Somber start to the new year for students at howard high school. This after their classmate 16 yard charlotte was shot and killed inside her home this weekend. Fox 5 Melanie Alnwick is live outside with how shes being remembered and honored. Reporter this whole incident is just so bee wildering to people who knew 16yearold charlotte. Shes certainly being mourned this morning by teacher and her fellow students, they say she was the kind of person who was active in the community. Loved to volunteer, and always brought a smile with her and hard time coming to term with this shooting. Many of her friends now posting on social media, as a way to work through their grief, sharing pictures, and memories of charlotte. It was 2 00 a. M. Sunday when Howard County police raced to the home on noel glen road. Her mother heard a scuffle in her daughters bedroom, when susan went to check it out. She found a 15yearold boy with a gun in her daughters bedroom. Should you shot by the boy who shot her daughter, charlotte and shot himself. Charlotte was medivaced to the hospital but did not survive. Susan was treated and released. I havent cried yet but ive wanted to throw up all day. Is that the sort of lessons you give to people, trust yourself and believe in yourself this book is about helping people stay motivated. A lot of times people just chase their dreams and start out fast but start to dwindle down. So this book is about staying inspired and given tools and tricks on helping people stay inspired, motivated and encouraged. I had to do it. You go to auditions. Its all about staying motivated. I dont want to give away the trade secrets but if theres one tip you can share with us about how to keep the fire burning when you get the rejection . Maybe not the first, second but the 10th one, how do you keep it the best thing is t it. And plan on having, when you hear that note. And also, just stay creative. You know, do other things that would help challenge you. Im writing the book was like that outlet for me. So if i went to audition and didnt get the role i was like ok, i get to go home and work on this book what keep you motivated. A lot of people would say your life is charmed. Done things, been places, what keeps you motivated. To say ive had set backs im going to write this book and show what ive learned. There has to be something there that kept you going i got have he blessed to have a beautiful baby girl, i got to do what i got to do for her. I hear you. That keeps me motivated. And just wanting to make it to the top i have a 5yearold, and when you have that child your whole prospective changes. With the book, who hoping to reach . Theres a lot of self help books and people have so many choices. All the wine, all the christmas food just start with the basic. If you thinking about i need t but its too hard. Just think about going for a walk. Start with light cardio. Go for a walk, ten, 15 minutes, turn on the tv on the tread mill, have a conversation with somebody next to you. Before you know it, 30 minutes will go by. You talk on the phone while youre Walking Around. Show me a move if youre in the office and you get a lunch break and want to do cardio to wake up its best for people that work behind a desk is 60 minutes go by, try to set your alarm on your phone or a fit bit or anything, as soon as your alarm goes off, bounce straight up and down.
