He is the former lapd officer who led authorities on a days long manhunt after allegedly killing four people. On Facebook Dorner claimed the murders were revenge killings for being let go from the force. The hunt endd a shootout with officers preventive the cabin went up in flames. In virginia, the search is on for a killer after Alexandria Police ruled the death of a 94yearold man a homicide. Elmer rohrs was found dead inside his holly street home on wednesday in what appeared to be a violent attack. No arrests have been made in this case, but police have arrested a woman for robbing the home last november. President obama will be at the white house this morning to honor 18 people with the 2012 president ial citizens medal. Its the second highest civilian honor in the nation and given to those who perform extraordinary acts to help their fellow citizens. We are monitoring metro this morning and the agencys Real Estate Committee has approved a deal that could allow a new fbi headquarters to be built in prince georges county. Metro owns 78 acres at the green dll belt station and wants to sell that to a developer. In return the developer would build the headquarters. The fbi is looking for a new location, saying the building in d. C. No longer works. The offer from metro is not sitting well with lawmakers in other jurisdictions, though hoping to lure the fbi. One Fairfax County supervisor says it appears metro is unfairly lobbying on behalf of prince georges county. In alexandria today city leaders will give an update on plans to revamp the citys waterfront. Efforts have been under way now for a wiel to bring new retail and restaurant options to that popular area in oldtown, but they have been met with opposition from residents who worry about increased traffic and some other potential problems. So i think by 4 00 or 5 00 today were going to start to see some showers move in, and, again, i think later tonight, 9 00, 10 00, as the cold air starts to rush in behind it, there is the possibility that we could see a transition from a little rain to a little snow shower activity and there could be some light accumulations by early tomorrow morning, maybe a covering of snow, maybe upwards to an inch in a few spots. Bheas going to happen this whats going to happen this weekend . The weekend forecast is a very complicated one because were watching an area of low pressure thats developing along that frontal boundary coming through tonight. Theres some indication that its going to be close enough during the day tomorrow that it could throw some snow back towards the Washington Area by saturday afternoon, so parts of the area, particularly lower Eastern Shore at greatest risk here for some snow during the afternoon tomorrow. Its all about where that area of low pressure sets up and we just dont Mother Nature just not showing her cards yet. Were not sure exactly where that area of low pressure is going to set up, but it is certainly possible we could see an area of low pressure on saturday afternoon and that could bring snow to the area, very little snow. Could be some measurable snow for parts of the area late tomorrow and tomorrow night. So definitely keep watching the forecast here in the next 24 hours or so. 54 today.
