Nine is what it feels like in pottstown, allentown, so the deal is we dont have a lot of wind but the temperatures themselves are cold enough, and that will warrant another day of bundling up. There has only been one lane available through the overnight. And i say by 5 00 well be back to normal. But northeast philly heads up the princeton avenue onramp to head north on 95. Closed until 5 00 this morning. So if you are heading north you will have to use frankford avenue and jump onto 95 at academy road, in order to make your way up toward woodhaven and street road. Philly international put your trace in the upright position. We are good to go, normal operations back in business there at the airport. I dont think well have an issue today with flying, however, tonight into tomorrow, you may want to look at your travel plans and get out of town today before whatever is coming later tonight into tomorrow arrives. One person dead after a crash at and double shooting in philadelphias olney section. Lets go to fox 29s Jennifer Joyce with this story. Jennifer good morning. Reporter good morning, chris, lauren, thats right. Two people shot. Thats not what police thought initially happened. They were called out here because of a car accident. Chief joining us, can you break this down for us . This is all a surprise to you and a very unusual case. Yes initially the 911 call was an accident annie minivan crashed into a house and upon Police Arrival one of the victims was able to get out of the car and talk to police and paramedics. Although he had some obvious injuries to his head, we did not know until he arrived at the hospital and the front seat passenger who he was with was pronounced dead t wasnt until then about 20, 25 minute later, that we realized that both of them had been shot in the head. Very unusual. So he was here, he was just walking and talking to police, made no mention that he was shot . He exited the car on his own volition, he was walking talking, standing, waiting bleeding from the head but did not tell us not only that he was shot twice but that the person who was in the car with him was also shot in the head. What do you make of that . We dont know why that he wouldnt tell us he was shot. Maybe they were up to no good which led to the shooting, were not sure, maybe he was just in shock . But homicide detectives are at einstein hospital, and this man is expected to survive. So he will be thoroughly interviewed. And chief, you also said according to witness statement, there may have been three other people inside the vehicle at the time of the accident shooting . Yes several witnesses that are being interviewed at homicide did tell first responding offers thats they saw at least three individuals fleeing from the immediate area of the minivan, so there is a possibility that those three individuals, one of them, may have been the shooter and the shooting may have took place inside of the minivan. Limited balistic evidence at this point really no shells around here . We didnt find any shell cases or balistic evidence on the street near the minivan, nor did we find any bullet holes through the doors or the windows of the minivan, which leads us to believe that the shots may have been fired from inside of the minivan. Okay, so, we have a car into the side of the house and i was also hearing, i know you gave us a previous interview that the house sustained structural damage . Some of the stones and the bricks tear yore of the house were damaged. The residents of the house showed me dry walt damage to two rooms and the hard wood floor had a large crack in it from the impact of the vehicle. So l i are on the scene now just making sure that this house is structurally sound. But no one injured . There was five people in the house at the time. None of them were injured. Okay, thats a relief at least. At this point police still sorting out the details circumstances surrounding the shooting, as well as the car accident. Back to you, chris lauren . Criminal charges were never filed, but a report from the Inspector General recommends the firefighters be fired or disciplined. City Officials Say they cant comment on specifics. Police are calling this very unusual case. They were called out here to the scene for the report after car into a house t wasnt for another hour that they found out that two people had been shot, one person had been killed heres a look at the scene, smashed up 2001 minivan up against the edge after home here on north american and clarkson streets in olney. Police say five people were inside the home at the time. There is structural damage to the house that no one was hurt. Police say, it was about 12 45 this morning when they were called out to the scene according to witnesses there were five people inside the van when it crashed. Three took off running. There was also a 20 year old man who was conscious. He got out of the car and was talking to police about the accident. He was bleeding. But he never mentioned that he was bleeding because he was shot in the head. Also, never mentioned that he had a friend in the car who was shot dead. We did not know until he arrived at the hospital and the front seat passenger who he was with was pronounced dead. A Montgomery County woman accused of stealing more than 10,000 from boy and girl scouts, she was supposed to be helping. Police say heather bellford was the leader for pack 27 and girl scout troop in upper providence. Investigators say she used special credit cards meant to buy things for both groups, but instead, she stole more than 10,000. Bellford faces a number of charges including theft. Inspectors say they believe the freezing every water and the thawing of the ice may have led to bricks falling from a Popular Center city store this week. Temporary repairs are being done to secure the building next to the lululemon store following tuesdays collapse that injured three women officials with the department of licenses and inspections say that water infiltration along with freezing and then that thawing could have caused the bricks to become dislodged. Two dead, that makes three dead already in this new year as january comes to this awful close, so, the Fire Department is trying to figure out what happened. This rowhouse right in the middle of the block fortunately it, did not spread to the house nextdoor has the doors open, they let the resident just go back into that house but this house, i can tell you from being in front of it, moments ago just completely gutted on both floors. So it looks, to me, that nobody had any warning that this fire was even going until it was just too late, including the Fire Department, and the people inside. So well try to get awe official update from the commissioner, if he gets back to the scene here, but right now, were told by fire personnel that two people were killed here in the middle of the night here in south philadelphia, in this fatal fire.
