That is not too far from where i reside. Its about an hour, hour and a half. Reporter her grandmother says she used to live with her in maryland and was given a hard time by aggressive boyfriend who had request explicit photos from her and even asked about her after she moved to philadelphia. I wasnt too easy going on giving him any information about carlesha because to me he just always looked suspicious to me. Reporter police cannot say if he was involved. Investigators are looking at Surveillance Video at the bank where her card was used comparing it with the abduction video. So far its similar but its hard to tell at this point. Were looking into that. Reporter police also reviewed unreleased audio from the kidnapping scene where shes screaming for help but police say the audio does not suggest a specific attacker. But detectives no longer think the attack was random and are now work wig the fbi. Our goal is the safe return of carlesha to her family and friends. This and the Fbi Violent Crimes Task force is aggressively working hand in hand with our partners in Philadelphia Police department to make sure that shes returned. Reporter i dont have anything. The Maryland State Police also involved in the investigation. Lucy and iain. All right, thank you very much, dave. Less than three hours to go to cast your vote in the mid term elections. We begin in pennsylvania where the governors race will make history tonight no matter what happens. Republican inn dumb bant tom corbett wants another four years in office and if successful would make historic come back after trailing significantly in the polls. Democratic challenger tom wolf trying to make corbett the first governor in modern pennsylvania political history to lose a reelection. We have Live Team Coverage for you tonight. Bruce gordon is with the Corbett Campaign in pittsburgh and jeff cole is with the Wolf Campaign in new york. Lets begin with jeff. Jeff, weve seen this gap between the two candidates narrow in recent weeks. Reporter certainly have seen it narrow. Only because i think that the gap was so large at one point. Well over some 20 points. Its narrowed but at least according to the latest franklin and marshall poll which is a very well thought of poll in the commonwealth of pennsylvania, the lead is still 13 which is quiet startling for a democrat, for going against an incumbent like this lets take a look at pictures capping a very long day of campaigning. Mostly in the philadelphia area democratic candidate for Governor Tom Wolf voted at mount wolf in york county this afternoon. His hometown polling place. Ride ago 13point lead in the polls over what an apparent and up pour lar incumbent tom corbett. Wolf has led this race the entire way. Sometimes by very large margins. Certainly the race has tighten but stands at about 11 to 13 points tonight. Wolf after voting said to reporters that hes ready to lead. I will, you know, get to work as quickly as possible in terms of figuring out what i need to do specifically to get pennsylvania to the place i want it to be. I think i tried to present a positive message about what pennsylvania could be. Im proud of being a pennsylvanian and i think there are lot people who think we can do better. Reporter and that has been much of his message throughout this campaign. He certainly criticized governor corbett for cutting cool funding that is criticism that seems to have stuck with corbett and has laid on him like a mill stone throughout this campaign. Hes talked about the lack of attacks on extraction for fracking out there for those Industries Working along the marcella shale. So tom wolf comes into this thing with a lead tonight. Democrats have to be happy. Certainly voter turnout will be important and certainly it will be important in philadelphia. Live in york, im jeff cole, folks, back to you. Fox 29s bruce gordon love at governor tom corbetts headquarters in pittsburgh tonight. Bruce are whats the mood there . Reporter iain, a as you might expect outward signs of optimism but i have to tell you well give you this analogy. Lets put it this way. Were in the middle of football season and this is steelers country. The corbett camp is down by a touchdown with just a couple of seconds to go. They need a 60yard bomb from Ben Roethlisberger and a twopoint conversion to boot to pull this one out. In short, they need a miracle. Governor capped his final campaign weekend with a bucks county rally beside new jersey governor chris christie. Part of Late Campaign blitz designed to make up ground. Corbett trails badly in all of the pre election polling but in these final weeks, some republicans appear to have come home so to speak. Incumbent governor cast his ballot this morning and showed predictable optimism as he describe the Late Campaign efforts and he took a final shot at his challenger. I feel good. I feel good. We got rested last night. We had a long day yesterday. We hit seven cities. Between 7 00 oclock in the morning and 8 00 oclock last night. Flying all over pennsylvania. Got to talk to our supporter su. There was a rally at each one to get them out and have them make phone calls today and knock on doors and also help people get to the polls. Theyll be working the polls today, too. Its all about taxes. If you want your taxes increase vote for the other guy. If you want somebody who try and control your taxes, vote for meche thats as simple as it gets, isnt it . Reporter that claim that tom wolf will raise taxes on middle income pennsylvanians has of course been hotly disputed by the Wolf Campaign. More importantly, it does not appear to have move the needle in terms of polling. Iain . All right, bruce, thank you. I was excited i could do a peanut and butter jelly at that age. Back to your fox 29 Weather Authority now. 71 degrees. That was the High Temperature today for november 4th. So it was a beautiful and dry election day and if you liked today i think youll like tomorrow temperatures will once again stay above average. It was 49 degrees this morning. But 71 that was the high. 11 degrees above average. But 10 degrees all from the the record high from todays date. 81 degrees set back in 1974. As we look at those temperatures right now, still pretty comfortable if youre stepping outdoors. Upper 50s in wildwood. Mid 60s right now in pottstown and low 60s in allentown toward the lehigh valley. High pressure has been in control but it continues to move a little farther off to the east. But in the time being those winds are out of the south and west keeping those temperatures above average. Heres the front off to the west. That will eventually bring us some rainfall as we move toward the latter part of the week. So timing everything out tomorrow, we stay dry, but more clouds around tomorrow. But still out ahead of that front well keep those temperatures above average in the mid to even upper 60s. Wednesday night, still dry but look to the west. Were watching that system an area of low pressure. It will move toward our area. So thursday morning, were looking at those showers arriving so likely a wet commute on and off again showers. Some of the rain could be heavy at times. Heres midday on thursday and then as we approach thursday night, most of the heavy rain moves offshore then a secondary front that will move through to usher in blustery and cooler air as we move toward your friday but how much rainfall to expect out of that system thursday. Likely up to an inch of rainfall along the i95 corridor. Lesser amounts once you move town the shore as well as north and west. So the bottom line, were looking at wednesday, mild and pleasant similar to today. A few more clouds around and then for thursday, thats when the damp and dreary scenario will arrive with up to an inch of rainfall. Then friday, clearing skies. Turning blustery and much colder behind that system. Before tonight, not as chilly. 46 degrees in the suburbs. Low 50s in the city. Above average temperatures again tomorrow. By about 5 degrees. Well call it 66. Partly sunny, a few more clouds moving in. But that rain should hold off until thursday morning. Thursdays high 60 degrees so its not really going to be a chilly rain per se and then as we move toward friday, much cooler 54 for the high and then the fall chill really settles in for the weekend. 50 for the high on saturday. Low 50s on sunday. Perhaps a few scattered showers for the light the night walk as well as the alzheimers walk on sunday. Ill bring an umbrella. Its all good. Rain is good for you. Yeah. Plants love it. Thanks, scott. Trying to be optimistic, howard. Okay. Dont rain on monday night. Oh, yeah. I dont mean the cold. Im good, im ready the flyers are back home tonight. Thats a cold sport, too. Actually its the first of four straight home games for the flyers. Now, theyre coming home it helps after a twogame losing streak much fans still wonder what kind of flyers team we have here in philadelphia. Another question is with the number one goaltender. That would be steve mason. He has not been sharp this season and has yet to win. Hes zerofive with one of those an overtime loss. He is starting in goal tonight against edmonton. Mason knows how important this next stretch is. Its important any time youre at home and you have a success of games in a row you have to take advantage of it. Youre not going to win every single game of the year but when you have this type of, you know, month overall november were home a lot you have to take advantage of it for the standings purposes. Yes, you do. Eagles have to find a way to move on from injuries to nick foles, sanchez will start. Demeco ryans thats a tough one and todd harremins for the game on monday night against carolina and thats at linc. Evan mathis will be back. Eagles are sixpoint favorites. Tony romo did not play last week for the cowboys with two fractures in his back. However the owner is pulling romo along to london for their game in london on sunday. But hes the only player there in first class. Thats nice for the owner. For the game on sunday. Hes got a man crush on him. Sunday line up fox 29 game day live starts at 11 00 followed by nnfl sunday at noon our double header, romo and the cowboys versus jaguars from london at 1 00 followed by the giants and seahawks at 4 25. Temples Football Team coming off a big win saturday at home against North Carolina and they go into another big game memphis on friday night here. Theyre going into this game the head coach is a happy guy. In it time you go to young people and ask them to do things that are really hard you like to have evidence to support what youre doing. Theyre kind of going on faith and theres a little bit of evidence and it shows were trending upward, right. War certainly better than we were last year just trying to get the mind set right of everybody much its not this thing out there. You dont have to figure out what you just have to do the work hard don the same thing every day and youll win a lot of games. Turn back the clocks. Lets back back to 1985. It was april 1st. I remember it like it was yesterday. Villanova won the inform caa tournament. They were the champion and went into the tournament actually with a loss. It was so improbable the final win against those tough guys at georgetown. Patrick ewing the head coach John Thompson most people said nova had no chance. Yet they won. Tonight at nova they will set brought that championship with their their coach massimino still coaching a week away from his 80th birthday. Celebration actually started at dinner last night. They presented me with a picture of my famous quotes not famous quotes but my quotes that ive used over the years. Interesting part they asked me to ask our team at north wood what my quotes to them are, and its amazing that they named at least 10 out of the 20 or 25 that were on the board. I can tell you from covering that team, there were some quotes they couldnt put on that board. Rolly was a fiery guy. Kind of like mr. Eskin. No. Not me.
