So much drama with this super cell storm and the up usual phenomena was this. Did you see some pictures that looked like this or the sky filled with what we call ma mattis clouds. Ive only seen them a few times here myself and they are a sign of severe storm a the look of the pictures that people sent in, it seemed like a lot of people from Montgomery County were looking south toward this storm and seeing the me mattis clouds which are caused by pockets of cold air singing down, a very tesh length sign in the sky. Notice the color, too, because this was occurring as the sun lot of back lighting from the sunsetting causing the clouds to look golden and a little bit green heres another one. We got this one from tas dick in d. C. Heres the storm that produced it all as i put it in motion, the lightning with this was incredible. At one point i saw lightning strikes of about 3,000 in 30 minutes. So it came across Northern Virginia. It basically missed the district. Although we got a little of it and then on down into Charles County where it has finally fizzled out tonight. Im happy to who he you that theres not much left. We may have to deal with a few more storms tomorrow this line of showers and a few embedded thunderstorms will be approaching our area in the form of a frontal boundary tomorrow. That means we may have to look fr a few more storms and guess what its another hot day. Police in Prince Georges County are investigating a deadly crash involving a school bus in em t many hills. Witnesses say the car and bus were traveling in opposite directions when they the car immediately burst into flames. The driver was trapped inside and died at the scene. No one on the bus was injured and police told fox5 there was a call for shots fired just before that crash. Theyre now trying to determine if those incidents are connected. Developing tonight an 18 Year Old Girl is dead and more than 20 others were hurt when a man drove this car in a crowd of pedestrians in times square. The driver right there is a navy veteran. He sped through the crowd of pedestrianses for three blocks before slamming into that security barrier. He tested negative for alcohol after \police\police arrested him. The results of his drug tests are still pending. Witnesses who saw this were in shock. We heard a big crash. We turned around and we saw people running from the scene. We went running back and we saw people laying on the sidewalk on the other block with crowds of people around them trying to help them. It was just tote l al it happened.
