It shows two Philadelphia Police officers scrambling to pick up a woman seemingly limp body after investigators say the officer behind the wheel of the cop car put it in reverse and hit the woman. Bloodied, too, all blood roar report Glenn Doria Wright and her twins ran out of the her house to see what was going on. The screams. And everybody just running afterwards after that i her the sirens and Police Report roar she says when she got over to the park the police were putting the woman in the car. Soon after she saw this video and was really at a loss for words. The victims face covered with blood. Wow reporter Investigators Say Police were conducting an investigation at the time. The police were parked on the pavement when it happened. During the course of the investigation, one of the officers was in his car, put the car in reverse and at that time female was behind the vehicle and the Police Vehicle struck that female. Fires burning through a building in chester. This what it looked like when firefighters rolled up and you can see they got the ladder out and theyre battling this thing. Now, they arrived about two hours ago on the 700 block of West Third Street. Fox 29s Dave Schratwieser has been on that scene for more than an hour now. How goes the battle, dave . Reporter well lucy its battle over now take look at this firefighters now have completely put out the flames. Some smoke still coming from the area, three ariel ladder trucks still here at this hour but an hour ago this fire was really cooking. Two alarm fire. We believe this was a onestory furniture warehouse on West Third Street here. Started around 8 42 tonight. Flames lots of heavy choking smoke across this neighborhood for the better part of an hour. All the streets in the surrounding area were blocked off as more than a dozen pieces of Fire Fighting apparatus and over 50 firefighters were here on the scene. No injuries to report. Were told tonight that fire investigators are on the scene trying to determine the cause of the fire at this point. Again, heavy smoke and heavy flames tonight started around 8 42. But at this hour, police and fire have the entire area reopened except for the one block where the fire is contained. And police and firefighters again tell us no injuries at this point. The fire is still under investigation as the Fire Department continues to the mop up operation here at 11 00 oclock. Lucy. Thank you, dave. The man who police say shot and killed 74yearold Robert Godwin thenn posted it on facebook is dead. He was in pennsylvania after a all. Not philadelphia. But in erie. Steve stephens died in the western pennsylvania city late this morning after twoday nationwide manhunt. Pennsylvania state police say stephens shot himself while they were on his tail. It was a quickhinking worker at a mcdonalds drive through window who tipped them off. She noticed his car and ohio tags. And mcdonalds owner was there and he stalled stephens. Basically just told him it was going to be a minute for his fries which it wasnt really we were just trying to make sure she got in contact with the state police. By the time stephens pulled out of the Parking Lot Police were on his tail. Troopers say he took his own life as they were closing in. Philadelphia police say off duty officer shot her husband at their buck county home. Neighbors woke up to crime scene tape and police cars this morning. Now police say the officer shot her husband below the belt during a domestic dispute right around 5 30. Police sources are telling us that she shot her husband in their driveway as she was trying to get away with her children. They say she used her non shot. The Police Sources tell us the couple has history of domestic issue. The husband is in the hospital stable. A newly released federal report detailed what went wrong in the moments leading up to her 2014 death. Commissioner now says changes are in store. The report shows craig made seven distress calls calling out may day as the fire trapped her in the dining room of a West Oak Lane home. The National Institute of Occupational Safety and Health Reports broken and outdated breathing equipment. Her separation from her crew and a backup team that arrived too late all led to craigs death. Two lower merion township schools are stepping up to help a school in kensington and as our Bill Anderson reports this is not only about much needed School Supplies but also friend ship for goodness sake. Webster its a school in the middle of kensington. Say hi. Some classes dont have enough paper. They dont have textbooks at a all. They need more books and more crayons they need scissors they need anything that they can get. Reporter a lot of ways lower merion is very different from kensington. But today students and administrators from the two areas came together to see if one could help the other. Everyone should at least have the basic materials regardless of where youre born. Reporter Lower Merion High School make it clear theyre committed to community service. So this year they died decided to partner with Webster Elementary School and shoot a music video to raise awareness supplies and funds. The day started with kids as young as five participating with their New High School friends and quickly evolved into an entire School Participating in the video shoot. [ cheers and applause ] smiles and change of scenery were good for the Elementary School kids but equally important were High School Students who recognized how lucky they are to have what they have and the responsibility to offer a hand up if they can. We have so much excess stuff that we dont need. If we can take some of that stuff and gift it to kids who dont have enough paper, we should do that. People have already begun to drop off supplies for webster students and hopefully donations will increase as the video spreads.
