this morning, the hunt is on for the woman who stabbed a female passenger on board a metrobus. d.c. police say the women got into an argument around 2:00 yesterday afternoon while on the livingston a8 bus route. the stabbing happened at the intersection of chesapeake and sixth in southeast. the victim's injure usc are not considered life-threatening. animal control officers have arrested the director of the reston zoo after a five- month-long investigation. 26-year-old megan mogenson is charged with animal cruelty and possession of a controlled substance. she is accused of improperly treating a sick wallaby at the zoo. there were allegations that animals had been improperly euthanized. a lawyer early, maryland family is mourning the loss of their loved one killed in afghanistan. eugene mills i. i was killed friday in combat operations in the hell monde province. his body is being returned to dover air force base where his parents will receive it. another show of support for the outgoing president of the university of virginia. about 1500 people gathered for a rally yesterday afternoon. some students and faculty say the board of visit irs asked theresa sullivan to resign court hasn't given even the smallist hint which way it will rule. republicans and decembers are getting ready to hear the ruling on the federal health care overhaul. the jews could rule as early as tropical storm debby is dumbing heavy rains in parts of florida. the storm is nearly stationary right now but flooding is a major concern. residents in counties along the gulf coast are being urged to leave low-highing areas. debby is reported to have maximum sustained winds of 06 miles per hour but the rain is the real problem. over the weekend, a tornado touched down in naples. luckily, no one there was hurt. >> friday, we had our own veer weather, these microbursts were something. >> couple of areas with strong downbursts. -- friday, we had our own severe weather. >> it is on the the wind but is the rain-making capacity of the storm. they will be measuring the rain in feet there in the next couple of days. >> southern georgia now getting in on it too. >> and it is possible that parts of the florida panhandle, georgia, alabama, mississippi could see up to two feet of rain. so it will be a problem down there. you can see the heaviest rain is in florida and the northeast side of florida, southern and eastern georgia getting in on it. it is just being pulled here up from the gulf of mexico. the actual center of circulation right about there. all that moisture being pulled up into florida. this will continue to be a big story. maximum winds just updated a few miles ago, 50 miles per hour and the movement is stationary. forecast to be eventually pushed up into the florida east coast than they are around the globe. the #00 mile area goes from cape hatteras, north carolina to just north of boston. sea levels in the region have been rising at an annual rate that is three to four times faster than the rest of the world. levels in norfolk, virginia have jumped five inches since 1990. the global average is two inches. scientists are blaming the rise on climate change. another new study is shining light on internet use by teenagers. some parents may not like what it found. >> a growing number of kids are hiding their digital habits from mom and dad. we have a report. >> reporter: 70% of teenagers have hidden their online behavior from their parents. this is up from 45% only two years ago. nearly halfful all parents believe their kids are honest about what they do online but the numbers paint a different picture. >> one out of four parents are oblivious to how the digital devices work. and the kids, they grew one this. this is what they know. it is that lack of information on the parents' behalf. >> reporter: it is what teenagers are apparently lying about that is a concern. more than half surveyed admitting to illegally hacking into social network accounts and get this, over 60% of teenagers claim to have witnessed digital bullying, something that is getting a lot of media attention in recent years. >> we see sign are bullying. it has grown and changed over time. the fact that there is a cyberenvironment so it is now something that thousands or millions of people you don't know can react to. >> reporter: it seems pornography has become the newly boy under the mattress with more than 30% of teenagers viewing the graphic videos on a weekly basis. >> as much as half of them are viewing pornography once a week. >> reporter: kids are outsmarting their parents, take the wool over their eyes. they clean the browser history, closing or minimizing the browser when a parent walks n hiding or deleting ims, lying or omitting details about their online activities and using a come pout are their parents don't check. >> it is important they have dialogue. they explain to them that it is their job as parents to protect this child our area, it is definitely a little less painful at the pump. in virginia, prices have dropped six cents in the past week. the average is now $3.22. in d.c., it is $3.53. and x-ray machine caught fire at new york city's la guardia airport over the weekend causing a brief evacuation. the flames were quickly extinguished and no one was hurt although three port authority officers were treated for smoke inhalation. passenger screening in terminal c resumed within an hour. that terminal is used by delta and u.s.er ways. congress will vote this week on whether to hold u.s. attorney general eric holder in contempt. s that because he has not provoided the information over operation fast and furious some members of congress want. over the weekend, house oversight committee chairman darryl issa and elijah cummings discussed the upcoming contempt vote. david rosen has more. >> reporter: congressman darryl issa, the republican chairman of the house oversight committee told fox news he has no evidence the obama white house was involved in approving fast and furious or in trying to cover it up. but issa added he hopes the scandal, quote, stays at justice. attorney general eric holder has refused to turn over some documents to the house committee and president obama last week asserted executive privilege to keep it that way. issa says he expects even some democrats to join the republicans in voting this week to hold the attorney general in contempt of congress if no accommodation is reached. the scandal broke open when a u.s. border patrol agent was killed. they found two of of the guns that were allowed to flow to the mexican cartels. the ranking democrat on issa's committee has accused the republicans of politics over the facts and the law. >> it is regrettable we are here and we would like for not be hereen and if the president and attorney general holder would simply start producing the documents they know they could produce to us that are not by any means going to be covered by executive privilege, this could be delayed or even eliminated. >> i think that i'm calling on speaker boehner to come forth and show the strong leadership i know he will and sit down with the attorney general to resolve this matter. attorney general has made it clear that he is willing to work with this congress. >> the justice department has acknowledged that some of the information it has provided to congress on fast and furious turned out to be inaccurate. in washington, james rosen, fox news. the controversy surrounding a new york bus monitor has encouraged other bus drivers and monitors to stand up to bullying on buses. ever spes a video of karin klein went viral, the issue has been thrust into the national spotlight. to honor klein and her colleagues, amall tomorrow or he will ask for the entire board's resignations. one member of that board has already stepped down. fire crews in seven counties battled a raging 30- acre brushfire in kent island. it starred in a densely planted free farm. more than 60 people were evacuated from their homes. everyone got out safely. firefighters got the blaze contained in about 12 hours. one firefighter was slightly hurt. none of the homes was destroyed. investigators are look into whether firework sparked this fire. montgomery county police say a pedestrian is in serious condition after being hit by a tractor-trailer. this happened in silver spring about 6:00 last night at the intersection at georgia avenue and colesville road. the driver immediate hi stopped. he was not injured. police in montgomery county still haven't made any decision on an arrest in connection to a giant brawl over the weekend. investigators say it started with an argument between two women at a gaithersburg club on muddy branch road early sunday morning. and it didn't take long before about 100 people got involved in the festival shopping center's parking lot. one person was shot and five others stabbed. none
