Two weeks ago, sebastians life changed forever when a family trip to orlando quickly ended up in the hospital. Today at a news conference, his doctor and mom were there to explain how sebastian was diagnosed, treated, and ultimately started to recover. He ended up at Florida Hospital in orlando. When doctors learned that he had recently been swimming in fresh was the brain eating amoeba. Man i had to tell them to say their goodbyes. Tell him everything. I have treated amoeba cases in the past and theyre all severely marginal, fatal. This is a story that we need to tell about sebastian. Then the doctors lowered his body temperature to just 33 degrees to slow down the amoeba and they kept him in a medically induced coma for three days until lab results showed no sign of infection.
