rain. you can see it developing to the west and eastern ohio and another little batch that's now each of richmond. but that's just fired up in the last hour or so and this is all because of some subtropical moisture, some tropical moisture across the northern gulf is going to stream north into slightly cooler and drier air later today and tonight and that could spark off more showers and thunderstorms. i think for the morning commute, we're going to be fine but in the afternoon hours look out for the potential for some heavy rain in the form of some thunderstorms. the flash flood marks the end of the 30-year-old space shuttle program which began with columbia in 1981. but weather remains a concern and everyone is keeping their fingers crossed for the skies to clear and all systems go. for launch our main concern is still having showers and thunderstorms in the area. >> so with that we have a 70% chance of weather prohibiting launch. >> reporter: this will be the 135th the box office. movie reviewer kevin mccarthy joins us next after the break. welcome back. the new dark comedy "horrible bosses" is anything but horrible according to movie reviewer kevin mccarthy with 106.7 the fan. hi. >> hi, i can honestly say i've never, ever had the thought of killing my boss. everyone's had negative thoughts about the bosses, but not to this extreme though. i love my bosses, i really do. everything is cool. >> there are all kinds of things that people would think about. if i would walk in there and say that? but this is even worse. >> they basically set it up for you to basically hate the bosses, this is been a very good year for r-rated comedies, generally they want to make pg- 13 comedies, but after "the hangover" success which became the highest grossing r-rated comedy of all time. "hangover 2" is now the highest of all time and bridesmaids is the highest female. "hall pass" and "friends with benefits." it's so much fun. but "horrible bosses," there's three guys and that is basically "the hangover" formula. you take three guys in a chaotic situation and you essentially let the hilarity play out. watching the guys scramble around killing their bosses because they're three average guys, just three guys who have no experience in any criminal aspectings. they have fun and it's crazy watching them try and pull this off. now jason bateman and then the bosses, the bosses are the best part of the movie. jennifer aniston. kevin spacey, colin farrell is unrecognizable in the movie. but jennifer aniston, the best role she's ever played and only on screen for 20 minutes in this film. you will not believe the ears the words that are coming out of her mouth. some of the most vulgar, vile, raunchy dialogue you've ever heard her say. you will not be able to watch "friends" the same way again. >> definitely different than the usual parts she played. >> i think she likes that departure. there's nothing better than for an actor the step out of the box and actually go into a role she's dreamed of playing. i don't know if she teemed of saying all -- dreamed of saying all the curse words. charlie say from always sunny in philadelphia. he's very funny in the movie. the believable aspect of it. sometimes you're wondering are the guys really going to do in and would they ever actually come up with this plan? there are times when id wonder is this really you know, going on? but three and a half out of five. >> that's not bad. sounds like a good one. we have another one to talk about real briefly. "zoo keeper." >> now again, only available screening for this for me was midnight last night. i couldn't motorcycle it. six hours -- make it, six hours ago. but essentially looked like paul blart meets kevin do little. i'm sure the kids will love the talking animals and i'll see it this week and have a review for you next friday. people are in the middle of summer right now. some movies that are out there that are really worth seeing, some that are just funny. you've got the top five. >> these are five movies that i want people to go see in theaters. these are five movies you know, some of the movies are just fun and fun experiences. "super 8" is great. "tramplers dark of the moon 3d." you have to see this in 3d. michael bay shot the movie in 3d unlike movies that are converted from 2 d to 3d. you want to see it that michael bay created with the action themes. "midnight in paris." that is woody allen's best movie in years, do not read anything about the plot line and don't watch the trailers. go in cold. >> why the. >> because it's an experience like you've never seen before. when you walk into the movie and how great it is to walk into a movie and not know what's going on? i love watching the story unfold and watching woody tell the story with owen wilson and rachel mcadams. "bridesmaids." >> i haven't seen it. >> you have to see this. >> i know, i will. i promise i will. i have seen a lot of extended clips. there's one of the bridesmaids -- that one of the characters who just looks absolutely hysterical. >> melissa mccarthy. she steals the whole movie. from the show called "mike and molly" i believe. and then finally, "x-men: first class," the nerds here and go see that one. that's a really good flick. those are the five picks to see this weekend. >> nerd tears. that's becoming quite the thing for you. >> that's correct and by the way i interviewed the cast of "horrible bosses," i will tweet the interview out on twitter, bdk reviews on twitter. uncensored and not safe for work. be careful watching it. vs. very, very raunchy. >> kevin, thank you. back to you guys. >> raunchy the world of the day. >> i think we're going to have a raunchy forecast with all this. >> that's a great way to put it. we've got a lot to talk about and might be a good day to go to the movies and late tonight with rain on the horizon, or the potential of it. the look at the beach forecast, let's go to the maps and let me mention. i know at lot of people going down to the beach. we can just hang out together -- there we go. finally. yes. the beach forecast. let me mention that later today and tonight, there'll be a period of heavy rain that will get to the lower eastern shore and you too with under the flash flood watch. be ready for that. by tomorrow morning the rain will be hanging tough but i think tomorrow afternoon the sunshine should break out and sunday looks beautiful. ocean city and bethany beach. rain later this afternoon into tomorrow morning and then improvement by sunday with highs by sunday in rehoboth about 86. 74 degrees in the water temperature. so when the sunshine breaks out that will be nice. here we go, rain showers and thunderstorms now breaking out to the south and to the south and west and they will develop during the course of the day. to the west, cooler and drier air, you can see with that firing up some showers and thunderstorms out to the west and there's an area of low pressure here trying to develop into a tropical system. but either way it's pulling a lot of moisture up the eastern seaboard. we're going to get a squeeze play later this afternoon with the potential for a lot of rain and the potential for slow moving thunderstorms that can dump heavy rain across the area. right now 77 degrees, the dew point temperatures running in the 700s. there's a lot of moisture available and again we could get a couple of inches of rain here in a short amount of time. flash flood watch into effect at noon. plenty of clouds, scattered showers and thunderstorms returning. they could be heavy rain producers with the high temperature after 86 degrees. winds out of the south at about 5 to 10 miles per hour. later tonight let's do the early shower or thunderstorm úand overgho toghafter midnight. we should start to clear out with the overnight low of 71 and there's the seven day forecast. early shower hanging tough tomorrow with tomorrow afternoon. great sunshine. we should be mostly sunny by mid to late morning and there you go. 91 with sunshine on sunday so the forecast gets better but we've to get through a wet one later today. >> all right. tucker, thank you. >> all right, it is time for -- and the weather guy. >> what happened -- >> here it is. >> i'm like where's the crackle of thunder? >> firing on all slippedders today. >> the magnificent tony perkins and i put our heads together to answer your most pressing questions weather related of otherwise, we've got two questions this morning both about the crazy dust storm in arizona. the first is from matt walters who wants to know, can there be a tornado or tornadoes in a dust storm? the second question is from cat wilson who writes how did the dust storm start and is there any footage of the back end of a dust storm? joining me now is tony perkins. >> all of the answers? i have some of the answers, the first one about the tornado in a dust stormment not really. you know -- storm. not really. you know, i can figure out why you would ask that because there are similar conditions that exist with the strong winds and tall kinds of stuff and here's the footage from the dust storm. that had not be good. but no tornadoes in a dust storm. however, they do -- they can spawn what's called a dust devil. which kind of looks like a tornado. not exactly the same. it is is a vertical uplift of air. but it's a dust devil, it's made of the dust and all the debris that's flying around in the dust storm. those do not ty to tornado strength. but i mother, they look similar -- you know, they look similar and you will see that in a dust storm. >> terrible name. >> it's appropriate really. what was the other question? >> i don't remember any longer. >> the footage of the dust storm in arizona -- how does the dust storm start? >> here's what happened, there was a big storm -- let's set the stage here. arizona is already an arid place and they've been experiencing pretty extreme dry conditions. we talked about the wildfires in portions of new mexico and arizona the last couple of weeks, extremely dry there. a thunderstorm got going in tucson early afternoon the day of the dust storm and the winds associated with the thunderstorm as they were pushing out of the storm were aprepping 70 miles per hour. -- approaching 70 american. that set the stage as the -- miles per hour. that set the stage as the system continued to push north with the winds gusting at times 50, 60, sometimes 70 miles per hour. picking up the dust and topsoil along the landscape there in arizona. >> what's interesting though -- you were doing some additional research and there's some thought that the recession actually made this worse. >> fascinating. >> how? >> because a lot of land that was populated or fertile or what have you has been left to just kind of sit dry. or go dry. and so there was more sand and dust for the storm to work with. they were staying this was one of -- saying this was one of the worst dust storms in 100 years and the reason is because there was more -- there wasn't vegetation to -- and there weren't homes and all that kind of stuff to hold some of that dust down. so -- they made it worse. >> fascinating. >> apparently a lot of the farmland has been abandoned because people aren't making a profit out of it anymore. they let it go the the topsoil created the terrible dust storm. but fascinating stuff. >> is there a back end of it?
