This is the last we hopefully seen of detours over the delaware seven week after its closure because of a crack that lowered the turnpike bridge 2inches it is reopening tonig tonight. Several weeks ahead of schedule you know thanks to lot of hard work by a lot of people on both sides of the Delaware River. And also thanks to a little bit of luck especially with the weather. We were able to open well ahead of our projected april reopening of the bridge. Reporter it took weeks to jack the bridge back up and permanently splice the crack. Then as load dump trucks drove across the bridge, high tech sensors determined all was again safe. It has been one massive inconvenience for drivers. It takes me anywhere from an extra 20 to 45 minutes. For the last seven weeks thats what youve been up against. Yeah, opposed to smooth one hour driving one and a half hours.
