Yesterdays High Temperature was 93. Lets talk about the weather changes and what to expect for the overnight. Scattered showers and thunderstorms. Some that activity could be strong. Then as we move into your thursday morning, a few leftover showers and thunderstorms. It stays warm and muggy and then it looks like another round of showers and thunderstorms for the afternoon. From say, two, to 6 00 oclock. We could be looking at a quarter of an inch to half an inch of rain and then after that system passes, drier conditions, lower relative humidity values and turning comfortable again. But look at the 3d storm view. You can see the clouds. You can see that line of showers and thunderstorms toward the North Central and western part of the state. And there is a slight risk for severe weather. You can see this yellow box included in that Lancaster County for the potential of strong winds, quarter sized hail as well as some heavy rainfall. So most of that activity will likely weaken as it continues to head in our direction. But take look at the multiple severe thunderstorm warnings and also gusty winds. The potential with this line right now it has some hail so just watch out for this as we put the tracker you can see arriving during the overnight time frame, toward our area. So heres the clock. By 1 00 a. M. , watching some pockets of showers moving into northern sections of delaware. Also, north and west toward the Lehigh Valley as well as the poconos by 2 00 a. M. Still watching some activity moving out of sections of delaware. South of Philadelphia Moving into interior sections of south jersey. This is 3 00 a. M. So dont be surprised to hear that rumble of thunder during the overnight and Early Morning time frame on your thursday. You can see by three, 4 00 oclock still most of the coverage to the north of the philadelphia area but once again some of that activity could be a little strong perhaps even severe. Then as we move throughout the day, well get that lull and then by the afternoon well watch a thin line of some scattered showers and thunderstorms approach our area. Heres 5 00 oclock along i95 and then moving toward south jersey and then drying out, clearing out and feeling more comfortable. Temperatures right now, well above average at 88 degrees still in the philadelphia area. All of that concrete, the urban heat areas. You can see 81 in trenton. 82 right now in wilmington. Low 80s still in atlantic city. So the forecast for tonight, 70 degrees for the suburbs. 74 in the city. Were looking at those overnight scattered showers and storms but staying muggy and then for tomorrow, the High Temperature not as hot. 85 degrees. A couple of rounds of storms early in the morning and then again during the afternoon. So forecast by the numbers on a scale of one to 10, well give tomorrow a six. The Weather Authority seven day forecast showing you 85 degrees for the High Temperature on thursday. Scattered showers and storms.
