Look at all a the clouds pulling up into the system and even at the end you begin to see a little l momatus cloud cover. Thats pretty rare for our area. More in a moment where is that storm now . I know not everybody saw it. Ill bet you saw some clouds. Whats left of the storm now as itself weakening considerably is its down over Charles County. At one point this storm was produce 3,000 lightning strikes ever r every zero minutes or so. It still has some pretty heavy rain with it. It has some littenning. Previously it was producing a the look of hail as it came through Northern Virginia and at least one wind gust to 66 miles an hour. Im putting it all in motion. Look at awm of the lightening as it moved first east and then southeast. So just about done county, youre definitely not getting the worst of it and we know many times you do get the worst of it. Back to the momatus clouds i mentioned they were dramatic and what with you are seeing was the storm system theyre pouches hanging down and what you have is cold air inside them. That easies a sign of a very tesh bent storm. Often its a sign that maybe theres a tornado associated with it. Theres no tornadoes reported and the clouds were dramatic and the clouds were appearing as the sun was setting. So there was great light with them and you got a lot of yellow and green in the sky. According to organizations like cost a and peco National Network that held press conferences to support her she was detained by ice and transferred to woodbridge where shes being processed for deportation. Even though she has no criminal background, only a Traffic Violation, according to the org distraught. She has two young children. The father right now is going to the school to let the children know hes going to pick them up early and let them know that what has happened. Everybody is very distraught and were concerned for her and hoping that shes reunited with her family tonight. All of this comes on the heels of new numbers release by ice that show a nearly 40 percent of increase in deportations during trumps 100 days in office compared to the same period in 2016. According to ice those people are known of being in the country illegally. The report of 75 percent of those arrested had criminal offenses ranging from homicides to drug charges, but it also points to data that shows people with no criminal records jumped nearly 150 percent from 4200 in 2016 to 10,800 in 2017. You had previou one, it dropped a lot of hail and now as its pushed off into Charles County its just about out of energy, just a couple of sprinkles left. What is next for us . This is a frontal boundary and that system will be in here tomorrow and if the timing is right and it bumps into a lot of heat and humidity we could chase around a few more tomorrow afternoon some of which could be on the severe side. Bottom line, friday, the bermuda high will be in place. The frontal boundary that i just showed you is going to come to the rescue and as the afternoon and evening goes on the cold front arrives by later in the day and thats when well start to pop some more showers and thunderstormment so keep it p in your plans.
