Philadelphia Police Chasing that truck here into bucks county. The suspect bailed out went into the woods. Swat teams and search dogs combed the area and hour later he turned up in philadelphia. Hes now in custody. Police found two loaded assault weapons inside that truck. Its kind of scary. Burned as you said by a molotov cocktail tossed at him by police say this man, jeremy jones who was just taken into custody and taken into jail by collingdale police. He was being served a warrant late this afternoon. The atf, the Delaware County bomb squad were called in when they got into his collingdale home they say they found a mini arsenal of explosives. Officers in collingdale kept on high alert tonight skyfox above the unit block of macdade boulevard just after 4 00 when deputies with the delco Sheriffs Office went to serve an arrest warrant on man for a violation of probation. They didnt expect what happen next. While officers were standing there he open the door and through what was believed to be a molotov cocktail at the front officer. The injured deputy was rushed to crozer hospitals burn unit as the man barricaded himself inside the home sparking tense hour long standoff with swat team negotiators. He eventually gave himself up and he was placed into custody. Any time they knock at a door it could be dangerous. What happened was there was a fire underground in a transformer electric wire. So they feed all the homes. So it went down, you know, the conduit or whatever went into the panel box in the basement of the house and caught the basement the panel box on fire. Reporter a long day first of all, thomas, we just found out within the hour that the scene as you can see behind me has been cleared. The Fire Department said that residents have been allowed to return home. The residents who were evacuated as we take a look at the scene here, heres what we know. Peco tells us that there was a problem underground with a wire. That wire sent smoke spewing from a manhole. Somehow all that combustion under the ground sent smoke and fire to a nearby home in a basement so firefighters had to deal with that. They respond to do that as well as Carbon Monoxide. Five firefighters had to be taken to the hospital treated for Carbon Monoxide exposure. The good news tonight were told that they are all expected to be okay. One of them the assistant fire chief with west chester Fire Department so that is the very good news here that the firefighters have been checked out. Just after being arrested here for five counts of attempted murder and aggravated assault. Police say he barricaded himself inside this macdade boulevard home for more than an hour before giving himself up but after that, police say inside that home they saw five to seven more molotov cocktails. The bomb squad who removed the potential explosives called in from the house they finally gave the all clear. Macdade boulevard was shut down for some time and some residents were evacuated. Now, that sheriffs deputy who we are told has been on the force for about seven years has not been identified. He is recovering. We are told he is talking.
