But theres politics here, too. I think its too often forgotten mlk was extremely radical figure. This march built on unity with people various walks of life wee claiming mlk. With tensions still high after the Police Involved deaths of eric garner and my brown. The murder of mike brown was a carbon copy of unarmed black americans at the hands of Law Enforcement in this country. Some call it the mark of a new civil rights era. We talk about justice for every single person. We believe in the strong message the the dr. King that injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere. They cleaned and painted around the School Including the music room. South philly high has noted musical alumni Marion Anderson and mario alonzo. The school does not have a Music Program plans are in the works to bring it on back. At its heart Martin Luther king is about service to others. Our bruce gordon spent this day at philadelphias Girard College with volunteers honoring kings legacy. If i didnt know the armory at Girard College was host something kind of indoor childrens picnic. Take a closer look. This wasnt all fun and games. Instead hundreds of volunteers from all over the region were putting their day off work or school to good use. Helping others. They were knitting hats and scarves, folks living in shelter shelters. Their work seemed to give them a warm feeling. Put a smile on somebodys face. Show other people that are less fortunate somebody else does care. Not far away these Sorority Members were brighting letters to military families. Active and tired parents and kids the idea it was let them know their service 365 days a year is not forgotten. It might be something nice, something to pick them up. Something they dont expect. You know, you can get a phone call but sometimes its nice to sit down and read a complete stranger really appreciates all that youre offering. Reporter relaxing sunday at bonita park brought to a halt after a discovery of more razor belauds planned in the grass grass near a play ground. Thats really evil. Officers closed the area for two hours. They searched through sanding grass with metal detectors. They found at least five blades in the grass and another in a receptacle. No theres no chance they are leftovers. They appear to be have been placed there within the last 24 hours. It originates from canada and once again its a fast mover but it doesnt have a lot of moisture to work with but we are anticipateing its rifle toward wednesday Late Afternoon and evening continuing into early on thursday right now it looks like the timing but where you see this blue, the light blue, thats accumulateing snowfall and that does include sections of south jersey. The i95 corridor as well as points north and west. But it look like north and west well see higher amounts of snowfall expected. But for tonight we stay dry. We stay cold, and quiet. There could still be a few patchy slick spots of ice on the roadways so just watch out for that. Tomorrow similar to today. Its going to be mixture of sun and clouds across the area. With high temperatures topping out in the low 40s and then lets roll the clock ahead to wednesday. Thats the day that well be watching that clipper approach our area. But it looks like wednesday mornings commute its going to be dry and quiet. Into wednesday afternoon. It looks okay. But wednesday evening were going to be watching that moisture approach the area. Where you see the green, that is the rainfall south jersey, central southern sections of delaware. But right along i95, that will likely be that transition zone from the rain into the frozen precipitation. Heres wednesday night north and west. Youre looking at some of that rain changing over to snowfall toward Lehigh Valley and the poconos. And it could linger into early thursday morning. So wednesday night if youre stepping outdoors, its going to be kind of slick and icy and dicey and as well as thursday morning right now with the timing of that system. So how much snowfall is expected . Of course, lesser amounts once you move into extreme southern sections of south jersey as well as delaware delaware. A possible coating but mainly rainfall here. But where you see that light blue were talking a couple to maybe several inches of snowfall likely. One to 3inches on average out of this system as once again its not expected to have whole lot of moisture or pick up a whole lot of moisture either. So for tonight were below freezing partly cloudy, dry and cold. Tomorrow, partly cloudy, its dry, its quiet. Similar to today with high temperatures topping out in the low 40s. Thats actually a few degrees above the average for this time of year which is 40 degrees. So as we take look at the next several days, with the seven day forecast that wintry mix with the clipper once again it look like afternoon and evening into early thursday, thats the timing. Temperatures will be kind of borderline but keep in mine the ground is cold. The concrete is cold. So anything that falls on to those untreated roadways will likely ice up again. Its cloudy and chilly for thursday. Temperatures top out in the upper 30s. We keep mid 30s sunny and dry as we move toward friday the upcoming week and right now looks dry and seasonal.
