Men stole five cars, five cars from a dealership on thursday night. Investigators dont think this is a first for the group here. Just two weeks ago deputies caught six thieves breaking into a car dealership in inverness. As kellie cowan explains, authorities believe their dealing with a crime ring here. Reporter this is a familiar scene at Car Dealerships across Central Florida right now. Surveillance video showing thieves smashing through glass to cars in the lot, and then driving off with them. This one happened last thursday at kelly automotive in auburndale. These burglars took off with five cars. Investigators say this wasnt their first time. Its not an isolated incident. Its a continuing pattern. Reporter just two weeks ago, deputies in inverness captured six young men, three of them juveniles, caught redhanded doing the same thing. Video from dealerships and other businesses across Central Florida. The burglaries didnt stop once they went to jail. From those cases a number of arrests have been made, but there are still a number of other people that are responsible for some of the other thefts that are happening around the Central Florida area. Reporter investigators believe the thieves in all the videos are part of a much larger crime ring, hitting dealerships from Central Floridas west coast to the east coast. Facebook page helped to recover all five stolen vehicles. Both authorities and Business Owners want help putting the rest of the ring behind bars. Deputies tell us her blood alcohol level was more than three times the legal limit. She was charged with driving under the influence with property damage. A drunk driver is blamed for teacher. Caroline died in the hospital today. She was on life support since early sunday morning. She and her boyfriend were driving home from a date in Pinellas Park when police say 31yearold Bryce Mccloud ran a red light on park boulevard and smashed into their car. Police are bracing for what could be another long, hot summer night of unrest in milwaukee, wisconsin. Milwaukees mayor issued a 10 00 p. M. Curfew for teenagers. Reporter riot police squared off with violent crowds for the second night in milwaukee. It pushed into the early hours of monday morning. Police report 30 incidents of shots fired on sunday alone. At least one person was treated for injuries. It brought the total to 12 officers injured, some seen limping away after being hit by bricks. A total of 7 businesses have been burned or destroyed in the riots. This is the police. Leave reporter officers dodge bricks, bullets and bottles thrown by a crowd brimming with anger over the death of 23yearold sylville smith, a young black suspect fatally shot by a black officer on saturday. They say smith was armed with a fully loaded semiautomatic gun and did not comply with an order to drop his weapon when he fled on foot during the fatal traffic stop. He had a lengthy criminal record. He was arrested on multiple the victims father spoke out at the scene of his sons death admitting he was a bad influence. Many showed up to city hall tonight to voice their opinion at a public meeting. At times that meeting got pretty heated. Residents are just not sold on the tree course here at the highlands rec complex. They say maybe somewhere else, but just not here. In fact, one nearby homeowner went as far as to put a sign in opposition complete with the International Symbol for a word i cant say on tv, but its that onefinger salute. Its based in bradenton. The early birds out in force today as voting for floridas primaries started in Hillsborough County. Lots of sign waving and shouting going on there. There are early signs tonight that turnout for this election floridians decide races for local offices and u. S. Senate. Evan axelbank who is always all over politics and live at the county center in downtown tampa. Thats one of the 16 early voting sites in hillsborough. Whats the story tonight . Reporter this by this, from two years ago turnout is up 25 and from four years ago the turnout is up 50 . Thats incredible. We spoke to voters in carrollwood and east tampa. Many say its a high interest election cycle because it teams like a lot is at stake. Many hope Republican Marco Rubio will remain in the senate because they want him to run for president again. They say his opponent was better because he carries the trump mantle. Then we also heard from democrats who supported patrick murphy, a congressman from palm beach, because of the president s endorsement of him. They want to go against the grain. Either way, early voting has become a hit with 1900 people voting today compared to only 1250 on the first day two years ago. You want to beat the crowds, and theres no reason to wait. If theres issues with your drivers license or identification, you have time to really correct those issues. I think you should come out and vote, period. I just voted early because ill be working on election day. One of the beauties of early voting is that early voting site, and we will print your ballot ho demand. We produce your specific balance allot at the 16 early vote sites around the county, which is different from election day where you must vote in the precinct that you reside in because thats where your ballot is waiting for you. Reporter after this first day of early voting, Hillsborough County is on pace for 26,000 to cast early votes in the county before it ends. Nearly 50,000 have already about 800,000 are registered and 6 have already voted and we have weeks of early voting to go and plus we have the primary day itself. There are 16 early voting sites around the county. They will be open until the sunday before primary day, which is tuesday, august 30th.
