San Francisco International airport says united flight 1108 bound for boston was taxiing the runway when it turned around and went back to the gate. It was delayed for nearly five hours. United says the flight was delayed because of a disruptive customer on board and despite social media reports, a spokesperson for the governor says christie never interacted with that patient. A philadelphia funeral director is behind parse to bite in bars in connection with three bodies found inside garage over the summer. Police arresting janet powell daily earlier today. Shes the owner of powell funeral home on north 27th street in strawberry mansion. Back in august, police were called out to the funeral home to investigate a foul odor. Officers say they discovered three bodies, one in a coffin and two others in cardboard body boxes. Inside a garage there. The funeral home had been operating without a license since 2012. Brazen burglars have Haddonfield Police on alert tonight. Thieves are breaking into cars and homes and in some cases the owners were home sleeping at the time. The shelter receiving so many dogs in a single day it says had no choice but to euthanize almost two dozen of them yesterday. Well now its putting out a desperate plea even offering large dogs for free hoping to find them good homes to save their lives. Fox 29s brad sattin is just back from the shelter with more. Brad . Dawn, youre right. It is heartbreaking. Were talking about over at the philly animal care and control team. It is known as act its located on west hunting park avenue. They really are the First Responders for the city when it comes to abandoned dogs most of them seem to be pitbull mix which is do tend to scare some people, but with the right families were told they can be great dogs. Sit down. Reporter this is dozer a high energy most of the time any way loveable guy given up by a previous owner who writes hes really a great dog. Hes a big teddy bear, not a mean bone in his body. But dozers life is jeopardy hes been here for a month longer than any other dog which is alarming considering the philly animal care and control team had to euthanize 22 dogs thursday because they simply ran out of room. On days like yesterday, its a really really heavy, heavy, um, emotional burden to bear. Reporter dogs end up here when theyre picked up by the citys animal control or dropped off by owners who just cant care for them. Wednesday, they got double the usual number. This is probably the worst in recent history. At least in the last five to 10 years. So were really struggling and if people want to help, now is the time. Please come down and save life. Natalie a drexel student volunteers with dozer six days a week. As dogs were being put to sleep yesterday she says it was dozer that comforted her. We bring it homeless shelters where we council them and we help them and try to get food ready prepared for them for lunch time, breakfast and dinn dinner. This week though mike had set back of sorts one of his freezers stopped working. Our big monster which is sitting in the bar gap right now went down. Vintage freezer hed been using for donated food was on its last leg. He called for service at daves appliance in horsham who sent a tech. The tech determined the compressor was shot. The tech today what she could. She died that she was going to go and buy ice for him to hold him over. The person took an interest in what was going on i just cant let this food go to waste. The tech told her boss she felt sorry for mike who was running a nonprofit helping other people. She said he cant afford a freezer so we decided to pick one up at home depot and deliver it to him. Went out on their own dime and they bought in new freezer. Without that new freezer the donated food hundreds of pounds of frozen Fried Chicken from kfc and other food items would have spoiled. We paid for the service call and but what he did is he went beyond that. Blew me away. I was just doing it to help him out and help out the people he was helping. After weeks in the hospital, surgeries and skin grafts the little boy still has a very long road to recovery. Seven year old injury reads costume caught fire at a Party Halloween night. There was a jack o lantern that had a candle it in. He grabbed to grab a piece of candy and the shirt on his costume caught fire. She describes the horrifying accident jareds mom told her he endured. His whole shirt was in flames eau stanley and new selena rolled him to get it to go out but it was, you know, i think up to his chin so his whole torso and his arm were burn. Jared has been in the hospital ever since. In addition to the burns, his lung collapsed. His mom selena told karen hes had multiple surgeries and a number of skin grafts. She just texted me and she said hes had some really great days lately were her words. Hes Walking Around now which is really good. Karen and others in their mullica hill neighborhood are doing whatever they can to help. She started this gofundme page to raise money to help with jareds mounting medical bills. Im praying you get better really really fast. The goal is five tow thousand dollars. So far friends even strangers have donated close to 30,000. They say it will be a big help to jared and the family when also includes his twin sister and older sister. It could be any of us.
