Reporter tony sounds like there was a soccer event going on here at center way park yesterday when the suspect was taken into custody by police. They arrived here to arrest 47yearold Miguel Alfredo flores. If you take a look at his mug shot you can see hes still wearing the shirt that has the emblem on it for academyial de futbol salvadorena. Now, this young girl was seven years old at the time. The summer of 2015. She told Child Protective Services that while on the playing field, flores would touch her inappropriately underneath of her clothing. He would wait until a moment when no one was looking touch her to keep this a secret. Dont tell anyone or something will happen. She took that threat to mean that something may happen to her mother. And she was frightened. It took her two years until now to come forward to Child Protective Services and they contacted, pardon me, Montgomery County police. Polic. Starks who is asking anyone who has a child who has been coached by flores who thinks their child may also have been impacted to give him a call. Take a listen to what he had to say. We can only speculate but certainly it was it was on her mind and as she got older she may have realized that, hey, this wasnt appropriate. I need to tell somebody. As coach of a soccer academy, he has access and opportunity to be around younger people. Many times unsupervised. So, there could be other victims detectives believe and many times t to come forward. Detectives are urging anyone with any information to come forward and speak with them. Reporter i just spoke with a young boy and his father. The boy had been playing under Miguel Flores for six years and he says it was a coed team he led them to championships throughout the county. Theyre just shocked to hear about this. He said that he really liked the coach end kept describing him as a really chill guy and it was a lot of fun to be around but again if theres anyone out there who thinks their child may be a victim you are asked to call the special Victims Investigations Division of Montgomery County police. A body was discovered in a wooded area last night in Berwyn Heights. The body was found in the 5700 block of Nevada Street right near a popular walking trail by lake artemesia. Th have not identified him. Its not clear if he was killed in the woods or brought there later. We responded along with Berwyn Heights Police Department and Maryland National capitol park Police Department. We quickly launched an investigation. An autopsy was conducted today. And the manner of death was ruled a homicide by blunt force trauma. Scary i mean, its scary. Police are asking anyone with information to give them a call. New at 6 00 a town hall style meeting was held at American University today as the investigation into a racial incident on campus is still ongoing. They have more than 1,000 chapters across the country and the the world but she was here today on campus along with several other sorority leaders to attend that meeting and to show their support and just a little bit ago University Officials and Student Government officers left a closed door meeting where they went to debrief on all that they heard earlier this afternoon in that town hall the meeting was pretty much run and held by the Student Government president an Alpha Kappa Alpha member taylor dumson. On sunday when that racial incident that hate crime on campus happened, she had just assumed the position that day and that has the top brass of this very extensive and historic sorority with deep ties to d. This happened in city where a large concentration even today of our members who have been around for a very long time are still here active. In fact downstairs in the room where we just had the town hall meeting, there are two members there who have been members of this organization for 75 years. Theyre nearing a hundred years of age and they have been providing service for over 75 years and theyre here because theyre concerned. We continue to work very, very hard tirelessly in fact until first and foremost the individual or individuals that are responsible for the act be brought to justice and then beyond that, building on taylors example today, the town hall earlier in the week to engage this community in the type of searching conversation about how we can ensure that every member of this community black women and others feel safe on the campus and can use their time here to the greatest possible benefit. The week long manhunt for an escaped prisoner in maryland is over. Police caught david watson just before 10 oclock last night in jessup. Now, officers got a tip yesterday morning that many someone spotted him in a wooded area near the same location where he escaped last friday. These are images of watson after police found him yesterday. He was in prison or serving time for attempted murder. Police found him here inside a large Drainage Pipe just a few yards away from dorsey road. We are aware of a Storage Building nearby that he had broken into. That building has white hard hats that was described witness, also clothing in lockers were there so we believe that he actual had taken some clothing from there as well as that hard hat and had also used that area as well as a resting place. From conversations last night during the interview he said he had been eating out of trash cans and also Drinking Water from puddles. Watson is current tecurrently held ata detention. That son earlier flight home on thats when the family put the twoyearold in that seat. The airline argued that the toddlers name was not on the ticket assigned to the seat. The story behind it is just it blows my mind. Reporter kimberly came here five months ago from her home in kentucky suffering from crippling kidney disease. Ive been praying for so long, you know, and he answered moo you prayers. Reporter her outlook changed when this pamphlet arrived in the mail advertising walter reeds transplant program an offer to military families. And we pay for everything. Food, lodging, travel and i sat there and im like, its true . This is too good to be true. Reporter after coming to walter reed and its highly regarded transplant center kimberly made this appeal on facebook. Transplant team told me social media, you know, get it later i got a message saying im o blood type. Ill be willing to be tested. Reporter back home in utah, brittany got wind of kimberlys desperation and agreed to give up one of her kidneys. They sent me a blood kit and i sent them some blood back. They had it tested and i was here doing some testing about a month later. And you know, i was like, whoa. I dont even know this woman. Reporter turns out brittany was not an ideal match but she agreed to donate one of her kidneys to somebody else so kimberly could get one as well. Part of a 10 person kidney transplant chain. Why go this far and just stop . Even though i dont physically have her kidney, if it wasnt for her, i wouldnt have a kidney. I dont know, it was just 2 00 a. M. , i have a very big believer you get what you if i was in her shoes i would hope that somebody would do that for me. Reporter the surgery last tuesday went very well for both kimberly and brittany. I cant really feel anything different. I feel awesome. I i havent felt this good in a long time honestly. We had allison seymour, caitlin roth myself and chris strong from the National Weather service and we talk about what we do for along living and how important weather is to not jt city but very important for them to keep ahead of and as you mentioned, gary, were so delighted today that the weather worked out well. Last year it was kind of a scorcher. Weve had a few weather days where weve had rain delays but today were just kind of dealing with a little bit of cloud cover and comfortable temperatures.
