Reporter lucy, that injured trooper is 31yearold Patrick Casey. He is in Good Condition here at hahnemann and were toldness good spirits. He does have a bullet lodged in his left shoulder. Doctors deciding not to remove it at this point. Now hes been stationed out of troop k for the last seven years in belmont and tonight hes one very lucky man after being repeatedly fired at by a 17yearold driver trying to escape arrest. It was like pop like they say on the movies, pop, pop, pop, pop, pop, it was like 10 or 15 and then it stopped. Reporter Barbara Larkin describing the gunshots she heard right outside her apartment window this morning when she raced down to the street between 21st and twenty twond she saw the chaotic scene unfolding blow on eastbound route 676. When i came up on it i saw the police with their guns out and the suspect standing next a car and they were telling him to lay down and he wasnt doing it so they were inching towards h him. Reporter annie seeing the same scary sight from his apartment hearing the shots then seeing the suspects car which had slammed into a schoolbus both catch fire all while police are trying to nab the guy. I saw all the state troopers surrounding it much guns drawn everywhere, rifles, some of the state troopers were trying to control the traffic on this side because there were life shots being fired. Reporter state police say trooper Patrick Casey was being fired at by the 17yearold driver of the white car that took off after a routine traffic stop going bad at 76 and University Avenue about 9 30 trooper casey calls a backup getting shot in the shoulder as he tried to pull the car over on a crowded expressway. Trooper caseys car was rammed bite suspects vehicle. The suspect began firing from his car at trooper casey. Reporter state police say casey returning fire despite being shot. The gunman making a run for it but was quickly arrested by one of the troopers involved in the initial stop. The guy who was up against the car i guess they thought he was actually going surrender end just started running under the underpass and all the cops started chasing him trooper jeter was the one who apprehended the suspect after a brief foot pursuit with the apparent help of some undercover philadelphia pd officers. Reporter now, the 17yearold suspect is expected to be charged with attempted murder charged as an adult. A weapon handgun was recovered at the scene. Now there were four people in the car at the time. One was arrested during that initial traffic stop but the two other guys took off and tonight lucy and iain police are still trying to find those two. All right, dawn, thank you. Police have just released this picture of a fourth person theyre looking for. They dont know his name. Hes described as hispanic male between 18 and 22 years old. Hes got a tattoo and blue cast on his right arm. So again dawn talked about two people already in custody. Police know the name of a third suspect but they have not released that information and now investigators are trying to find the name of this person, a possible fourth suspect. If you recognize him, call police. This whole thing played out during mid morning traffic on the vine street expressway. Turns out erika and her boyfriend samuel peter kin were on their way to work. They work at the same company and they had their twoyearold son in the back seat. He was head to do daycare. Lets just say all of them were detoured. They were eastbound on the schuylkill around 9 30 a. M. Approaching the vine street expressway when a state police car raced up from behind them. He blew past us. I tried to slow a little bit as he made his way through traffic. We decided to get off the exit we didnt want to, um, be stuck in all that traffic. Reporter so began the strangest morning commute samuel and erika have ever experienced. 22nd and 59 they pulled over at the site of smoke billowing from the expressway below. Thats the white car. It started with a very little fire and then eventually it got really big and then you hear all the you hear all these booms and, it just got crazy. He forgot to put expanding joints in against our pool concrete and eventual its going to push our walls of our new pool in. Reporter they already paid another contractor nearly 10,000 to rip it all out and replace it. When dimatteo wouldnt provide insurance details, they went to the state. The new Jersey Division of Consumer Affairs tells fox 29 its reviewing two consumer complaints against the godfather of concrete. Can i talk to you about them real quickly before you go in. Do you have a state contractors license . Dimatteo told us hes registered with the state as a Home Improvement contract. The state says he isnt and failure to do so can bring a 10,000 fine. Dimatteo claims the fallons made too many changes to their job. He didnt even know they won against him in court and he keeps calling ron a bleeping cripple. He suggests the mcguires wouldnt pay fort second half of their project but admits bouncing a check he denies the threat to embarrass their fami family.
