publication metro weekly. here are some of the pictures we can show you on tv. some of them are so bad you don't want to see them. metro weekly staff members have been forced to clean up the mess usually after a reader makes the nasty discovery. who is doing it? well, no one is for sure at this point, but the co- publisher of the magazine believes this vandalism is motivated by hate. >> i consider this to be a hate crime in a lot of ways, but it's not directed at me or at the magazine. it's a hate crime directed at the readers. >> one staff member did catch a man on video who was throwing away the weekly magazines in a nearby trash can that. video has been passed lobing to police. -- along to police. a solemn ceremony outside washington today as the bodies of four americans killed in libya this week were returned to the united states. president obama, vice president biden secretary of state hillary clinton among the many dignitaries who attended the ceremony at andrews filmmaker is hiring lawyers. we have the latest from cairo. >> reporter: angry crowds with violent anti-american protests across the middle east and beyond. in tunisia at least two people killed and dozens injured during a protest outside the u.s. embassy. in sudan thousands of protesters gathered outside the u.s. mission there clashing with police. witnesses report police opened fire on some protesters who tried to storm the compound. this all began tuesday when protests erupted in egypt and libya, the outraging said to have been sparked by a film about islam's prophet muhammad professor moated on youtube. it depicts -- promoted on youtube. it digits the prophet as a -- depicts the prophet as a fraud. the man was previously convicted on bank fraud charges and banned from using computers as part of his sentence. is he on probation and has report -- he is on probation and has reportedly hired attorneys. >> we are told they are the attorneys represented by the family. >> on. >> reporter: for a day now military and rioters have clashed into the early morning hours. the rioters throwing rocks and bottles and the miss and military responding with -- police and military responding with tear gas and rubber bullets. the royal palace is trying to put a lid on a topless photo scandal, plus justice for union workers in wisconsin. will thomas is everywhere at 11:00. >> a wisconsin jung has struck down governor scott -- judge has struck down governor scott walker's union law which ended collective bargaining rights for teachers and other unions last year. it sparked massive protests in front of the statehouse. governor walker has vowed to appeal. another royal caught in the buff. a french magazine published topless photos of kate middleton also known as duchess of cambridge. they were taken by a photographer without william and kate's none while they vacationed in france -- knowledge while they vacationed in france. the palace calls them a grotesque invasion of privacy and filed a lawsuit against the magazine. a city bus took a plunge over an overpass in los angeles today. the empty bus rolled right off the highway ramp and fell onto the freeway below. the driver says he left to make a phone call and thinks the brakes failed when he was gone. again, no you know with was inside the bus -- no one was inside the bus and no one was hurt where it landed. it's the last call for a northeast d.c. landmark after 32 years in business colonel brooks tavern in brooklyn shutting down. fox 5's maureen umeh has that story. >> reporter: hugs, laughter and a few again. >> a lot of people refer to it as cheers. it's exactly like cheers. the crowds come and go, but they always come back. >> reporter: for decades the northeast staple on the corner of ninth and monroe streets has been the unofficial sensor of the brookland neighborhood, a laid back place where people gathered for a good time. >> i was in the medical profession and we had lawyers and gar garbage collectors and everybody felt the same here. >> the place is so rustic looking, but it's cozy and i like it. >> reporter: after 32 years the owner of colonel brooks tavern is shutting down making way for a $50 million development with more than 200 apartments and retail space. it's part of a building boom in the community. >> everything is changing. you look all around. it's all developments going up everywhere. >> reporter: another restaurant will take the tavern's place, but customers say it won't be the same. >> the only thing we can hope is it comes around and if it comes in another couple years another good place. >> reporter: some aren't surprised by the closure. colonel brooks tavern struggled to return to normal since a brutal triple murder years ago. in april, 2003 a robbery ended with three employees being shot execution style in a walk-in freezer. the dark chapter of the murders is one customers say they'd like to wipe away from the tavern's history. on they do the same thing next weekend at the incomes football game. we're -- next football game. we're not telling people to stop. we're telling them to be more responsible because there are tragic stories. it only takes one mistake for a tragic story to be told. i just want to have everyone help me promote the message. i've been going around morehouse. the good thing about what i'm doing is i let the students do their own campaign and i direct it because it's their language. people drink for different reasons, whether it's peer pressure, grade or they just want to have fun. i let them produce it on the spot and i direct it. we encourage you to be more responsible. >> reporter: tell us why you decided to get involved in this. what got your attention too say i want to do this -- to say i want to do this and get in front of this campaign? >> it's important. pipe on youtube all the time -- i'm on youtube all the type and that's how the younger crowd communicates. youtube shows about 4 million videos a day. i just wanted to be behind something positive. i went to college and i understand the binge drinking language. i'm not up here trying to be a saint, but i was always very responsible and very conscious because i knew if i took the extra drink and made a mistake, it could end my whole career. people should have the same mentality and the same attitude and i hope they will. >> reporter: the message you want to get out to anyone who sees this about binge drinking? you could be at risk of heart disease. researchers found people with more job-related stress were 23% more likely to have a heart attack. other health experts say work stress can be related to heart disease, but it wouldn't be the main cause. no. 1, having trouble using metro's rush plus program?
