A Haddon TownshipPolice Officer shot a man during a traffic stop. Good evening, im dawn timmeney. Im joyce evans. That man did survive but now investigators are trying to peace together exactly what happened during the encounter. Lets head on out to brad sattin live at the scene in Haddon Township. Brad . Reporter joyce as you mentioned this indeed was Police Involved shooting. Lets set the scene. Route 130 is actually behind me to my left. That is where the stop was supposed to happen but the driver apparently kept on going went around the curve here to alabama road and hit this car you see parked here. It is the only car still at the scene. Now, lets show you some pictures from earlier when this played out around 9 45 this morning. Haddon Township Police saying an officer tried to stop that vehicle on route 130 as the officer tried to identify the driver, the driver then fled in his vehicle. But again didnt go very far. Crashing into a the parked car. It was pushed to the side of the road and then a second car was also hit. There was a brief struggle between the officer and the driver and at that point thats when the driver was shot. Now, a neighbor did shoot some cell phone video as the suspect was being attended to. Ambulance arrived. He was shot in the lower extremity taken to cooper medical center. As we mentioned he has since been released. When i opened up the front door i seen a guy on the stretcher. My uncle said he had heard one shot. And there was a bunch of cops, everything was taped up. A lot of cops outside. They had somebody retain on the ground here. Um, looked like they was giving him medical attention. Sounded like braids, collision, thats all im thinking its a car crash. Unfortunately it was our car. The driver it turns out was wanted for outstanding warrant thats all we know at this point, but the Camden County prosecutor has now stepped in to investigate.
