday night into monday. Thanks for covering my butt good morning, everybody. 4 20. Hello, northeast philadelphia, live look at harbison avenue just off of frankford avenue to give you an idea what it looks like here in the neighborhood. This fella stopped for traffic light. Make sure as you head out you get that snow off the hood of the roof of the car but an example of the roadways here that first layer of salt, doing its trick, that the salt crews have put down overnight. Flags blowing in the wind here , obviously youll feel it rocking the cars coming across the area bridges, 25 miles an hour across all of the bridges in our area but gang down in delaware we are dealing with some rain, wet road and it is also that slush at all intersections and that is just as slippery, as driving on some ice, most, if not all of the flights cancelled down there at philly international, so do check with the airline if you intended to fly today. Heres the game plan for most of the mass trans tonight our area, amtrak running on a regular snow saturday schedule , patco operating on a modified schedule, new Jersey Transit trains running on a modified schedule but the bus routes have been suspended, while the dart buses are operating with delays. Regional rails running on a saturday schedule, cynwyd line suspended for the day. Best way to get around town if you have to market frankford, broad street subway those trains are running every 20 minutes, right now without delays. Show us what you are seeing, snap a picture let us see your lawn furniture or Patio Furniture it is always good to see that during the storms and powe it up there on facebook, twitter, instagram and use the fox 29 snow, karen and thomas , back to you. There is so much to cover in different areas we want a window on is what happening in our delaware valley. Lauer lawrenceville, new jersey. Where jen freddies where the snow was coming down sideways a moment ago, good morning to you, jen. Reporter good morning. It is snowing and it is also sleeting. Exactly what bob and sue are talking about. We are seeing a mix here. Were in lawrenceville north of trenton, Mercer County right along route one. We see Police Activity across the street. We have seen tons, and tons, of plows. What we have not seen are people. We kind of park here by a wawa , mcdonalds hoping that people would be able to come in and out and even though it is 24 hour wawa it does not appear to be order at this time but there are cars driving all around this area. I think part of the reason why they are able to get around is that these road do appear to have been treated pretty well and it is well lit, right . You can see what you are doing it is easier to get up and down an area like this like route one. This is Mercer County, new jersey. I dont know if you can hear it but it seems to be even though it might look like snow more wet, then it is, heavier snow. Oh, absolutely it does look like wet snow, thank you very much. We do appreciate that. That is scene from new jersey where we are seeing wet snow coming down, maybe were getting thinning of the snow just for this short period. Get something banding. We will check with sue in just a moment. But lets check with sports, lots going on, sean bell. Coming up in sports in a ming also making moves in free agency they who one of their defensive starters but gained a valuable backup see who went where next up in sports. Flyers playoff hopes are falling by the day, they have who three out of four games going in to last night and they continue to struggle, against the blue jackets. In the third period tied at three, the wheels are falling off, on the power play blue jackets, gets the goal, flyers lose fivethree. Their Third Straight loss. Yesterday villanova left for buffalo, insuring to avoid the snowstorm. The guys are trying to win back to back championship but jay wright says even if they fall short this season can still be considered a success. When you you are number one seed and to the fans and mediate will look like a failure but were not afraid of failure. Were not afraid of people defining us as failure as long as we play hard for each other and were good. Eagles lose another starter, bennie logan signed a one year deal with the kansas city chiefs. That is sports in a minute , im sean bell. Right now on good day philadelphia who have a major noreaster and it ace above our head. We are tracking it all as it moves across our area. Radar is all lit up. Great to have you with us. Streets and highways they are covered be very careful heading out this morning. We have Team Coverage from all across the region. Lets start with lauren, good morning. Reporter good morning to both of you. We are live at wawa in Delaware County, folsom to be exact and snow is piling up here but they are plowing parking lot, making sure customers can make their way here for cup of coffee if they so choose but lets go up to trenton to talk to jen, hi there, jen. Reporter hi, we are north of there in lawrenceville Mercer County where i can tell you weather is more sleety then it is snowy at this hour. So not a lot of accumulation and it is relatively easy, guys to get in and around. It is not so thick, it is more wet. I heard that, it is pinging against windows with that sleet sound that mix we are in the middle of right now. Good morning, thanks for joining us. We have School Closings right not at bottom of the screen. You got text, they made the call last night. Kid are staying home, you get to stay at home and work for home. What is over under when kid start to get under your nerves 11 30. Yes. Yeah. They hit the liquor store yesterday they had their bottle of wine all set. The lines were so long, i turned around, went out, we went to a byob, i dont know what we will do. Well, it was crazy at Grocery Stores yesterday. Hopefully you are hunkered down because whatever the snowfall totals are it is treacherous travel. Bob kelly will tell but. That been kelly likes variety pack of cereals he told us many times. We have variety pack of precipitation, out there this morning and it is all a mess whether you are getting rain, sleet or freezing rain and snow. We will go to the number of the day i believe, and it is a one out of 10. Okay. I guess i advanced it to the radar, but anyway, that is more important anyway, because it shows you the variety pack there. You see the green, yellow . That is heavy rain and that is southern delaware and southern new jersey. We have the pink which is sleet and freezing rain, that is northern delaware and philadelphia area and delco, and then to the north of that it is snow, snow, snow, and more snow. So, that is what is going on with that, i think we. Yeah , we seem to be stuck on the radar, right now, and we will take a look as we will mess with the computer in a little bit but i will tell you what the problem is when we talk about snowfall accumulations, it is a situation where, here we go, with temperatures, it is going to determine the type of precipitation. You see how we are 1 degree above freezing in philadelphia , wilmington delaware that is why we are seeing sleet and then changes over to snow, back to sleet, it is all rain in southern new jersey. It is in the 20s north and west of us and that is why were seeing only snow. So impacts of the storm, significant snow especially north and west of the city, double digit accumulationness some places and it is whole different animal at the shore where it is not a snow issue but wind, rain, 40 to 60 miles an hour wind gusts at shore points which means Power Outages and coastal flooding is possible and we have had approximately eight to 11 is the height of the storm but we are seeing wind and variety of precipitation and that is why we have put Scott Williams outside to show us minute by minute how it is changing and why it is so tough to information cast snowfall amounts. Scott. Hi there, sue, yes that temperature it is critical. 33 degrees in philadelphia here at fourth and market. Still dealing with the wintry mix of sleet and snow. Sleet has us beat. It is pelting my jacket kind of bouncing around but we have about 2 inches of snow outside our studios here. Market street is kind of icy, dicey. It looks like a slushy. We have kind of some of that sleet, some of that snow, but you can also see some of the asphalt as well on the road, so not completely snow covered but once again the wind, it has begun to pick up a bit probably, gusting to about 20 miles an hour right now, here in the philadelphia area, and once again, we are dealing with that mixed precipitation, that will be key as we press throughout the next couple of hours, how much sleet we see when we see it change back over to some snow to kind of add to the accumulation that is we have already seen. Far north and west it is cold enough for all snow, where we have those blizzard warnings right now in effect and down the shore they are dealing with temperatures in the 40s. It is just all rain. Some crews have already cleared the sidewalk across the street, havent seen any plows going through yet, i have seen a couple septa buses once again going through, bob kelly has been keeping tabs on the Road Conditions, kind of changing depending on your location, across the area, our Team Coverage coverage continues with him, bob, what are trouble spots that we are seeing out there. I think what you have to be careful is what you have said. It is a mixed bag. Little bit of everything. Every neighborhood is different throughout our entire viewing area here we go , prospect park, tenth and washington it looks like they have got a snow plow coming on through here, so nice, pretty shot of the Church Ground here here is a shot here of york road in warminster. Nice shot there so again, snow covered where we have that mix to the rain and sleet, obviously things will be slippery. This is a live look here, it looks like one of the ramps to the blue route to the schuylkill expressway. This fellow here did a 360 and that is where the slippery spots. You are coming off major roadways, hit an off ramp, we have had at lee a dozen, spin out is here this morning. Live look at ben franklin bridge, again, wind kicking up old glory here, 25 miles an hour speed restriction across all of the area bridges. Heres a live look at the gang in delaware, road are wet but again as we mentioned it is wet, jen said, wet, slushy, it is that heavier snow where we have that mixing. Bottom line, 45 miles an hour speed restrictions on all majors. Salt crews have been out, so have plow crews, that is why we are seeing pavement and asphalt in our jam cams. Powe us your snow picks. What are you seeing in your yard, on your front lawn, powe them up to facebook, twitter, instagram using that fox 29 snow so we can share picks with everybody all morning long. If you must head out septa saturday schedule on all Regional Rail lines, cynwyd line suspended this morning, and amtrak, running a modified service as well as patco, new Jersey Transit, trains modifying service but bus routes have been suspended, dart system running buses, expect delays if you have to get where you are going this morning. Trains running every 20 minutes on the market frankford and broad street subway. They are two big work horses of the system running all night long. That is way to go if you must go out this morning. Karen and thomas back to you. We have so many closings i think people are staying home. We are taking a live look because we are under a snow emergency in philadelphia, and just about any and all of the rest of the communities really made those declarations right now, trash collections my trash day well, that has probably been moved, if thinks your normal day. Mine is saturday. Check with your township to see when yours will be. All philadelphia public and parochial schools are close today and we have others, we have 326 that have already come in and you can check on fox 29. Com. Also right there at bottom of the screen if you are staying home, sit back, relax, we will be with you all morning long, we are following conditions right now in Delaware County. We will have steve keeley in bethlehem but we will begin with our Lauren Johnson with the very latest, hi lauren in folsom this morning. Hi there, guys. Im in follow come at wawa and rain is coming down sideways. Im trying to protect the side of my face. It was snow when we first got here but they are plowing it out of the way. It is a messy mixture here. Heres what bobbies talking about. It will be gross when it gets to the streets and freeze over see where im standing here. It was snow. Would i say 30 minutes ago and now it is melting and coming down as rain. Plow trucks are over in the parking lot here and they are cleaning up the mess. As for streets we have seen a couple plow trucks go by here at wawa. We have only seen a few people walking out braving elements. Sometimes you will see, people venturing out to take pictures but it started coming down initially as snow and then we could hear it really loud and we knew it was a mixture. Now it feels more like rain slapping you in the face. Elements are changing. Scott, sue are describing throughout the morning and we will sky here and see if we can talk to people. Most people just running inside wawa it seems to grab coffee, snacks and running right back out not having much to say karen and thomas. Lauren, thanks very much. Thomas, you have been charging your phone. It first hard to keep them charged. It is important reminder if you are just getting up make sure your phonies connected and charged because we know power with the wet snow could go out at any moment. It is a possibility there. By the way we have a fox 29 app make sure you down load that in case you lose power. We will be here all morning long. Go on the app and check us out live on the air on apple and android devices. Use our fox 29 snow and send in your snow pictures. We have a couple good won already and seeing them on tv very shortly in the next break we will be right back. gasp just head shoulders . Are you kidding . This is celebrity hair i thought it was just for, like, dandruff theres life in it, theres stuff going on this is so free ah, its just so smooth. Like i wish that you could feel it. New head shoulders. Cleans, protects and moisturizes to. Get up to 100 flakefree and unbelievably beautiful hair you see it on commercials and you dont wanna believe it but, this is real people its not head shoulders, its the new head shoulders we are keeping tabs on the snow and sleet that has begun here in olde city philadelphia take a look at Market Street right now, it is icy, dicey, you can see some puddles, with the wet mess, and that snow and sleet continuing to fall. We are keeping tabs on the temperatures, the track of this system. We have Team Coverage that continues. Use that fox 29 snow, we will be right back. Hersheys miniatures. We pour em we pass em we pick em delicious fun for everyone. Hersheys miniatures are mine, yours, our chocolate. Good morning, welcome back 4 46. We are looking live at trooper road, snow covered out here in audubon, a nice pretty powe card style shot, but for any of us who have to head out today, lets bring in jane tid well from triple a. Good morning. Good morning, bob. Any tips for folks that have to go out there today. We have been telling people to stay home unless they have to go but there are follow thanks have to head out any tips from the old triple a gang. Absolutely first and foremost, triple a is urging everyone to use common sense. When you are about to head out , clean off your car of all snow and ice that has accumulated. Pennsylvania state law requires that before heading out to the road. Then, give yourself plenty of extra time, as we want to take it slow, increase following distances, and, make sure, overall, common sense prevails here. If you dont have to be out long enough today, allow that road crews to do so they can return. Is what number one item that you folks get phone calls for, in the triple a call center. When it is cold like this, dead batteries. That is number one reason we get calls during cold winter months. Would you suggest maybe go out and start car up a few minutes early, make sure it is warmed up, make sure that battery works in advance. Oh, sure absolutely before you head out make sure if you are doing this in your garage, put the garage door up, before you start and warm up your car , but modern technology in the cars today, you dont need to warm them up as much as eye to people let them run, just more of those creature comfort s of having a warm car to get into but letting it start, two or three minutes and you should be good to go. Janet, thanks very much. Be safe during the storm. Thanks to folks at triple a who take cares of us whenever we have a problem on the roadways. Thinks trooper road, again, it is a whole different scenario, all across our viewing area depending upon what you are getting right now. Folks up here getting that snow, snow covered, down here in northeast philadelphia along i95. We can see road are wet, really light volume so far this morning. But that has gotten folks in trouble. When we have light volume you have a tendency to go faster and then you hit that curve, or that icy patch or even the slush. Right now where we are seeing change over to the rain, sleet , to the snow and that mix in there it becomes slush, especially on the on and off ramps. This is a look down in delaware where road are wet. Bottom line salt and plow crew s are out there, 45 miles an hour speed restrictions on all majors. Powe us your snow picks, what are you seeing in your neighborhood. Maybe your front lawn. Powe a picture of your whole family having french toast because we have enough milk, bread and eggs. Use that fox 29 snow. If you have to head out there septa Regional Rails running on a saturday setteled youll. No services on the cynwyd line major mass transit systems running on a modified schedule except for the new Jersey Transit bus routes that no buses to day if you really have to head out there, leave the car at home take the train market frankford broad street subway they are running trains every 20 minutes, all day long , and how long is this snowstorm going to hang around how much will we get . Sueby has the answer in 152nd. S. We start with the lot wind because that is the other important factor as well as precipitation, snow, sleet and rain, 21 miles an hour sustained wind in philadelphia it was tranquil when we started at 3 30. Wind are picking up 22 miles an hour in dover, 14 in mount pocono and wind gusts as high as 31 miles an hour in Atlantic City, 30 miles an hour here. Wind are gusting as high as they are sustained and that will blow, drift the snow were getting or just make those sleet pellets hit you in the face if you have to go outside. Heres the snow stretching from all the way to northern new york, to down into georgia , this is how big this storm is and it is a monster, no matter what you get from it , it is a lot of it. So we have, that in between area from the heavier rain to the south, heavy snow to the north and then it is very dicey as Scott Williams said to walk, travel around, in the mixture of sleet and snow, so this is going to affect how much we accumulate. You can see were looking at snow on the radar here, in philadelphia but were still seeing as we look outside window some sleet mixed in. We will go to the north around pottstown and it seems to be snowing heavily there and piling up pretty quickly and then it is heavy rain down in georgetown delaware and cape may in new jersey. That is our variety pack of precipitation and that continues, throughout the rest of the morning, and into the early afternoon, and you can see heavy, heavy rain by 7 00 oclock in southern new jersey. Very heavy rain with possibility of thunder and lightening i think in cape may but by 8 00 oclock we are seeing more mix in philadelphia. It continues to snow, pile up in the Lehigh Valley and that is why we have high accumulations. And then by noon or 1 00 we are starting to see things taper off a little bit. We will see some left overs in the next couple of hours but it wont be that heavy, continuing snow, as the snow, storm pull as way. It drawness some cold air so everybody will finish off with a little bit of snow and then by 7 00 oclock we are finished with that round of snow. We could see a couple of flurries tomorrow. We have high wind warning down to the south, and we have the blizzard warning up to our north and a big mess in between. Just stay safe, warm and stay with us here good day philadelphia will be right back in just a moment. Honey nut cheerios gets their delicious taste from honest ingredients.
