The center right now is filled with kids, parents are showing up to try to pick up their children who have been there some for most of the day. Parents were told students here were told us attending a dance class and one of the todays rooms in there. They had to huddle in a closet and doors were locked. They stayed in there for at least a half hour. We just spoke with some of those frantic parents a couple minutes ago. Its real sad on a day like today the kids are off of school. They should be able to come to a local Community Center and enjoy themselves. They were doing what they were supposed to do. Where are our children safe . C. That snow will continue to head in our direction and it will pick up as we go hour by hour by 9 00 10 00 oclock looking at snow in dover. Moving toward wilmington as well as philadelphia. Especially after 9 00, 10 00 oclock and then after midnight pretty much area wide were looking at that snow but look at the intensity where you see those darker shades of purple and blue. That is where that heavy snow will hit especially Dover Millville moving toward cape may as well as atlantic city. It will continue overnight and early tomorrow morning. So were looking at dangerous slick roadways out there and i do anticipate delays and cancel laying. I95 wilmington, philadelphia trenton three to 6inches and hire amounts kent county, cumberland county, Atlantic County and also cape may county. So around philadelphia were looking at that snowfall moving in toward nine, 10 00 oclock temperatures in the teens. West virginia Richmond Virginia will likely see close to a foot of snow but this activity is crossing the Chesapeake Bay area as we speak and it will be moving into delaware first. Snowing already toward the nations capitol and you can see some of those flurries trying to move into sussex county, delaware, thats likely where the bulls eye for our area will be. As we move into central southern sections of delaware as well as cape may county. So by 8 00 oclock were looking at that snowfall moving toward dover as well as cape may. Moving into south jersey by nine 10 00 oclock. Trying to approach the philadelphia area and then after midnight were looking at pretty good coverage across the area. South and east you can see those darker shades thats where that heavy snow will really start to set up by 3 00 a. M. When youre watching the fox 29 morning news we go on an hour early were looking at snow pretty much area wide but you can see toward lehigh valley, the poconos were looking at lesser amounts of snow but we still have that heavier band down the shore into south jersey and central travel and southern sections of delaware. By 7 00 oclock still looking at that snowfall across the area. By minute, 10, 11 00 oclock it starts to taper off but were still looking that snow in south jersey. So heres the break down. Lehigh valley poconos, one to 3inches. A wilmington philadelphia trenton were looking at about three to 6inches as you move into extreme south jersey, central southern sections of delaware easily over 6inches of snow so for the philadelphia area heres the hour by hour break down. You can see three to 5inches temperatures not a problem. But because its going to be so cold were looking at that powdery fluffy snow. So youll likely be able to use a broom to clear your stoop but some locations, of course, it is going to be that plowable snow but three to 5inches in philadelphia. What about wilmington . Head further south were looking at about four to 6inches of snowfall there. Reporter according to documents, a Police Officer pushed bailey in her mercedes to a nearby Dunkin Donuts to get her off this busy highway. Her mechanic found she bought tainted gas at that gulf. He pumped it out saving some of it which bailey hauled back to the gas station. Bailey is one of several motorists who contacted fox 29 investigates after we revealed last month that rebecca rue wiz and fred dough sanchez both got bad gas from the gulf on january 3rd. The station operator said a faulty cap on a tank was to blame. He says it was repaired. The county sent in an inspector after we raised questions who found a low octane reading and another problem. The station was slapped with a 2,700 fine its third violation since 2011. I was shocked. You know, this is the first time that ive ever gotten bad gas. Reporter glenn contacted fox 29 to say he, too topped off at the gulf late on the afternoon of january 3rd. 800 bucks in repairs later and the tainted gas was finally cleared from his toyota.
