That district in allentown hoping to stop drivers from whizzing past buses when the kids are getting off. School officials are buying new technology to get those drivers on tape. The incident recorded on a camera inside her bus. Its something that unfortunately happens more often than not. Reporter cars just whizzing by school buses that have their blinking lights on and stop signs out with no regard for the children getting on and off the buses. I think many times people are trying to beat the bus essentially like you would beat a red light. And theyre not stopping for the school buses. Reporter Parkland School district has cameras inside all its buses. But is now going one step further to catch these culprits. Its installing an additional three dozen cameras on the outside on the stop arms of its buses. That bring the total to 50 buses with the hightech surveillance systems.
