Prison Officials Say they found the 27yearold around 3 05 this morning in a statement they said hernandez was single cell and hung sim self with bed sheet he attached to his cell wip dough attempted to block his door from the inside by jamming the door with various items. Officials tried to revive him eventually he was transported to the hospital where he was pronounced dead just after 4 00 this morning. Spokesman for the prison are not away of any suicide notes written boy hernandez. Police investigation is underway. Hernandez was serving live sentence for the 2013 murder of odom lloyd on friday he was acquacquitted of 2012 double mur homicide in boston. Hernan same day his former team is due here in wads. The video the channel is called daddy zero five and features a maryland family parents and two five kids excuse me and they have more than 700,000 subscribers and millions of views and they are basically receiving a lot of backlash for these harsh pranks they do on their children and then posting them on youtube. Many of the viewers are a cueing them of exploiting their kids, abusing them for the sake of their jokes and clicks. Early this morning this video youre looking at they posted it. New video basically apologizing but also saying that, you know, this entire situation has gone way too far over what they are calling fake youtube pranks and that the recent backlash has put their family in real serious danger. Even saying that theyve received death threats. Now, lets watch the original video that spark all of this outrage and public concern. That video got hundreds of thousands of views and in this video the parents play a joke on their nineyearold son cody and it ends up leaving him crying hysterically. You can see him clearly distraught during the stunt. His mom explains at the beginning of this video cody had gotten into trouble for spilling ink on their carpet they shut it would be funny to trick him by spraying disappearing ink and blaming it for him much its laced with profanity and screaming many possible are osan agree after watching this they commented on their site negative feedback and a lot of hate and so yesterday youtube actually removed this video stating it violated its policy on harassment and shortly after the family released a statement that youre looking it says in part we deeply apologize for your feelings of concern. Letting us know about it and also asking for us to look into Child Protective Services because they felt that they needed to step in and investigate. So we reach out to both cps in Montgomery County as well as maryland to elaborate on comment in video posted by the family they say or they claim that they were investigated and cleared. So this is obviously a talker a lot of people questioning the parenting decision that is were made and also the psychological longterm effects of this nineyearold and the other children involved because theres four others. But, you know, this continues to be a talker. Family just released this about five hours and weve been watching the number grow more and more people watching but you can see on this oneness disable the comments on this recent one. They also mention in this video guys they continue they will continue to make these types of videos but just change the tone and the style so perhaps maybe theyll back off doing those harsh pranks. But as you know, people do monetize these videos and make money and this family is make money off their videos and the more you click, the more you subscribe or more subscribers you have, the higher the rev revenue. You see all these dont kill yourself posters up on the wall, they werent up before. They put them up because she killed herself. And why did she do it . Because the kids here treated her like bleep. Thats enough. No one wants to admit they paint over the bathrooms and put up a memorial thats kind of school this is. Everyone is so nice until they drive to you kill yourself. Sooner or later the truth will come out. Pretty powerful. The show premiered in late march and it was a binge favorite for many millennials the show received rave reviews from critics and audiences, it struck a nerve with Mental Health experts for the way portrays teen anx the and suicide. This morning we wanted to talk to an expert about how to talk to your teens if they watch the show. Or have questions about the topic or maybe even know someone who is gone through a similar situation. Earlier this morning i sat down with dr. Andrea bon eighty three a clinical psychologist to get some so when you very first heard about the premise of the show what were your initial thoughts . Yeah, my initial thoughts were thats great for us to be talking more about suicide and the risk of suicide because it is some people consider an epidemic in some demographics. You know, among young teenagers, youg adults, the second leading cause of death. We know this happens too often. We know all too often we dont talk about it. The problem is, we do need to be very careful in the ways that we do talk about it, so that we dont sort of sensationalize or glorify it, and actually increase the risk of someone committing suicide. Thats the criticism the show is getting the backlash. Yes. Have you seen some of it. Ive seen some of it. Its gripping. Yes. Its gripping. Its disturbing. Yes. So after you saw a few episodes, what was your take on it . I mean my thought it does really good job of explaining and exploring the emotional aftermath of a suicide. I mean we get that feeling. That message of just left hyped. That is there. I think one of the issues, though, that is most concerning is that it doesnt really seem to address, okay, heres an alternative. Heres whats out there. Heres what depression is all about. Heres the treatment we have for depression. Here are the signs beforehand that someone might be depressed. Heres really the alternative path that we can think about and heres what Mental Health practitioners do. Heres what therapeutics is all about. All of that i think if that were explicated more would make me feel a little bit less conc concerned. Because there are vulnerable folks who might be a little extra motivated to think about suicide if they thought mainly only of the emotion impact afterwards being there be thinking of me, people will be remembering me, and a little bit less about heres the lifeline. Heres what we can do for you now while youre alive to actually help you feel better. The thing that struck me it doesnt really give copying strategies for people yes. Thats the key, right . Yes. People are going have them. But how do we go about copying so that they dont follow through with it . My next question though is, what age do you think should be watching this show . Yeah. In terms of actually watching it, i think that is, you know, nothing before teenage years i would think because against i think the risk of the sensation liesing is little too high. Nonetheless, i think the discussion of these issues, the discussion of depression, of Substance Abuse self harm any of sign that is teenager can be in trouble should start early. Late Elementary School for instance. So as a parent, how frank should you be when youre talking gentleman war the things specifically you should talk about with your kid and spes earl physical youre a parent im assuming you need to know that your child is watching this show. You do need to know and i think first you need to meet them where. That some kids might have heard what the word suicide is or have very specific ideas of what that means the so you can say heres what you know. Heres how to not go over your head and over well many you but heres how to meet you where you are. Start talking about, you know, what it means in your friends if you think that theyre unhappy, how would you know to be worried about a friend . What does Mental Health mean . How do you know that somebody is themselves versus not themselves . How can you tell somebody is not taking care of themselves. What does hopelessness look like . Really look like. So my question is because i think a lot of times, you know, parents are shocked theyre like i didnt see this coming. Umhmm. Friends will say that. What are the signs that parents need to look for, friends need to look for to know that someone might be in trouble . Yeah Cardinal Rule is changes in behavior. Changes in eating patterns. Isolation that was not there before. Getting more and more withdrawn. Increased irritability increased impulse have the and risk taking is a really big factor. Expressing hopelessness. Expressing that youre a burden to other so severe shame. Severe guilt. All of those things are really some things to Pay Attention to that can be red flags that somebody really is in so much pain theyre thinking of not being here any more. So then you see those signs. Umhmm. Next question is, what do you do . What are the resources yes do you go for help. The first thing is to not be afraid of asking direct thoughts about risk of suicide. So many of us shy away from this. Were terrified that maybe well put the thought in someones head. Theres no evidence that that happens. So its, much wiser to say point blank how tell me more about your thoughts. Have you had thoughts of hurting yourself . Have you had thoughts of ending your life . How bad have things gone . Because especially then you can actually get more clear. If theyve expressed thoughts of hopelessness to the extent of depression that feels overwhelming, you know, the first place to start is maybe with a pediatricians recommendation for psychiatrists and psycho therapists you want to maybe explore the possibility of medication but also really can measure with to talk a therapist that they can actually not just the medication route which may be a possibility but also for them to be able to open up with somebody they trust thats a safe area for them to talk about these feelings. Also, a therapy can look for warning signs for frequently with regular visits, more so than a psychiatrist who usually might do med checks only every couple of months. The problem shes in relationship with christians character who is an american journalist. Covering the what is about to be world war one. War breaks out. And the turkish government decides the armenian population are the enemy and they need to be moved and they need to be egg terminated, and that began the Armenian Genocide 1. 5 million armenians perish. And so, yes, there is this love story but really is an exploration of that that bit of history that is so horrible and so little known in the west i know you guys have probably had to talk about this a thousand times is, ill just ask you is the question mention to draw attention to the Armenian Genocide in a way that makes people realize what happened because the backlash seems to have, you know, been in a targeted effort before the movie even came out so many intentional negative reviews trying to perhaps keep the movie from coming out. Well, you know, people have tried to stop this film from being made for many years and thats why it took self finance to get it done even he ran mgm himself three different times. Couldnt get it done even then. Even with the reviews there was one screening with a few hundred people and i think there was Something Like 30,000 reviews came out. Now, you know, thats not particularly important. But if you imagine being a Family Member whos gone through the pain of witnessing their own family slaughtered and some of the most barbaric fashion and then having theyre that never happened that is incredibly poignant and the fact that people have to deal that for hundred years. Hopefully that can shine light and truth on the fact this was genocide and hopefully start some healing. 100 of the proceeds from this film going towards charities that do just that. Charities who look at human rights abuses, charities that look at genocide al activity and try to hold people accountable for that. So hopefully this can never happen again. Now the writers are saying that theyre not being paid enough because networks are ordering fewer episodes per season. Than they have in the past film makers say studios are making fewer movies. So therefore thats cutting their money if they have less work. Now the Writers Guild represents about 12,000 film and tv writers. This is a film about british explorer and see nanny miller in the film she plays a very Strong Female character, and what i love about this character a moment in the movie hunnam is out exploring and he leaves the children and the wife behind so she basically these raise the kids on her own. I wanted to talk to her about this idea hares hill this line in the film he says to her, you know, we are similar in mind as in mail and female but not similar in body and then see nanny miller her character responds with, woe, woe, wait, you have no idea what pain is until youve delivered a baby. So i spoke to her about this line that she said as a mother theres a very profound answer that that line meant to her. Watch this. Theres great moment in the movie you talk about childbirth, and it got the whole theater like was like cheering when you said that line. Did they cheer. Its a great line. Really. Because you dont think about it charlies character says to you were in the same in mind but not in body you mentioned that like, wait until youll never know what it feels like to give birth to a child. When you say a line like that as a mom, is there something powerful about that moment for you as just an actress but also as a person . You know theres something powerful about having a child and in that moment realizing what youre body is capable of. Hmm. Versus what a mans body is capable of. And what a woman goes through to raise and to grow a human in that body and deliver a human to the earth. And women are not treated as equals to men and it becomes the time high a child i had a sense of feminism once i gave birth to my daughter i was just laughing. The world is insane. Because we are the super heroes i agree. I think that women can tolerate pain endure pain for longer periods of time than men york. I think were designed that way. Thats why we have that role. One thing i found fascinating the time frames when charlies character is away from you and were not seeing you on screen but when he gets back theres such emotional wait to what youve been through in that time period. Im wondering as an actress do you build that in . For example if thats not in the script, do you build in what happened in those years for yourself like do you have stories and how the kids grew up . Do you do that as an actress. . You try to fill in as many blanks. In any film or any play when i walk into a room i imagine where ive come from. No one walks into the room with the same energy they would if theyd just been standing outside waiting to come in. You have to make the world around you as real as possible. And in this film the children were growing up. And there was a life going on. She was a suffrage etch she was always working behind the scenes to find evidence to prove what her husband was searching for and she was incredibly influential and important to his story. But she also wasnt just a wife, you know, there was something incredibly brave and dignified about how she accepted her role and against things that were unjust but was p matriarch al. I loved her. Its amazing we are the only ago gray hood in the Capital Region with our own farm and Culinary Program i greated right into the community. Its so much fun to work all of this came from your gore den. You even got your own chickens and everything. So what are you guys going to be doing this weekend. Its a big garden. Some might call that a farm. Any way, what are you going to be doing this weakened. This weekend well do a progress lunch coming out for spring and well have 15 model homes, two Information Centers open. And were going to have various dishes these are two of them were doing here. As part of the progressive lu lunch. Good all right. Lets give people an idea of what they can grow in that are garden and whip newspaper this wonderful dish. Pot pie is just so flexible. You can take advantage of any vegetable in any season. I break it down into a couple of different groups. You need green vegetable. Could be a asparagus the very first of the season. Are yellow flowers naturally on the broccoli really sweet and delicious. You need orange vegetable. Carrots, sweet potatoes, winter squash whatever you like and then we have all these spring greens coming into season. You can do kale. Charred and rainbow charred with all those colors you need something thats garlic key. These are garlic chives. Traitional garlic shall lots something from that family super easy. The more vegetables you put in here the better. Youll look like a rock star if you put a ton of vegetables we put quite a bit of spoke paprika in and farm chili peppers it gives a meaty flavor. If you want to add chicken you can actually potometer meat into it. Well mix up a little thicken the milk and this is seasonalled milk with tarragon. I was going to say theres stuff in your milling. Theres stuff if my milk. [ laughter ] okay. Theyre stuff in my milk. Season that up. Season that up with some thyme and salt, pepper, nutmeg, heat that up. Make a nice base for the Chicken Pot Pie. Thanks and well put this in here. I told to making this all. She tolly is integral. Here is our pot pie base. Umhmm. Well let that cool. Only got about a minute. Make sure we get it. Once its cooled we go to here. Its totally flexible if you want to put biscuits on top. You what tom put pie crust on top. She makes it look real he will easy. It is really easy. When you have everything in its place. When youre an expert and everything in your hands. Put little pie crust on there. If theres left over filling you can make pot pie fritter.
