Reports, some people are choosing to stay behind. Some people at New Port Richeys blue heron Point Community dont want to leave, their valuables that made it through the floodwater. We havent seen deputies out here and these people are worried about looters. Their homes are covered by inches of water. First responders went door to ground. Even dogs were forced to swim where they would normally walk. At one point volunteers took boats around the neighborhood to rescue anyone they could. They saved a woman and her daysold kittens taking them out of the floodwater to family where they can stay until the water recedes. They are awesome. So nice to know there are nice people like that.
