Reporter inside a store filled with people shoppers suddenly heard shots fired and not knowing where they were coming from. I heard some kind of banking and i heard allowed, like, fighting and i thought maybe somebody was fighting in the store. Here they said there was a fight outside with two guys. One of them pulled out gun and shot him. Reporter at first police got reports the shots came from inside the store. Later determine it was just outside the entryway. There was some indication from some other witnesses that there were three to five males outside target who were initially fighting. One of those males actually discharged his weapon five times, and he chill actually esd in red hyundai sonato. Reporter three to five males began fighting and one pulled a gun and opened fire. One person was shot in the back. Its not clear at this point if that person was involved in the fight but the victim was carrying a weapon that was licensed. He was taken to aria torresdale top with nonlife threatening injuries. The shooter took off as customers were told to shelter in place. Those outside told to run. When i was walking, the cop said run, lady, run reporter certainly a chaotic scene again they are now looking for that red Hyundai Sonata model 2009 to 2014. As far as the suspect goes, not much of a description here. Black male 5foot seven to 5foot nine he was apparently wearing a black shirt with white emblem as well as gold chain and blue jeans at the time the search goes on for him. According to those reports, shots were fired at a police officer. An officer discharged his weapon. One person is hurt. So far no cops were injured. Caught on camera a trip to chinese takeout restaurant turns violent. Tonight the search is on for two men who attacked someone as they were just waiting for their food now police are hoping someone recognizes the men involved. Fox 29s Sabina Kuriakose reports from northwest detectives. Report roar police say these were two violent criminals who turned something as routine as ordering chinese take out into a brutal assault. Two men like that. Restaurant owner peter lu was just about done cooking up a late night order when his customer was viciously attacked and robbed. They take the money out and put some money on the counter. Reporter Surveillance Video shows two men walking into the new would know house Chinese Restaurant on north broad around quarter to 1 00 thursday morning. The man with the backpack reaches for the customers wallet they struggle and the victim is struck in the face. Adding insult to injury, police say the other suspect grabs the cash off the counter and takes off. I feel so bad. Based on the time, you know, a lot of these crimes are crimes of tune. Reporter Police Captain maliki jones says although the suspects didnt use a weapon they still violently assaulted the 62yearold victim and may even have been lying in wait for a potential target. They believe he was driving the newer model white Jeep Wrangler near 13th and race about 3 30 sunday morning much the car struck and killed 53yearold ann brodrick who was crossing the street at the time. Police say the driver didnt stop. But apparently stayed around town. That Jeep Wrangler was seen last eastbound on race. It did stay in center city after the accident for a long period of time. It was seen driving around throughout center city. This jeep had very distinct fenders. Hit black fenders. Things are cooling down quickly as that rain does start to move through. Weve got a warm front off to the south of us. Thats going to lift north and were going to see intermittent showers maybe even some thunderstorms through the overnight. Then as we head into saturday night, this cold front will sweep through. Its going bring another round of rape chances but once it does move through, were done with the rain as we head into our sunday and you can see that on your future cast. Here we have those shower chances because becoming more scattered through out the region as we head into about midnight.
