nothing. >> despite the demise of the ments, the movement isn't dead yet. the edge on virginia arlington county police identified an elderly woman who died after being hit by a bicyclist. the 80-year-old was walking on a path when it happened. >> reporter: it was a tragic accident. ida lapina was walking on the 4- mile bike path early yesterday morning when she had a terrible collision with the man riding his bike. the cyclist tried to warn her he was coming up behind her. police say he rang his bell on his bike and called out to her to your left, to your left. when she heard him, she turned and walked right into his path. bicycle enthusiasts say it was more just an awful circumstance than any kind of failure on anyone's part. >> the a man thing to learn is as our trail -- the main thing to learn is as our trails get busier and busier, we need to be aware of our surroundings. everyone needs to expect somebody else to come along and share the road in a busier environment. >> reporter: lapida died from head injuries. the cyclist stayed with her and will not be charged. we're learning more details about an accident that critically injured a metro employee last month. the maintenance worker was hit by a train inside a building in the shady grove railroad. the worker was hit near a doorway and dragged 38 feet. he was trapped under the train about an hour. he remains in critical but stable condition. metro's safety and security committee will talk about the incident this thursday at a meeting. more than a year after metro's random bag searches, so far nothing has popped up, zero arrests since the program started in 2010. thousands have been searched, only a handful questioned. despite few problems there are no plans to scrap the program. to maryland where police arrested two teenagers accused of throwing a bottle bomb at a little girl at sunset elementary school in mass dean a last night. the two boys 13 and 15 threw a bottle bomb at a 6-year-old on the playground. she wasn't hurt. police arrested the teens who now face felony charges. a key witness takes the stand in the jerry sandusky trial. laura evans is everywhere at 11:00. >> mike mcqueary, former penn state assistant coach testified today that he saw sandusky having sex with a boy in a campus locker room in 2001. he said the boy was 10 to 12 years old. a victim also took the stand crying as he recounted the alleged sexual attack during sleepovers in sandusky's basement while his wife was upstairs. the jury in the roger clemens perjury trial will continue deliberations tomorrow. in closing arguments today clemens' lawyers attacked the prosecution's star witness brian mcnamee. prosecutors say clemens chose to lie when he told congress he never used steroids. an arrest in the shootings near auburn university, a law enforcement official says police have arrested desmonte leonard following a manhunt that lasted nearly three days. police say leonard opened fire at a party saturday night shooting six people, killing three. two were students at auburn. the news edge on d.c. where four businesses now officially eligible to sell medical marijuana, three in northwest, one in southeast. they were approved by the department of health after meeting several criteria. the applicants now have to apply for licenses, building permits and other requirements. it's not yet clear when they'll begin selling the drug for medicinal purposes. experiments told state lawmakers today the state can handle a sixth casino. maryland live! opened in anne arundel county last week, the third casino in the state. there are plans for two more. analysts and consultants say there's enough interest to justify adding another place to gamble. it will be up to voters to decide in november. are all moving southeast and we'll give you a tighter look as we switch over to sentinel radar. you'll be able to see this affects portions of close to the colesville area swinging into bethesda, northwest washington over to reston and chantilly. it is rather speedy moving right down 270 and right along the beltway now. wider view shows us a couple more lines out to our north and west that may affect some of the communities along interstate 81. it holds together, maybe you'll get a few more showers especially west overnight as the frontal system, which is what we think this is the leading edge of, almost a dry line separation between less and more humid air that's over us now. that moves through overnight. here is your three days, 81 degrees tomorrow, wednesday much less humid. it is also going to be breezy. there could be a spotty shower around thursday, a bit more in cloud cover as well, temperature 79. that's a bargain for sure and friday looking delightful at 81 degrees. most of the rain we'll get in the next few hours and then it will wind down, temperatures still really mild in the district at 76, a few other spots in the 60s primarily rain cooled and looking north and west we definitely find somewhat cooler temperatures, but what we mostly notice is the fact the air is getting a lot less humid, not yet for d.c., still tropical with a dew point of 73. when it gets above 65, you annoy it, very sticky above 70 -- notice it, very sticky. the frontal boundary will take away our chance for showers as the drier air moves in. it won't be as humid. tomorrow don't be surprised to find winds gusty out of the northwest at 20 to occasionally 30 miles an hour. the sunshine will be back as well. there's a few scattered downpours, a couple isolated storms winding down overnight, our temperature 69 degrees. tomorrow refreshing breeze, rather blustery out of the northwest at 15 to 25, aircraft cylindrical higher. so the sun is back. -- occasionally higher. so the sun is back. at 8 a.m. a few cloud, 72. by noon breezy, 78 and still breezy at 5:00 with a temperature of 80. we'll find some upper 70s to our north and west. quantico 80 flee, annapolis 79, gaithersburg
