Reporter we can tell you that administrators had the sense that students probably would not be crazy about this policy, but many of them were not expectin expecting a petitid online. Every girl loves their dress. And once you send the picture you still have to wait for, um, wait for approval that dress could be gone. Reporter its one of many reasons why this senior does not like the prom dress approval system at Archbishop Ryan High School in northeast philadelph philadelphia. Administrators are asking girls to email in pictures of their dresses so they could be okayed for the big dance. You shouldnt have to send pictures n its kind of weird. Reporter this is her dress. She says it was approved but calls the system unfair. We took a look at the archbishop ryan dress code posted online which says dress which is not be cropped below the bust line showing stomach. There can be no midriff exposure for both the front and sides and the slit cannot exceed 3inches above the knee. I think that girls should be allowed to at least show on the sides a little bit. Not like the whole entire stomach its not like were walking in like belly dancers. Juniors and seniors fired back with this petition on change. Org ripping the policy as sexist also calling it degrading and unfair. It has almost 700 supporters so far. The boys have a take on the rules, too.
