Would have been a nice day at the zoo today. Weve had a pattern the weekends have been phenomenal. Dont jinx it. I wont. Jeez louise you. Said this week its getting hot. Really hot. Well be looking at a potential heat wave. The humidity comes back and all comes back thunderstorms, too, unfortunately. Its three days dead smack in the middle of the week that we have to look out for. Otherwise its not too bad. The fourth of july forecast still a little bit iffy but ill tell you would you that in just a second. 73 right now in the temperature. We have 75, rather in philadelphia. Its 73 in pottstown. Coolest temperatures up in mount pocono 67 degrees. And then we have 60s along the shore. A little cooler there courtesy of a is he breeze we had through much of the day. The heat though is building. So look out to the west. You can see oranges and the reds. Thats where we had temperatures today in the 100 degrees. That is headed our way along with tropical moisture. So things start to get really hot here by tuesday and then the thunderstorms start to come into play and you can see a front thats sitting out to our west made for lot of tornado warnings through the midwest earlier this evening. Right now we do have a line of showers that is pretty much sitting out to our west going from williamsport down towards harrisburg. Its dying out, though, and thats because its pushing into some drier air thats over our region. So its not really going to make it that far. I want to show you fox future cast, though. And it is making for a chance, a models are giving us a little bit of a chance for northwestern counties to pick up on a few scattered showers tomorrow afternoon. I think this is a little aggressive. I think for most of us well stay dry. Certainly to the northwest a slight chance i call it about 10 chance. But im going to say its a dry forecast for monday. Tuesday is when we start to have to worry about the rain coming in and the scattered showers and thunderstorms. As we advance it through tuesday by 4 00 oclock in the afterno afternoon, scattered showers start to move in along and ahead of a front and that will be the same front that just kind of sits over us for wednesday and thursday that keeps building the heat and then sparking the thunderstorms. Heres whats to expect. Monday its mainly dry. Again with that exception out to our far northwest late day we could see few showers. It is more humid tomorrow. Certainly youre going to notice that. Then tuesday to thursday possible heat wave temperatures will be 90 degrees or better for those three days. Scattered storms on tap. Very humid. Heat indices by the way could be from 100 to 103. Fourth of july, still uncertain. Lingering shower possible. But if it does happen it will happen early in the morning fourth of July Fireworks forecast looking good. Down at the shore cast we are looking at highs in the 70s. Its a nice day along the beach. 88 degrees here in the city for tomorrow. Theres a look at the seven day forecast. Tuesday, wednesday, thursday it is hot, humid scattered showers and thunderstorms. Friday looks okay for now. Not a washout. Maybe just a lingering shower in the morning. We will keep our fingers crossed. Yes. For another good weekend. Thats it. Thank you dominica. That will do it for the fox 29 news at 10 00. Keep it right here for sports sunday.
