Its above average, but its cooler than this time yesterday. The clouds, you notice them this lakeland. We see breaks in the clouds. 67 in clearwater and up to 68 this hour in st. Pete and brooksville at 63 and its so comfortable. We dropped the dupe into the 50s and 50s and 60s. If you dont like the warmth, nice. We have a couple of sprinkles and they have exited. Theyre west of u. S. 19 and pasco county. Look at the clouds coming in from the west and east today thanks to the northeast wind, which is a bit breezy, again, this afternoon. 8 for the high, which is above average, but a pleasant day and a greatlooking week ahead. Three people are dead over an overpass on i75. Again, we know that three people are dead, thats the father, who is 31 years old or a man 31 years old and two children, a 9 and 5yearold. This happened in brandon. This is a live picture of the scene from the fdot camera. Traffic is very slowmoving on the right side of the screen. A car landed on woodbury road. Well was taken to Tampa General Hospital with lifethreatening injuries. Witnesses say the car was speeding before that accident. Of course, florida Highway Patrol is investigating. Fox 13s kellie cowan is on her way to the scene right now. Shell have the latest information on the story as soon as she gets there. Also new this morning, the Pinellas County Sheriffs Office is investigating a deadly street north around 10 30 last niem. John zamola was ramming his wifes car and knocking out a pillar on their house with a pickup truck. When deputies approached him and he got out of the truck with the a knife, thats when he was killed according to investigators. Were fortunate the deputies are safe and that they were able to do what they did to protect themselves, because he was officers were hurt. They are both on paid administrative leave pending the outcome of the investigation. After many months of campaigning, the time has come. Today is the last day of early voting, and tuesday is election day. Fox 13s Political Editor Craig Patrick is with us this morning. We know that early voting expects today. Whats the turnout going fob . Low 70s, 72 turnout by the time all is said the surge we saw in mailin ballots and early voting, youre dealing with in excess of 40 of the vote already being in before election day itself. So the election actually started weeks ago. All eyes continue to be on florida. This race gets tighter and tighter by the day. Hillary clinton and donald trump, its neck and neck. What do you think well see here in florida . You just nailed it. Neck and neck. Florida is ground zero. Florida is going to be very, very close as well. Florida. Mathematically making some basic assumptions here, donald trump cannot win the white house without winning the state of florida. He knows it, and Hillary Clinton knows its checkmate if shes able to win florida. Its why theyve both spent so much time here, and i think it will come down to the wire. If you look at the returns so far in early voting, republicans and democrats are neck and neck. If you extrapolate where the vote came in with the polling, it shows that theyre separated by a sliver heading into election day. I think it kind of nights with everybody watching what happens in florida. I have to ask you, a lot of polls are coming out, and they show a very tight race at some point trump even leading Hillary Clinton, but its well within the margin of error. With that said, a lot of the experts are still predicting that Hillary Clinton will become our next president. Why so . How is that playing out . A lot also predicted trump wouldnt get the republican nomi nomination, so you jr. Ed estimate trump at your own Hillary Clinton has an inherent advantage in the electoral college. We dont have a national election. We have 51 different elections, 50 states plus d. C. If you look at the way those states are stacked, Hillary Clinton enters this with a presumed edge in electoral votes, which means it makes it much tougher for donald trump. He has to run the table in a certain sequence of states. It certainly is possible, but she clearly has the inside track. Early voting ends today. Its a wonderful opportunity to t going to be a madhouse i think at a lot of polling stations out there, and i imagine thats what a lot of supervisors of elections are tells folks if you cant get out there. Come tuesday theres a lot of people out there. We dont want a repeat of 2012. That was part of the thinking here. You had sixhour lines to vote and they were waiting for florida to weigh in and they wouldnt weigh in. Come on, florida. Election managers across the state are determined to make sure Something Like that does you have many in tampa bay area it particular in hillsborough county. Theyre giving as many access to vote as they can heading into tuesday. I have to ask and i dont know if you give me a clear answer. Thats okay. The movement has clearly favored donald trump, and all those people that said this race was over a month ago were just plain wrong, because theres always the potential for an october surprise to come along, as we had surprises for months. Boy, did one come along a few days ago and shook up the race in ways very, very difficult to predict, and were basing this on polling. Guess what . In britain the polls were wrong, werent they . They have been in the past. Werent they . Theyve been wrong time and time again. You can make a difference, and thats why i think were a long way from finished by this time on tuesday night. Also developing this morning, Plant City Police are investigating an officerinvolved shooting. It happened in downtown. Police got a call about a theft at a downtown store just before 2 00 in the afternoon when an officer caught up with the suspect, there was a confrontation and altercation of some sort. Thats when detectives say the officer opened fire in selfdefense. Its scary. You just got to be careful and watch who comes in th then we saw people running because they, i think, were scared as well. Alcides no word on how the suspect is doing. The officer was not hurt. Fdle is investigating. A 15yearold pasco county student is arrested after deputies say he threatened to shoot people at his school. The teen is a student at classical preparatory academy. On tuesday the teen made statements about shooting up the where to get a gun. The teen admitted to everything but says he wasnt serious. The happiest place on earth got a little happier yesterday. Thousands of people came out to see the cubs championship parade at disney. A northeast wind anywhere from 5 to 10 Miles Per Hour this morning. It will be breezy up to about the 10 to 15mileperhour range by late morning into midday near the coast. As millenials think about starting families, they want to start the same things that baby boomers traditionally have sought. You know, more space, safer neighborhoods, and school districts, good school districts, and that could revolutionize the real estate industry. Justin is here joining us to talk more about that. I find in fascinating, because i hadnt heard this before. What does this mean for everyone trying to sell or rent . I mean, its a good thing. You know, right now everybody retirees and things like that. Actually, what were seeing is theres more millenials, people between 18 to 34 that are in the area moving to the area and really taking over. The thing is, a long of the millenials are getting used to certain things already being, you know, done with homes. Theyre used to large and more space. Theyre used to larger closets and more room and just a home more buyers are looking for, versus baby boomers used to home with more character and a little older. The new buyers, the millenials, they want brandnew, and they want maybe looks like it was never used. Alcides what does it mean for the market, though . The market will show an increase if anything. A few things factor in here. Just because mill lennians want to buy homes doesnt mean they can. Theyve got debt coming in with in addition to that, finding a job where they can qualify for maybe the type of home that theyre looking for, its not happening right off the bat. So theyve got to find the right financing, but its looking like its going to be increasing the market a bit once more Financing Options become available for the millenials out here. Let me ask you this. What does it mean for the markets in the bay area when you see changes like this . Does that mean that folks are moving further out to get more space . Do you think thats going to continue . What are you seeing . I see it continues because the millenials are to the point now where they look to purchase homes. Previous to now they were more in the rental market. Because the prices of homes have gone up and rental prices went up as well, so the millenials think rather than spend money on rent, we might as well buy. Right now with Interest Rates where they are, you cant borrow money at the price its offered at right now. It makes sense to get a mortgage if youre able to. Prices for something youre not going to own yet. Is this a good or bad thing . Its a good thing, as long as you know, the buyers need to be educated. A lot of times the millenials get out and its their first time buying a home. Theyre not sure what to look for when it comes to it. They know ha they want for sure, but theyre not quite sure everything to look into when purchasing a home, what to look into with the area, what to look out for with the homes, and everything that comes along w i mean, what they have to do is educate themselves on the market and figure out what it is that theyre really looking to purchase in the end. Are they looking to move to an area for the location and distance to certain amenities, or are they looking for an investment standpoint and to pick it up. I only see good things coming from it. It means more home purchases and people keep coming to the area here. I agree. Important thing. Absolutely. Pasco county deputies arrest a pair of siblings behind a strong of car burglaries. They both face grand sheft auto charges. They broke into two cars and took one earlier in the week in the pine ridge subdivision. Investigators believe theyre also responsible for car breakins in the seven oaks neighborhoods. Just a horrific scene. Reporter absolutely it is, and its still an active scene as well as investigators try to figure out exactly what happened last night. We learn more details right now from the florida Highway Patrol. Ill step out so you can take a the family was apparently going northbound on 75 when they lost control of their vehicle. Now, their car crash crossed Center Median and hit a guardrail on 75 and they flipped over 75. Both parents inside the car were not wearing their safety belts. They were apparently ejected from the vehicle as it fell onto woodberry road where it came to a rest just below 75. The two cld belts. They were inside the vehicle. Theyre a 5yearold and 9yearold. See sierra green and ronald green iii were killed in the crash and the father died as well, ronald l. Green ii. Their mother survived the crashing. As i mentioned, she was ejected from the vehicle and was taken to the hospital and is in serious condition at this point. Were learning from fhp we just believe they havent said whether they believe speed was a factor, but we are finding out alcohol was likely a factor in this crash. We ask for a profile and are they good with kids or housetrained and they were having a difficult time. She knows spanish better than english. We have a young lady that speaks spanish. She perks up when you speak spanish. She understands two languages, shes 2 and very small, 15 pounds. You think maybe house trained . She doesnt mess in her cage, and she seems like other dogs. Shes a quiet, nice little girl. She likes to sit on the couch. Full fullgrown. Not bad. Shell get a good home today. Shes so wellbehaved nicely.
