Our top story this morning, a day of yard work takes a tragic turn in virginia as a teenager was shocked by a power line and killed while trimming a neighbors tree. It happened around 7 00 last night on barrett street in fairfax. Investigators say a tree branch fell on a power loon. He went out doing what he loved. You know, he passed away doing something that was his passion. We always recommend people stay at least 10 feet away from power lines when theyre working. When in you out to the, they should consult an expert. Neighbors say the boy was getting ready to start his senior year at fairfax high school. Now to a story that you are only going to see on fox 5. It was a frightening trip home for a 1yearold boy on his first day school. Jeremy glover was told to hop a ride home on a van contracted by the School System because the department of transportation yellow bus that brought limb to school was apparently late, something the School System now denies. That driver reportedly detoured from his original route and dropped glover off at his home two hours late. Police are now awaiting autopsy results to try to figure out the cause of death for a woman in virginia but theyre investigating this as a murder. Early monday more than, crews were called to a burning shed near balls bluff road in leases lesaburg and when they got there, they found the body. The woman was identified as 52 yearold core feel Cornelia Marie arnold. Washington times getting a new own are but the editor says another company affiliated with the old owner is buying the paper. The 17yearold was electrocuted last night as he was trying to chop down a neighbors tree. It happened about 7 00 on barrett street in fairfax. Investigators say a tree branch fell against some power lines and that in turn shocked the teenager. He died a short time later at the hospital. Neighbors describe him as the area handy man. I can tell you that this unaffiliated voter issue as a big one considering the number of people in play. That is a considerably large voting block. Unaffiliated simply means the voter has not chosen to register as a democrat or as a republican. And those votes could certainly play a significant role in what has unfolded to be a very tight race. Our attorneys want to get a clarification on whether or not the law that the council passed, whether that allows people who are eat either independent or havent declared any party at all to register as democrats before the election. Well, i think it is a very inappropriate thing to do. I cant imagine that the board of elections and ethics at this point would begin changing rules. Reporter for you the board of elects and ethics did recently change rules to comply with new election laws and they allowed voter to go ahead and register with either party up to august 14th, 0 days before the primary election f you didnt make that deadline, as law stands currently, you were not permitted to cast a ballot.
