I can tell you that a man came up to me and told me that he not only witnessed the fire but went up to the door, got kick the door open, got inside and was able to wake up a person in one of the apartments and bring them to safety. We havent had a chance to get the latest information from fire crews. Theyre still as you can see working the scene right here. Well come back live at some point but we want to tell you that this obviously this part of main street is shut down and will be for some time as crews continue to work on this blaze and deal with some hot spots. Its not clear if there were any transports we had one person again tell us that they helped wake someone up who was inside. But fire crews have not been able to say whether theyve transported anyone. Beautiful shot as we looked out towards wildwood a seabreeze picked up this afternoon allowed the temperatures at one point in wildwood to go from 85 degrees down to 74 degrees. Heres a shot as we look out towards old city its 87 degre 87 degrees. Southwestern wind at 12 this is a very important metric in the weather department. Southwest wind has been keeping it refreshing however when thats wind switches out of the south direction when we go into tomorrow and monday, thats when well introduce the 80 of more humidity. 88 in philadelphia. North and west of town its into the 80s mount pocono had a thunderstorm earlier at 76 degrees. And down across the boardwalk 8. Theres a lone shower and thunderstorms right around jim thorpe its the only storm we see on ultimate doppler. Investigators are looking for a Toyota Highlander and its got some tinderred windows. It happened along the 1,000 block of alcott street just after 2 00 this afternoon. Now to philadelphias lawn crest neighborhood where police are searching for the person who stabbed three people this morning. It happened around 3 00 a. M. On the 600 block of mayfair street. Police say they found the three men stabbed several times. They were rushed to einstein medical center. They are all in stable condition tonight. No word yet on any suspects. Forcing her two teen Children Home alone at the time to take cover. They were sitting on the couch and they both darted behind a wall to protect themselves. Your daughter and your son. Correct report roar Sheriffs Office tells us after the women drove away she went to his nearby waffle house, called 911, and surrendered herself and the gun she used at the home. Probably still in some shock. Maybe probably some denial but i know theres evidence right there and when i see it Sheriffs Officer identified the woman as 36yearold lindsay wells of decatur. Miss king says investigators told her wells came to her home thinking it was her cousins house after reading tarot cards and practicing witchcraft. She thought her cousin lived here and that she was doing some witchcraft tarot card reading, and was going to come here to kill her. The cousin. The cousin. Reporter Police Report says wells told deputies she was suicidal and had mental dissables when arrested at the waffle house. After being evaluated she was taken to the jail. Glad she confessed. I think shes just needs some help. Um, medically and stuff like that. Just for Mental Illness maybe. Wells is now facing two charges of aggravated assault with a firearm and arson. Police say a woman was crossing the street on a red light. She was again the light when she was hit. The driver of the car was tested and police say she was not drinking. That driver will not face any charges. Well its a dark moment in our areas history. 57 irish immigrant workers all died. Cholera was what people believed caused it. Then historians found out that cholera had nothing to do with it. Instead they died in a massacre. A local professor told our Bill Anderson that he wants to tell the true story of what happened to those immigrants at duffys cut. 1832 the biggest industrial ever den in pennsylvania the philadelphia columbian railroad. Nearly 200 years ago 57 irish rail workers came to this mainline site looking for work and filled with hope. The story is that cholera broke out in the philadelphia area around the time of their arrival. By the end of the summer they were all dead. Reporter all 57 irish immigrants working at the site called duffys cut after the contractor who hired them were thrown into a mass grave and virtually forgotten. They were bones in here in the top of this tree stump. Reporter until historian dr. William watson who i met today at duffys cut discover the truth. This land actually at the time was owned by the family that ran the east Whiteland Horse Company which was the local vigilante group. And like the perfect crime. Reporter the times were strongly anti irish. It was routine to be exploited attacked and beaten and dr. Watson believes thats what happened to many of the 57 workers. They were foreigners, they were irish catholics, probably gaelic speakers and, you know, it was just the easiest thing in the world to couldnt taint epidemic and get rid avenue group they didnt want out here in their midst. Reporter so murder . Murder. Reporter proudly stating their irish heritage, dr. Watson and others now dedicate large parts of their lives to finding the remains of those who tragically had theirs taken. And it pisses me off that this happened here. So for the overnight hours, temperatures only getting down into the 70s. 60s along the Atlantic City boardwalk and then by tomorrow morning, this launching pad into the 70s gets us right into the 90s for tomorrow afternoon. So well call it a pre summer sizzle area of High Pressure down to the south that bring in the heat and then the humidity starts to crank by monday. Reporter when the mother finally brought them to a local hospital the sheriff says she made up a story about the kids collapsing at a lake. They thought maybe they got into something poisonous. Reporter a story that quick unraveled as the girls conditions grew worse. They were moved to San Antonio Hospital but 22 too late. They both passed away yesterday afternoon. Their mother now behind bars. I think she even pretty well admitted to what happened. Reporter tragedy thats rocked the lakeside street where the young family was staying.
