An answer tonight . Well, actually they are not disputed. They are provisional ballots. They are ballots people fill out when they go to the polling place and their name is not there. They fill out the ballot and people are coming in to face to have their ballot counted. Only 159 of those 500 came in and we may see about, maybe 300 of them counted. Take a look inside at the room where its all going to happen. Its filled with lots of media. They will be moving in three different optical scanning machines for the three different congressional precincts. Thats how they count these votes. The ballots that are accepted will be put into those three different machines and well know how those people voted. It has been quite a drive, quite a push to get these ballots counted. The three member Fairfax County lektorial board has been hearing from residents who cast provisional ballots election day because they werent listed as registered voters. Its a 1 00 shortstop deadline. Anybody that is inside the door of the Election Office at 1 00 will be allowed to come in and present their case. Because of the extraordinarily tight attorney general race, both parties have done everything to get these provisional voters here. A party worker drove 93year old, Mary Johnston here. It took a long time. I thought i was being kidnapped. What does it feel like to know that your vote could matter in this case . It made me nervous. With the raiser thin march gin and national attention, the board has been trying to stamp out rumors. Everything was counted. Thats right. Everything was counted. They are going through each of those 500 ballots. Thats what they have been doing the past five days. Making sure which ones are legitimate and they will accept a certain number of them. So far, we believe its about 250 that they accepted. But there will be more than that because they have been continuing to go through this process and accept some ballots and deny others.
