There is rain to the north of us there is frontal system is going to be edging into our area, but not until the overnight hours tonight. We will show you next time in the future cast. Look at these temperatures, the normal High Temperature for march the tenth is 50 degrees, were at 58 at 4 00 in the morning, 59 mount pocono, 61 right now in reading, 62 atlantic city, 61 in dover, 58 in wilmington. So, these are temperatures that are much milder than they were yesterday, obviously, 9 degrees milder in philadelphia, 18 degrees warmer in trenton, and 19 degrees warmer than 24 hours ago in millville. So, yes, you might even be able to ditch the jacket today, with a 7mile per hour breeze, out of the southwest, we expect that warm air to stay here for another day. The vine expressway closed from the schuylkill expressway over to broad street. So, if you are coming in off of 95, into center city, youll be forced off at broad. If you are coming in on the schuylkill, you will be forced off at either Spring Garden or at 30th street. So few extra minutes added to the morning commute. Otherwise, the benny looking good. No problems at all up and over into downtown philadelphia, all of the bridges looking good, some left over road crews out along the 30 bypass, in downingtown, right at route 82, down to one lane. Later on today, theyre going to be working on the schuylkill expressway, heads up this one, westbound, between south philly, and center city. The stretch between university and south street, down to one lane, beginning at around 9 00 today. And then, some new ramp closures in effect if you come over the betsy ross into philadelphia, that richmond street ramp closed for the next six weeks, otherwise, mass transit, the market frankford and the subway using buses until 5 00 but looking good on mass transit and the airport. And then it happened tonight. And they didnt have too long after he said that. So you heard them say they got out the front door. Look at the house nextdoor, they all have porches here, so the front door three, 4 feet off the ground, thats where the air pocket is, you see clothes, you see little opening there. This is a miracle, because the back of the house completely caved in. Come on over here, we will show you on this side of the house, as women. So you can see all the way back to the back alley is collapsed. So these people were sleeping in a air pocket and escaped through an air pocket somehow. Look at the white chevy. Look at all of the bricks in the front that far now on the street where a car would park normally. And it probably looks even worse from behind. Weve got the Fire Department here, Police Department here, and it looks like peco and maybe the gas works here just to make sure all is okay on the utility front. But this is a miracle house, probably doesnt look that way to you, but when you realize no one has a scratch on them, and they were sleeping in there at 1 30 whether this came crashing down thats why i am calling it a miracle house. Authority say four women, one man, among the dead. Other victim in the hospital in Critical Condition this morning, all were killed during a Backyard Party out in the suburbs. Police say at least two gunmen barged into the party and started shooting into the group. At this hour, there is no word on the motive. We will continue to update this story as more information comes into our news room. And more breaking news back here at home, Police Looking for the driver who hit cop karat around 3 30 this morning in the juniata section of northeast philadelphia. Several police cars here. The vehicle that was struck in this case couldnt quite make it out here. But this is still a very active scene, as you can see. We understand that two officers have been transported to frankford south. No condition at this time. These officers were in this vehicle when it was struck, when it was rearended, police are looking for the driver at this time. Now, the injuries to the officers appear to be minor, we are told. This happened by the way at g and erie where we are right now, in the juniata section of philadelphia. Again, the officers, two officers, were inside the Police Cruiser, when it was struck by another car. Police are looking for that driver, the two officers were transported. Very active scene there, dave gathering more information, and of course well get that figured out and pass it along, thanks, dave. 4 09 this morning the the man who admit today police he ambushed Philadelphia Police officer Jesse Hartnett is due in court this morning. Edward archer is accused of shooting at officer hartnett three times back in january while he, hartnett, was out on patrol. Archer said he shot hartnett in the name of islam. Hartnett survived that soothing shooting, and survived in the hospital. Four will the continued last night, one night after philadelphia saw six murders, now, talking about all of that violence, police say, at 40th and green, in mantua, 25 year old shot in the head and a teenager shot in the knee and hand. Let me step away, Unmarked Police car, that crashed here, into the cocacola building here as you can see, an Unmarked Police car headed westbound on erie when it was hit from the rear, police say that unmark car was hit by another vehicle, hit a park car, and then. To leg, neck and back, both officers, police say, the striking vehicle went westbound on erie, cops say it is a dark colored vehicle with heavy front end damage, we do not have more specific description that far vehicle, as of yet. Now, there are several cameras here, on the cocacola complex, that police are going to try to grab video from, to get better look at that car. Again, two officers taken to the hospital after being rearended as they were moving there is car moving, on regular patrol when all of this took place. The officers lost control of their unmark car, crashed into the wall right there. So this obviously still a very active scene some sort of imagery to take a look at the striking vehicle and figure out exactly what casino after car it is, and where it was going, and how all of this happened. Since it involved some Philadelphia Police officers. The west trenton line, already, some signal problems this morning. Dave kinchen is live there on the scene with the details, hi, dave. Reporter good morning, new information, in the last 20 minute or so. Let me step out of the way. There is the unmark police car with the headlight on it. This is the cocacola, i believe shall bottling facility here, at g and erie, so thats where the unmark car is, where it came to rest, where the officers were inside. They were rearended, those officers, minor injuries to the leg, neck and back, and thats how Police Describe it, the injuries here. Now, we are told this all happened when these officers were in the moving vehicle, and they were hit from the rear, the officers lost control, hit parked car, then struck the wall of the cocacola facility there. The officers got out of the car, they were transported to frankford south, with injuries to their leg, legs, neck and back, they were plane clothes officers part of the Philadelphia PoliceTactical Team which basically means they assist on routine patrols. Were told this was just regular patrol. Theyre from the 24th district, police say that striking car went westbound on erie, kept going. At this point police say it is a dark colored vehicle with heavy damage to the front ends. They dont have an exact description of the vehicle yet. Of course, with a facility like this, cocacola plant, a loft surveillance cameras, police plant the cameras to get video and get better look annex act description that far striking car, but again, two officers inside, they lost control of their vehicle, once they were hit. They hit park car, and then landed on the wall right therement minor injuries to their legs, neck and back. We dont know much more about the officers, how long theyve been on the force, that sort of thing, we know if he 24th district plane clothes officers on apparently regular patrol. That is the latest here, as Police Continue to try to get more information on the striking vehicle, as it comes, becomes available, with police still on a very active scene here, we will bring you that information once we get it. Timing of the front is for late tonight, probably, about midnight, we start to see the rain north of the city, move through about 3 00, 4 00 in the morning, in the city, widely scattered showers, not really any heavy downpours expected with this, and it is not the strongest cold front weve ever seen come through the area but it will take temperatures away from the 80s, and give us highs in the 60s for couple of days, which is still above average.
