Chilling images tonight of the man Philadelphia Police believe follow add young woman home, forced his way into her rittenhouse apartment and raped her. Hes on the loose tonight but investigators have released this Surveillance Video and theyre hoping to catch him before somebody else becomes a victim. Good evening, everybody. Im joyce evans. And im chris oconnell. Nearly 48 hours after the attack, people in the neighborhood where it happened remain on edge tonight. Fox 29s Sabina Kuriakose has the story tonight. Reporter Surveillance Video shows the 26 year old victim just yards from her door at 1 20 saturday when the suspected rapist comes up behind her and grabs her neck. Police say he forces her to first open her buildings door then her apartment. Once inside investigator investe rapes and robs her. My god, the girl had nothing to do with anything. Im really shocked because this neighborhood is really family friendly. Reporter police say the alleged rapist steals a young womans iphone and keys and watch closely. Youre looking at the suspect leaving the sick tims apartment after the initial rape. But then he turns around and goes back inside the building and assaults her a second time. Its a darn shame this kind of thing could happen here. I guess could it happen anywhere. Our hearts go out to the poor girl that, you know, this happened to and we hope that she heals in a quick and painless manner. Reporter Rittenhouse Square residents are on edge as the police hunt for the alleged rapist who targeted their neighbor. If this person is still, you know, at large and has not been caught probably keep an extra eye out. Prayer full thing to happen someone who does nothing. Doesnt even know. Its a total stranger. Breaking news out of israel tonight where the country has confirmed air strikes that were launched this weekend have hit their targets. Those targets were nine military locations inside syria including a command center. The strikes come in response to a cross border attack that left israeli teenager, one israeli teenager dead. Israeli Officials Say the attack was a quote unprovoked act aggression against israel. Then a military Spokesman Says that quote direct hits are confirm. No word yet from officials in syria. The summer is off to violent start with the weekend erupting in gunfire across the city tonight three people are dead and residents say theyre scared. Theyre calling for an end to the violence. Police have their hands full dealing with at least eight shoot that is have left three people dead. Residents all across the city are on edge, and police need all the help they can get tonight . Pow, pow, pow, pow. Reporter hail gunfire rocks the 1900 block of 69th avenue in West Oak Lane sunday afternoon. Its an area where children play. Also where a 21 year old man died. Police say he was shot at 15 times at point blank range. Like an automatic or Something Like that. One of them kind of guns. Get down on the ground. Get down on the floor. And thats what we did. Until the gunshots was over. Reporter this identified man found the dying victim in his back alley and tried to he help. I grabbed the middle part around his lower back area to try to lift him. Me and a cop and another young man got him in the car and they took him away. Reporter the victim pronounced dead at the hospital. Saturday night shell casings litter the the ground after two teens were hit by gunfire during a barbecue on the 700 block of westmont avenue in north philadelphia. A 16 year old boy shot in the head and killed. A 19 year old hospitalized. A cop car window even shot out. All of this has police were breaking up hundreds of people at the barbecue. At that time there was about 11 10 or 11 shots fired. Reporter also in north philadelphia, a man shot multiple times after an argument at this bar at rising sun and germantown avenue. The victim hospitalized and pronounced dead. Some of the same cops on this scene, too. We have about 13 shell casings and there was a large crowd at the time of the incident. Reporter suspect still at large. On the 5500 block of north american street in north philadelphia, two shootings take place including an incident where police say a man was shot at eight times hit in the leg by a man who allegedly asked about the sale of pills in the area. That victim treated at einstein hospital. No arrests made yet. And on the 1300 block of mc kin the street in oxford circle, a 17 year old boy is shot twice in the back side while inside this house. He, too, taken to the hospital while Police Search for the shooter. In the meantime, police say they are either talking to witnesses or looking for witnesses. But a couple months ago, that cancer came back aggressively. She passed away a day before this benefit. She was supposed to attend.
