Tonight two teenagers charged with murdering another young teen seem simply out for bike ride. Saleem west was riding his bike on sunday afternoon novembe november 1st with a 15yearold friend when police say he was ambushed and shot to death. It happened in the Strawberry Mansion section of philadelphia. Well today a 17yearold Raheem Feaster and Tyree Johnson were charged as adults for his murder. Police say the motive was teenaged rivalry. My life will never be the same ever. He was my only child. He was my life. He was why i did what i did. It killed my heart. It killed our spirits. Saleem was special. We cant have continue to have teenagers with weapons killing other teens. Saleem was a junior at Delaware Valley charter where he loved sports and his family had big dreams for him. His family is begging the community to stop the violence. Since then, the transgender womans body remained unclaimed and unburied but now flourtown monsignor james saint george was inspired by a newspaper article and will allow for diamond to be funeral arrived and buried tomorrow. Monsignor saint george and the saint miriam parish in flourtown will assume all costs for the service and burial. The monsignor recognizes that some may question the decision. He even acknowledged that theyve lost at least one and maybe more parishioners but he feels like allowing people the chance to mourn diamond williams is the right thing to do. This woman was a human being. I read a quote from one of her friends online. I believe her name was rose and she said, she used to laugh with diamond. All in memory of philadelphia firefighter joyce craig. Craig died while fighting a fire last december. Mayor michael nutter, fire commissioner derek sawyer and other city leaders gathering outside that firehouse today for a dedication. Craig is the first female firefighter to die in the line of duty in the history of the philadelphia fire department. If we do our duty half as well as lieutenant joyce craig, we will have lived a good life. Long live the memory of lieutenant joyce craig. Craig was 36yearold and an 11 year veteran of the department. Long enough though for what boy yet calls an epiphany he watch it from the mission that night. It hit me that, hey, youre homeless. You have to improve yourself. I said i got to change. It was just something that came over me. Have i to change. I came straight to the airport the next week. Landed a job as a sky cap. A job he proudly held for more than a decade. These days hes often back at the airport driving folks to meet their planes both here and at airports throughout the region. Part of his job with the local Concierge Company live prief. C prief. Com.
