Familiar, friends and complete strangers have gathered tonight to remember nicole stone and her family at emotional vigil in souderton. Fox 29s Shawnette Wilson is there. Shawnette are it is just simply heart wrenching. Reporter let me tell you, lucy, it was hard to sit inside this church and watch most people crying and struggling to console each other. This is a tragedy that has devastated a family actually destroyed a family and shaken this community. A lot of people gathered many of them who know the victims of this tragedy. Many did not know and simply been following what has happened since yesterday and they are struggling to come to grips with what has happened this vigil happened here tonight. It started 6 00 oclock. We also learned that a second vigil will be held on saturday. That one take place at 7 00 oclock at the pheasant run apartments that is where nicole stone was killed and bradley stone took their two children before dropping them safely off elsewhere. And lets take a look what happened inside the church tonight. Okay again this vigil happened at the church here behind me tonight. Emmanuel Lutheran Church took place at 6 00 oclock this evening. It was a vigil put together to remember those who lost their lives in this tragedy that happened yesterday. Also, the community wanted to send up prayers for 17yearold anthony flick. He is the nephew of nicole stone. He is in the hospital tonight. He is the only survivor of this tragedy. A second vigil as we mentioned will take place on saturday. That one will make place at the pheasant run apartments at 7 00 p. M. That is where nicole stone lived and she lost her life but, again a very strong outpou outpouringt the church tonight as many turned out to remember and struggle to heal from this tragedy. Reporter well, iain, the home of accused mass murderer bradley stone is all boarded up tonight as this community tries to start the healing process. Take a look behind me. U. S. Marine flag draped over his home. Stones body was discovered about 1 30 this afternoon. Just about a half a mile from here ending two days of terror in this community. He was quiet. He didnt cause any problems. Reporter she lived next door to bradley stone for the past two years but had no idea the man with the marine flag flying on his porch would end up to be a killer. Its just a shame that this sort of thing can happen. Reporter the tense twoday manhunt for the 35yearold ex marine came to an end when a swat team found stones lifeless body near a stream bed half a mile away from his pennsburg home. Police sources say he killed himself with a sword to his stomach. No justification for snuffing out these six innocent lives. Reporter Montgomery CountyDistrict Attorney outlined stones 90 minute killing spree. The victims the killers exwife nicole and five of her relativ relatives. All of them shot or stabbed to death. Clearly we are looking at a premeditated killing, a planned killing, an intentional deliberate killing but in terms of how long that was thought out or what sort of planning was involved, we just dont know that yet. Reporter rampage started at the souderton home of stones ex sisterinlaw patricia flick. Thats where Police Say Stone killed three of his ex in la us and wounded a fourth. Stone then drove to lansdowne where he shot and kill his ex motherinlaw and her 75yearold mother. The third stop on the killing spree, the harleysville home of stones exwife. After shooting her in the head, stone drove away with their two daughters. Eventually dropping them off with his current wife unhurt. To have an event like this really shattered the piece and tranquility of the community its very disturbing. Reporter a coroners van took away the body of brad stone the big question, what made him snap . It was reported he was suffering from post Traumatic Stress following anoint day tour in iraq and he was involved in a bitter custody dispute over his children. Stone recently remarried and had a newborn son with his new wife. Outside of their home, a single candle put there by a neighbor a symbol of healing. I just hope now that the family can heal. Thats all that i really the wife and the baby and the two girls. I hope they can get some normalcy back in their life. Reporter now the only surviving victim in this is 17yearold anthony flick. He is in serious but stable condition at jefferson hospital. He lost three of his fingers. They were cut off during a struggle with stone. We are told he was trying to protect himself. Neighbors living nicoles apartment complex they say had barely slept since mondays killing spree. There was one officer out here. I said they were taping everything off. Was that gun i heard. I said it was nicole, wasnt it . Because i knew. She was afraid. He threatened her. And she kept telling people. Hes going to put a bullet in my head. Thats exactly what she said. Hes going to kill me and nobody is going believe me until im dead. A judge has ordered three suspects in the center city attack on a gay couple held for trial. 24yearold philip williams. 24yearold catherine knot and 26yearold Kevin Harrigan face charges of aggravated assault and conspiracy. That attack happened in september at 16th and chancellor streets in center city philadelphia. The victims say the three shouted gay slurs before attacking them. But defense lawyers insist that both sides played a role and that Sexual Orientation was not an issue. Cops on the mainline used some Clever Police work to catch up with people wanted on outstanding warrants. Radnor, hover town and Marple Newtown have been trying to round up 46 people for nearly two years. So they came up with a plan they thought could work and it did. Detectives mailed letters to suspects telling them that they had a refund coming their way. They set up a fake location for the suspects to arrive and sure enough nearly two dozen people fell for it. Look at him. 39yearold larry sutter field was rescued monday night after spending six days on the bahamas island. My doctor called me that day on the job and said your blood sugar is 454 and i think youre diabetic and you need to get tested right now. Laura was diagnosed with type one diabetes. A life long disease in which too much sugar builds up in the blood and the body didnt breakout down. Your world changes completely. Its a shock. Its i was petrified of needles. Laura adjusted and soon needles became nothing. She got married, had two sons. Learned how to give herself shots anywhere any time. Which brings us to this picture. Im in new york city. I was a couple years ago i was with my friends, and they all know heim diabetic. We were out at a club, and i was teagueing my shot just like i normally do. I had my dress lifted kind of up to my thigh it wasnt obscene. I was taking my shot. My friend said hey, laura, i looked up and as she was taking it and she snapped the picture. Laura posted it online and diabetic daily rei posted it and on its facebook page. Soon there were more than a thousand likes. There were a couple people who said thats obscene to show that much skin some place public and im only looking for attention. People actually went as far to say i should go at the bathroom to do it or go out to my car. Reporter many found this photo refreshing. I just showed this to my 12yearold, i just showed this to my teenager she loves you. She wants to be like that and you made her feel good about herself. You made her feel like she doesnt have to hide. Reporter last year laura cronin sat down and started writing her story. I fetal it was time for people to get a positive approach to diabetes to make fun of it torque laugh about her. Reporter book two sweet not so serious side to diabetes. You can have your doctors and you can your friends you can have your family but no one truly understanding what youre going through except a diabetic.
