satellite radar. look at that. ugly start to the day. clouds across its area. we need rain. probably don't need as much as we'll get in the next several days but it is really feeling in. and in combination of rain we're dealing with cool temperatures. highs today only in the mid up toker 40s as we watch an area of low pressure. we are talking a nor'easter. i'll have more coming up. humidity is up, 86% and there are the winds out of the north and east at 10 miles per hour. gusts of nor'easter. i'll show you that in a bigger radar in just a minute. but rain likely today. cool temperature about 48 degrs. and we'll have more on the forecast, which means more rain and clouds, in a few. as we mentioned, the swine flu hitting close to home now. and it's providing a eye opener. a maryland man thought he had a simple cold and died days later. >> and it's stories like this having people flocking to get the shots. sadly the shots are too late for that maryland man. and gurvir is here now with that story and, wow, when you think he's 45 years old and relatively healthy, it's scary. >> absolutely. because we keep hearing, you should get the shot, no you shouldn't. what is stunning about the story, is that there is a time line. it went down so fast. the hagueers man man had a routine doctors appointment on september 17thp he had a clean bill of health and ten days later he gots a sore throat and not long after that he's died. the man's -- >> we'll get the sound for that piece coming up. >> what i can tell you is that the man's wife says that she is really stunned, because as you mentioned, he had diabetes, he took one pill for diabetes, he went into the hospital and the next thing you know he's hooked up to machines and ten days after getting this cold he's dead. >> and apparently, with the case, the progression was very quick. he went to work that monday, tuesday went to work, but called his wife and can't wait to get home because i'm very tired and then was, like you said, was in the hospital. >> and within ten days he's gone. and his wife wants people to be careful. obviously consult your physician about whether you should or should not get the vaccine. but it's a very scary situation and e wants everybody to be aware of it. >> gurvir, thank you very much. and it's stories like these are part of the reason that people are flocking to get vaccinated. people in prince george's county have their chance. >> sarah simmons joins us live from an elementary school in greenbelt where a vaccine clinic is being held today. >> reporter: that's right. the anyone vaccine will be available here in prince george's county. here at spring hill lake elementary coming up at afternoon today and to talk about who is eligible is dr. donald chow with the prince george's county health department. thanks for coming by today. >> thank you for having me. >> reporter:who is eligible to get the shot and who should get it? we saw over in montgomery county yesterday, the lines of people that were there just a couple of hours before. are you expecting that and if so, how have you prepared for that today? >> we're anticipating a pretty large turnout. we've been here before on previous years participating in the greenbelt community days and we've had manageable crowds in the past, but we're expecting to double and triple our staff to be here to attend to the public. but we want the public to know there will be many opportunities and lokes to get the h1n1 vaccine. this is not the only opportunity. there will be 195 providers in the county that have signed on and we're attempting to get them their medication. they haven't received their shipments, but we will get them. children can be vaccinated in the school system and we don't want to send the sense of urgency because you will have the chance. >> reporter: and it will be last minute when announce some of these, and so where should people go to get the information to know when the next clinic is coming up? one man's quest for justice in the movie law abiding citizen starring jamie foxx. it opens tomorrow but we get an insider's look at the product. joining us now is the director and many other films, f. gary gray and behind other fillps such as friday, the italian job, set it off and the negotiators and several other films. and i have to tell you, and i'm not just saying this because you're here, there are very few previews that i like and this one looks good. tell us about it. >> it's a psychological thriller with jamie foxx. on the surface it feels like a thriller where gerard butler's killer exacts revenge on the system. jamie foxx is the district attorney who handles his case. but it's a chess game between gerard butler and jamie foxx and a fun ride. and there is a lot going on with it. >> it's kind of a race against time in some ways because gerard butler is up to some revenge and jamie foxx is trying to stop it before there is more chaos. >> well gerard butler's character is the victim of a home invasion and his family is murdered and jamie foxx is the district attorney w handled the case and he gaves one of the two murders the equivalent of a slap on the hand, a slap on the wrist, and it doesn't sit well with gerard butler's character. he plans for ten years and he comes back and this plot unravels and you realize that there is so much going on with his plan, it's just pretty amazing. it's hard to describe it, because i don't want to give it away. >> yeah, don't give it away. >> i don't want to give it away. that's a tough one. >> and you mentioned the cast, jamie lee fox, gerard butler and two heavy weights there. >> viola davis. >> and tell me about wking with this cast, and in particular, i'm fascinating with jamie foxx, because he's so good. it seems like he can do anything he wants to do. >> i call him the quadruple threat, he's great at sports, moviesand acting and it's a great friend of mine. so with a person with that much talent as a director, which you love, is the gift that he brings. we improvize certain moments and he comes up with moments that i don't think any writer could come up with, or even a director. and so it's great working with jamie because he's so creative and he's so imaginative and you'll see that in this movie. we also worked with viola davis who was nominated for an oscar this year for doubt and we have an incredible cast. >> i want to talk about a couple of things. you've had extraordinary success as a young director. your first feature film friday hit and a cult classic that people frequentlcite as being one of their favorite. set t off, the negotiates and the italian job. i think of you -- i think you have a significant role in hollywood. as a black director and a town that hasn't always embraced black artists, it's gten better over the years, but frequently black directors seem to get black projects. you are doing whatever it is you decide you want to do, it seems to me, whether it's a black project or not. to what do you attribute that and isn't it unusual? >> from the beginning, i set out to do different projects and i love surfing the genres and i've been fortunate enough to work with producers and executives that -- they gave me a shot and said i see the potential and it was definitely a plan from the beginning to make sure that i wasn't kind of put in box. and like i said, you work with good executive and producers who say, i think this can tell the story and it started with the negotiators and i can only say i've been fortunate. >> well you're doing great work. and you started with music videos, some of my favorite, fantastic voyage, kylieo and waterfall, tlc. so we're happy to have you here. >> thank you for having. and it's important to see it this weekend. >> opening weekend. that's what it's about. law abiding citizen. gerard butler and jamie foxx. thank you. back to you. do you think you have moves like the king of pop? and i said not today. but i'm going to create something for you and your friends and she raised money with her friends selling cupcakes, $600 in 2.5 hours. >> and that's where it starts. and you brought along some tips and symptoms. and i would imagine, is this for young women or just all women? >> the breast cancer early ops? >> yes. >> well there was a bill introduced in march of this year called the breast cancer early act. the goal is to get women under 40 to know your body. that's critical. if the girls do a breast examination at a young age. once they start their cycle, they know what belongs there and what doesn't belong there. and it encouraged them to know their facts about their body and their breasts. it won't all be a lump, it will be a rash, edging, dimping, discoloration. so know what the breast abnormalities might be like. and then to speak up for themselves because often times when you are younger and you go to a doctor, they can -- a lot of women i know are told, you're too young to have breast cancer. >> just not true. >> and it's not true. there are 11,000 women in the u.s. today that are diagnosed annually and of those about 10% lose their lives because of late diagnosis. >> and with the sim tolls, there may be no symptoms, but a lump or thickening in breast, change in shape, flaking, redness or pitting of the breast skin. so those are all good things to know. and you know what, you're right. if we can knock down any sort of -- the stigma of making sure your own body is healthy, maybe we can stop cases. >> the most important thing is early detection. because when i found my lump, they told me i was fine. they said your fine, it's a christ and ignore it. but i knew to do exams at 13 and i knew how my i pushed for a diagnosis. >> and we appreciate you coming here. and noel, thank you for coming up to talk about the tiger lillie gala and 's at the willard. we're pull all of the information on our website. this is the founder and executive director of tiger lillie foundation. thank you again. >> thank you. >> i would like noel to meet my son. they're both 6 years old. very cute. the crisp fall weather may make you feel like singing and dancing. holly morris has traveled to cocky'sville, maryland, where they have a lot going on for fall. i like the new one. >> reporter: you do?
