Reporter police did search his car. They found a significant amount of ammunition. Thats how shay classified it. They found other concerning evidence. They are trying to determine if that ammunition, what it was in the car for, why it was in the car, what it was going to be used for, if anything, and how he was able to obtain this ammunition. Now, also, were told that defendant reportedly wanted to commit suicide by cop. Also, were hearing that he was not on the secret Service Radar but tonight, they are calling several Law Enforcement agencies across the country to find out if he was on their radar. Now, right now, i want to see. Theres secret Service Officers and a lot of police in this area, here on 17th and the area has been cleared, and is getting back to normal after what can only be described as a chaotic afternoon. Al. It happened right at 17 and and e street and at 17th at e, you cannot drive a vehicle into that area. You have to get out of your vehicle. They have the barriers there and you have to walk in. Heres what i learned from looking at the video. The police officer, the secret service Police Officers confronted this guy. He had a weapon and it was showing. So they told him repeatedly, drop your weapon, and thats police procedure. The guy refused to drop the weapon. He continued to advance towards the white house. Now, the protocol, the procedure for uniformed officers is if somebody conti they refuse to acknowledge the officers orders, you have to take that person out. What the secret Service Officers did, shot the guy one time in the stomach. Then he went down at that point. There were a lot of people. So the viewers know. There were a lot of people in that area. The secret service right around the white house this is good information, sean, we use in the dc area a layered security protocol. A layered protocol means that you have to go through various layers of security in order to access the white house. Now, whats interesting in this case is that this individual today never got past the outer layer of the white house perimeter. Everything appeared at this point to have worked the way its supposed to work. We know generally as the public, we can see things that are happening. We see there are Sharp Shooters on top of thes white house. Theres a live shot. We can see a little bit of stepped up security. People standing in front of the white house. Of what else did you notice . I know you cant tell us everything. What else did you notice was going on. I can tell right away when theres something going on. I can share this with you. What you will notice, any time theres a securityrelated event, taking place on the white house grounds, what youll see are individuals dressed in black. We call them ninja officers, theyre not ninja. Of theyre actually Sharp Shooters. These started coming out from various areas on the roof of the white house. Of any time you see that, and any time you see the park Police Helicopters. Now, a lot of viewers have been saying why the park Police Helicopters . I can tell you why. Its not classified. The reason is they park the police their helicopters. Theyre the closest to the white house than any other agency. It takes park police 15 seconds literally to get that chopper up fr it happened quickly.
