So by saturday night, all eyes will be on the developing area of low pressure in the gulf of mexico moving right over the panhandle of florida and them moving up the eastern seaboard. The big question is, where does this low go exactly . 50 miles either way east or west will a huge impact on what we see. Right now, it looks as though well see the cold air moving in saturday night. Reporter iain, neighbors were upset and stunned to learn that this teenaged mother has been accused of strangling her baby to death and then hiding up fans body on her familys prompt. Reporter 19yearold jade fan sits behind boy prison bars charged with murder after investigators say she killed her infant daughter a judge in Gloucester County ordered her jailed on 250,000 bail. Investigators tell us a man in his mid 20s was stabbed several times in the chest and then was hit by a car in the 1500 block of folk rod street. He died at the hospital. No arrests to night. One person is dead after septa train near levittown station hit them. That suspended Amtrak Service between philadelphia and trenton for about 45 minutes. But its back up and its running now. Authorities have not yet released the victims identity. In north Philadelphia Police say they shot a man who pointed a gun at them tonight. Police initially tried to stop the man because he has several warrants but he ran then flashed hits gun at officers one of the officers shot him hitting him in the legs and back much he is expected to survive. The family of Maryland Police officer killed in the line of duty will lay him to rest in delaware county. Jacai colson died in an ambush sunday. Police say three men attacked the Prince Georges CountyPolice Station in landover. Three players use a broom handle to sexually assault a freshman player in october. The school says the locker room had an insufficient adult presence. Gathering comes after triple stabbing in the area killed one of the victims last week. Unwanted wake up call for a suspect sleeping on a septa bus. Septa police got all of the other passengers off first though. They face Ronald Graham the man who shot a worker at a north philadelphia churchs chicken earlier this month. Septa Police Released this body camera video today after grahams arrest last week. Police say a septa employee recognized graham from the video and they say they were also very familiar with him because he made many complaints about septa to customer service. Graham faces charges of attempted homicide. To night arrest more than two years in the making. It all start the in this house in february of 2014 where police say someone murdered three people execution style. Police say several key pieces of evidence helped them crack the case. Reporter the Philadelphia DistrictAttorneys Office says the evidence pointed to Quadir Jeffreys as one of two gunmen hyped a twoyearold triple murder i. Murder. Three kill in the Home Invasion. They were shot execution style. They were shot point blank range in their heads. Reporter investigators say because witnesses were unwilling to cooperate they had to call for an investigating grand jury to build their case against jeffreys. Every homicide case we have witness intimidation and that occurred in this matter as well. We needed his associates to come in and answer innocuous questions. They didnt want to do it. We needed the grand jury to subpoena them to do that. Reporter ballistic evidence was key in the case. The gun was big part. Reporter investigators linking a gun used in a Home Invasion shooting in hunting park nearly a month before to jeffreys. Fired cartridge cases from the scene matched a fired cartridge case from a scene of horrific Home Invasion shooting just 26 days prior for which jeffreys was convicted. Investigators say cell phone records put jeffreys at the scene of the crime and they also found a picture on his phone of the same ammunition used in the triple murder. The ammunition used in martins mill murders were nine mill neither luge gary full metal jacket with manufacturer of pmc. Investigators also say jeffreys used one of the victims atm cards after the murders. It took a lot of connecting the dots to put this case together but as i said all of the roads kept leading back to Quadir Jeffreys. Protesters outside district headquarters are calling for an end to the School Reform commission. The local president of the naacp says its time for a local board to control city schools. Teachers in philadelphia face a shortage of books and other supplies that make learning an uphill battle much says Teachers Union president jerry jordan of the conditions facing new hires they dont have all that they need. Thats fairly competitive with mid level suburban districts. But a lengthy contract stalemate means city teachers havent had a raise since 2012. Everything that is done by i guess you could say the norm i just conform it to my way and make it work for me. Reporter julia has been carving her own path since she because a little girl. About six months of age she wasnt doing what most children would do at six months. Her motor skills. That was when her parents brought err to see physical therapist doctor am met. She had her muscles were stiff and weak. At that time she couldnt crawl. She had a big problem just to move from place to the next. In when i was younger doctors told me i would never be able to walk. I just would be wheelchair bound for the rest of my life and basically not to be hopeful. But julia and her parents didnt give up hope and traveled to poland for extensive therapy. Six day a week program, four weeks and go from about 8am to 4 00 p. M. , and its tiring on the children but it got julia from being real chair bound to being able to walk with crutch crutches. Can you lift your arm . Julia still work hard. She meets with the doctor multiple times a week hoping to strengthen her muscles. But behind the struggle and the smile there are times when this 21yearold wonders about her future. Lots of people want to find somebody get married, have family, and i think that maybe with my disability and my situation that that may not happen. I mean it could, but i dont want to say, yeah, yeah, yeah, it definitely will, when i truly feel inside maybe it wont. You know what i mean . So i feel like if i didnt have my situation so much of my life would be different. You do such a good job. You really do. I feel like if thats what you want youll get it. Any time i put my mind to something i think i should get it. Julia senior at st. Francis college and will graduate in may with a degree in communication. This past summer she interned here at fox5. Now she has her own dreams of getting in it made me feel competent if myself and the career of being a reporter on tv can actually happen.
