New Jersey State Police have confirm state trooper has do you do in a car crash in quinton township. Trooper eli mccarson was on duty responding to a domestic dispute this morning. When he somehow drove off the road and hit a power pole along route 49. The crash is under investigati investigation. Trooper mccarson was 30 years old and was working out of the woodstown station. The philadelphia daycare where baby became unresponsive and later died yesterday has been closed all day today. And now we have breaking news. State investigators have just taken action. They are shutting down while they investigate the suspicious death of the 10 month old baby. Fox 29s karen hepp joins us in the newsroom. Karen. Lucy this all just happened within the last couple of minutes. I got release from the state department of Human Services issuing this emergency removal at the sister child care which is the name of it. Which means they will be immediately closing that facility to help ensure the safety of the children in its care. The department is going to attempt to contact each of the parents and family members and will be there tomorrow morning to ensure the families are a aware of the closure and assist them in finding now care. Sisters daycare is closed today. Padlocked shut after the tragic death of a baby girl in the Sister Center cares. 10 month old lost her life yesterday afternoon even though temple hospital was only footsteps away. She could not be saved. So what happened . The special victims unit is investigating and the babys cause of death is still penning. We do know the center has a history of problems. Late this afternoon, the Pennsylvania Department of Human Services who checks on Daycare Centers put out this statement. Our heart goss out to the family on this profound loss and our thoughts are with them. The department is currently investigating this very serious incident to determine the appropriate next steps. In july, they found numerous issues. Workers who were not properly trained, supervised or background checked. Caring for way too many childr children. So many they didnt even know the names of the children in their care and one worker was yelling at the kids right in front of the inspector. Months later, sisters was reexamined and five issues were corrected and there were plans to correct 19 more. Yesterday something terrible happened. And the daycare provider needed to perform that cpr on that tiny baby. Police say it was her uncle who happened to come upon this horrific situation and race that little girl himself to the hospital where tragically she passed away. So we have learned that the center was operating with only a provisional certificate from the state.
