working this -- on the loose tonight. fox 5 audrey barnes working on this case tonight. >> the victim in this case is 84 years old and laid on her apartment floor for a day before her neighbor found her. it's an image he says he'll have trouble getting out of my head. >> she's like my grandmother. so you can imagine that. reporter: jonathan dohock said a neighbor asked for his help with an elderly woman who was attacked in her apartment left lying in her own blood. 24 hours after the attack wednesday afternoon until neighbors found her on thursday. >> she was sitting there so long you could is here eye and lips bruised and bleeding. reporter: -- her eye and lips bruised and bleeding. reporter: what do you think about something that could do that to an 84-year-old lady? >> need do it to anybody. reporter: prince george's county police were back in the complex friday night warning residents about the danger and searching for witnesses. >> we're doing a campus of the neighborhood. reporter: investigators say the suspect tricked the elderly lady into opening her door. >> when a male knocked on her door posing as a neighbor, she answered the door. the male entered her apartment and physically assaulted her. reporter: he grabbed some money from her purse and fled. the kind of crime that has neighbors on edge. >> it's quiet. i keep my kids in the house and i never hear any trouble outside or anything. reporter: police warn residents to be on alert for this suspect, not afraid to pull off a daylight robbery and assault. >> that's a very heinous crime. evidently this person has no regard or respect for the elderly citizens of our community. reporter: the elderly woman told police the man who beat and robbed her is between 20 and 30 years old, 6 feet tall and at the time he was wearing all dark clothing. investigators say they really need some tips on this one to catch this suspect. a former d.c. police sergeant has been sentenced to 18 months in prison after admitting she stole $40,000 from an elderly woman she was supposed to be helping. 36-year-old aisha hackley met the victim after the 85-year- old woman filed a police report saying her bank account had been targeted in the lottery fraud scam. hackley confessed to writing 14 checks from the victim's account to herself while she was investigating the scam. hackley resigned from the police force last year and has paid full restitution to the victim. a fox 5 weather alert, a powerful storm system is making its way across the country tonight. it's dumped massive amounts of snow out west and while it's not expected to packet same punch here, it will affect our weekend -- pack the same punch here, it will affect our weekend. gary mcgrady in the weather center with the details. how much will it affect us? >> that's a big part of this. it looks like in the d.c. area we may see some snowflakes, at this point not expecting any coverage of snow across the city. now north and west and those favored areas, i think they could get a little coating up there, especially in the grassy areas by sunday at noon or so. most of this comes in late tomorrow night and for the early morning hours on sunday, but as you mentioned, not nearly what they're seeing back out to the west thank goodness. it's a full fledged snowstorm out there. now temperatures here cooling off. it's already very chilly in the suburbs, 32 for dulles, manassas cold as well down to freezing. here in town we're sitting at 41 degrees and overnight tonight it will get much colder than that in the suburbs. as you can see here as we look at sentinel radar, the rain is well back out to the west of us. we don't expect that to get here until tomorrow late morning, early afternoon and we fly you back out to the bigger picture. you can see where all the snow is, still snowing in denver there along interstate 25. most of this is not getting west of the mountains. they've had a little bit of snow there. this is confined for the plains right over up against the mountains, the front range, if you will, and denver has picked up a foot to 1 1/2 feet of snow and it's really snowing now up into nebraska and parts of western kansas. this is also a severe weathermaker as well. back at home tonight just mostly cloudy, 20s on the suburbs, looking for middle 30s here in town. we'll have your complete weekend forecast, where's the snow going to fall, who may get a little bit of the white stuff actually sticking on the ground before the weekend is up, all that coming up. he showed us the maps. let's show you some video as they're digging out in parts of the west, that same system gary was just talking about dumping massive amounts of snow in colorado and parts of neighboring states. more than 600 flights have been canceled in denver as a result and hundreds of miles of roads are closed due to whiteout conditions. more on the snowstorm later in the newscast. want to remind you if you want the app store or the android market. another big story tonight, a school district on alert. charles county school officials are going all out to stop students from playing a potentially deadly game called the knockout or passout challenge. at least three students have been taken to the hospital, several more sickened. fox 5's maureen umeh here with more. >> this is an old game i hear that's making a comeback and thanks to social media, more kids are learning how to do it. the high school seniors say the knockout or passout challenge is an increasingly popular game at their school. >> it does seem stupid. it's like the new manicking. everybody like does it now. i -- planking. everybody like does it now. i don't know why. reporter: they've seen their classmates do it, holding their breath until they pass out. they think it's a bad idea. >> it's something you should know not to do. you're knock yourself out ray. reporter: in the past week two lackey students have been taken to the hospital after playing the game and students at north point high school and middle schools have posted comments online about doing it. charles county school officials say the students are learning the challenges from videos on youtube and facebook. they sent letters to parents alerting them of the possible health risk and asking for their help to curb the dangerous behavior. >> what happens is you lose consciousness and you fall. you can hit your head on the way down and other physical harm can come to you. >> it's very scary. i don't think they realize the danger they're putting themselves in by doing that and i surely hope my children never try something that silly. reporter: school officials say any student caught taking the knockout or passout challenge could face possible disciplinary action. these lackey seniors say it's a good idea to get tough letting students know the so-called game can kill. >> i think it's stupid. >> additionally, there's another challenge going around called the cinnamon challenge. it's when students ingest a large. the spice. it apparently gives them a high, but the concern is it could block their windpipe and they could suffer respiratory distress when they ingest it. a lot of school officials saying please don't do that as well. >> good to know what's going on. new information tonight about a sex assault inside a d.c. elementary school. it happened wednesday at ketcham elementary in southeast d.c. and an 11-year-old girl was assaulted by a visitor after being asked to escort him to a classroom. school officials say protocol was not followed because the man did not sign in or show id. an aide says he thought he recognized the guy, so he let him in the school. police have never been able to track down the man again. an illegal imabout grant who killed a nun in a drunk driving -- immigrant who killed a nun in a drunk driving crash in 2010 sentenced to 20 years in prison. reporter: carlos martinelly montano had already been convicted of drunk driving in virginia twice when in august of 2010 on a two-lane road in bristow his subaru crashed into a toyota carrying three nuns. sister denise mosier was killed. the other two nuns were severely injured. prosecutors successfully convinced the judge that the immigrant was guilty of felony murder and asked for a 24 year sentence. family and friends told the judge the young man had reformed in jail attending aa meetings and scores of bible classes. martinelly montano read a letter to the judge. >> i am truly sorry for the destruction and harm i put the sisters and their families through. i feel horrible for what i have done. i take full responsibility for my actions and i'm willing to accept my penalty. reporter: defense attorneys pointed out martinelly montano has two young children who need him. they asked for a merciful sentence. that didn't happen. >> he had had two prior convictions. he'd gone to jail. he'd gone to classes. when he got in that car in that intoxicated position, he knew that there was a great likelihood that someone would be injured or killed by his action. reporter: judge lon farris sentenced the young man who smashed into the nun's car to 20 years in prison, john henrehan, fox 5 news. >> carlos martinelly montano is from bolivia brought to the u.s. illegally as a child. at the end of his sentence he will likely go before an immigration judge for deportation. the fbi usually investigates hackers. instead it's now a victim. how one group secretly recorded entire phone conversations between agents. plus the komen foundation doing an about face now bringing back funding for planned parenthood, but some say it's too little too late. . on the news edge we're going to show you the new clues released tonight in a brutal bus stop stabbing. controversy. the charity has reversed its decision to cut funding to planned parenthood. fox 5's karen gray houston has the details. reporter: the charity's prestigeous image was on the line. the susan g. komen foundation has used its pink ribbons and fundraising races in its mission to help find a cure for breast cancer, but its website and facebook pages have been bombarded with negative e-mails since the decision three days ago to stop giving grants to planned parenthood which provides abortion services. on the streets of downtown washington we found this reaction to the komen reversal. >> i think they reversed their decision because it was a very unpopular decision and a bad decision and i think it's a very good thing that they reversed it because planned parenthood helps provide very critical services for women. >> i didn't realize they're such a strong force and advocate for women's health that cutting funding goes against everything they stand for. reporter: we were hard pressed to find anyone that thought komen was right in initially banning funding to planned parenthood. komen ceo nancy brinker tried to explain her reasoning yesterday in a video on the charity's facebook page. >> recently we implemented new granting strategies and criteria that some have regrettably mischaracterized. reporter: but the public wasn't buying that no access to onsite screenings was an issue. one top komen official resigned in protest of the decision to drop the funding. another threatened to. planned parenthood saw its online donations skyrocket and on capitol hill -- >> it was an unfortunate situation, but it was dealt with in a short period of time. i commend the susan g. komen foundation for seeing the light on. this. reporter: karen gray houston, fox 5 news. >> on the website for komen ceo nancy brinker today apologized forecasting doubt of the charity's commitment to their mission to saving women's lives and denies any of it was political. no doubt komen's image has taken a hit from all. this so what county charity do to recover? less frances is a public reelings expert with the washington -- les francis is a public media expert with the washington media group. we had an outpouring of comments on our facebook page today that say they will never look at komen for the cure in the same light again. the obvious question tonight is does this have a lasting negative impact on komen? >> well, first of all, i think we have to keep in mind the issue here, which is that for over 200,000 diagnosis of breast cancer every year, 7,000 a day, 40,000 women die each year, that's the fundamental issue we have to keep our eyes on here and the komen foundation has been a leader in early detection and treatment possibilities and research and it would be a shame if their brand were permanently damaged, that they walked into this and made the mistake themselves. this is the first rule of crisis management is don't cause yourself a problem and they did that. they didn't need to do it. they exacerbated with conflicting explanations. they then moved quickly relatively after a couple days of the firestorm. >> did they move quickly enough? does nancy brinker or anyone else from komen need to take further action for damage control? >> they certainly acted i think ultimately quickly enough, but their statement today sort of magnified the problem in places. they went back to trying to justify the original decision. they should have just said look, we made a mistake. we apologized. we're moving on rather than sort of replowing old ground. >> at this point do they open the betrayal dies down? >> that's one. >> or should anybody lose their job? >> if i were on the board, i'd be questioning the people who brought the decision to the board and made the recommendation. i mean i think somebody maybe should go as a result of this so that they can show that they take this seriously and it won't happen again. that's another major lesson of crisis management. you want to make sure that the public believes that you have learned your lesson. >> absolutely. les francis from the washington media group, appreciate you being here tonight. >> thank you. talk about bad pr, hackers hit the highest levels of law enforcement intercepting a confidential conference call between the fbi and scotland yard. the group known as anonymous leaves a 15 minute recording on the internet with officials saying they will track and prosecute members of the organization, then gloated about it on twitter. the same group credited for hacking a virginia law firm and police websites around the country. anonymous says it attacked the website of puckett and ferage from alexandria. the firm represented a u.s. marine convicted in a 2005 attack that killed 24 civilians in iraq. police departments in salt lake city and boston were also hacked. officials say they gained access to personal information of informants and tipsters. could the economy be turning the corner? two major milestones that center a lot of people wondering. she admits she went on the attack against a kindergartner and faced a judge today. hear what this mother has month bringing unemployment down to 8.3%, the lowest level in nearly three years. president obama welcomed that news speaking at a firehouse today in arlington. >> the economy is growing stronger. the recovery is speeding up. we've got to do everything in our power to keep it going. >> the new 8.3% unemployment rate is down .2 of a percent from --.two of a point from december. the report gave wall street a boost, the dow climbing 156 points finishing with its highest close since may of 2008. now to the men vowing to fix the economy if elected, what happens in vegas definitely won't stay there. nevada is the next showdown site for the republican candidates, but at least one is already making his main target the president himself. fox's john roberts has more. reporter: frontrunner mitt romney focusing on the economy a day ahead of the nevada caucuses. today the labor department reported the unemployment rate dropped to 8.3% in january, the lowest in nearly three years, but the former massachusetts governor points out too many americans are still looking for work and he says president obama's economic policies aren't working. >> he said we'd have lower corporate taxes. he's raised them. he said we need less regulation. he's increased it. he said we need to have an all of the above energy policy. he's made it almost impossible to get coal, oil and gas from the ground. he said we need to crack down on cheaters like china. he hasn't. reporter: romney who is mormon is expected to get a lot of votes in nevada from members of his own faith in. 2008 nearly 1/4 of all caucusgoers were mormon. meanwhile former house speaker newt gingrich continues to attack governor romney. >> obama is big food stamp. he's little food staff, but they both think food staffs are okay. reporter: texas congressman ron paul trying hard to convince people in the silver state. >> the first one to introduce the age of big government was this rejection of the founders' notion that we shouldn't have an income tax. i'd like to restore that principle. we shouldn't need an income tanks. reporter: but rick santorum has moved to missouri where that primary takes place on tuesday. >> every time we sold america short and not completely standing for what our conservative movement and the republican group stands for, we lose of. reporter: unlike florida's primary which was a winner take all contest tomorrow's contest has the delegates given proportionally which means all the candidates could come out with something of a win. just days after a teacher is charged with performing lewd acts with a student, another teacher from the same school is arrested. plus a murder that made headlines across the country, a local lacrosse star accused of killing his girl friend, now days away from his trial.  jury selection begins monday in the trial of george huguely, the university of virginia student accused of killing his former girl friend yeardley love. the two were seniors at the time, members of the varsity lacrosse team. fox 5 paul wagner has a preview of the trial he'll be covering. reporter: when yeardley love was found dead in her apartment may 3rd, 2010, her roommate katie whitely told police she found the senior lacrosse player face down in a pillow in her bedroom. love's right eye was swollen shut and there were bruises and scrapes to her chin. the door to love's bedroom was forced open and investigators found a hole in it that george huguely admitted putting there with his foot. when police questioned the varsity lacrosse player later that day, he admitted being involved in an altercation with love and told investigators her head repeatedly hit the wall. the interview was videotaped but only a select few have seen it, a piece of evidence that will likely be played for the jury. friends say love and huguely recently had broken up and on the day of the murder huguely had been drinking heavily, but each side has its own theory on how love died, theories that could be deciding factors in the case. >> we are confident that ms. love's death was not intended but an accident with a tragic outcome. reporter: the medical examiner says yeardley love died from blunt force trauma to the head, but the defense believes her death may be linked to the use of adderall, a prescription medication for adhd that contains amphetamines and raises the risk of cardiac arrhythmia. a gag order may be in effect through the trial. yeardley love was from cockeysville maryland outside baltimore and the people who knew her best called her an angel. >> there was not a mean cell in her body. she was goodness epitomized. >> we're mourning. we're grieving. students can sense that feeling here on the grounds today. it's important for us to unify and come together to recognize yardley and get through this tragedy together. reporter: during the course of the investigation police seized a sizable amount of evidence in this case including tops and shorts belonging to both love and huguely as well as handwritten notes, computers, camera, cell phones and a letter addressed to yeardley love. police also seized evidence that appeared to be blood stained. investigators also got a sample of george huguely's dna. paul wagner, fox 5 news. >> so far there's been nothing on the record about a potential plea deal. if huguely is convicted of first degree murder, he faces life in prison without parole. fairfax county police set up a major illegal gambling operation serving seven search warrants last night pat four homes and three businesses including the eden center at falls church. these three men were arrested -- these two men were arrested. police say it was a significant operation. >> we're talking a lot of money, a lot of people involved in these cases. to follow up with that you have money laundering, which is where you're trying to take that illegal income and find a way of making it appear legal. so we're going to take all of a sudden $10,000, how do i make it look like natural money that i actually earned at some point? >> police say the investigation is continuing based on evidence collected last night and more arrests are likely. more troubling news from a los angeles elementary school. a second teacher has been arrested accused of touching his young students. police are investigating claims that the teacher martin springer fondled two girls ages 7 and gate his classroom. he has been suspended -- 8 in his classroom. he has been suspended and is being held on $2 million bail. this happens two days after another teacher mark berndt was arrested. last night we told you about a massachusetts mom accused of attacking a kindergartner. tonight she calls it a big misunderstanding. domonique kahn was in court today. it stems from an alleged incident involving her son and a little girl on the bus. kahn said the 5-year-old girl hit her son and the school did nothing about it, so she boarded the bus and confronted the girl herself. >> at no point in time did i hit that little girl. at no time did she have a scratch on her. i did not hit her at all. i did reach out and touched her face and turned her face to look at my son. i told her to leave him alone because obviously when she hit him, he did not react at all. >> the little girl was not hurt. hahn was released on bail and ordered to stay away from the bus stop. israel could be poised to attack iran, the latest on growing tensions and fears around the world. plus what was that about no winter this year, parts of the country getting pounded tonight. we'll take you inside the storm. but unemployment rate falling to 8.3% as employers add more than 240,000 workers last month. every single one of those jobs on wall street investors loving the sound of that, the dow closing this week at its highest level since 2008. more workers means more people driving to work and paying more at pump. gas prices on an up trend, the national average now $3.47 a gallon for regular unleaded. meantime dozens of states are dealing with a major egg recall. michael foods says that its hard cooked eggs could be contaminated with listeria. the eggs were sold between january 23rd and february 1st. despite the recall we have a funny feeling americans will be stuffing their faces this weekend. super bowl sunday is hands down the busiest day for pizza joints and chicken wing shops. millions of women and their tour guide were abducted at gunpoint today and held several hours by the tribesmen. this happened this morning when masked gunmen held up a minivan that was returning them from a monastery. they were released after promises by security officials to look into a list of demands including the list of fellow tribesmen arrested on drug and robbery charms. tensions rising between iran -- charges. tensions rising between iran and israel, a day after israel's defense minister publicly announced now is the time to strike iran. defense secretary panetta told the washington post israel was likely to strike iran in april, may or june. after learning of the washington post article the supreme leader of iran warned israel they were a cancer that needs to be cut off. gop presidential hopefuls getting ready for a busy weekend on the campaign trail with contests in five states the next eight days. earlier today i talked to fox news sunday host chris wallace, asked if he thinks newt gingrich will take this campaign all the way to the convention. >> i don't know. certainly is saying that. i think he'll take it till early march and super tuesday. he'll have a tough month of february. looks like he's going to lose badly to mitt romney saturday night in nevada and, in fact, five of the six contests in november mitt romney won those states in 2008 four years ago. so i think gingrich will have a tough time. he's also got only one debate scheduled this month and those things have kept him on a level playing field with romney, but the primary calendar turns in march to a bunch of southern states, particularly super tuesday, georgia, tennessee, oklahoma, arkansas and that's where gingrich may try to do better. i think if he is able to beat romney in some of those states in march, he can keep this going for a while. if he doesn't, it's going to be awfully hashed to stay in just because the money will dry up -- hard to stay in just because the money will dry up. >> politics often revolves around bite size pieces of information. do you think the colonizing the moon moment was the turning point? it seems to dog newt gingrich and turned his campaign a little bit into a joke on the internet in certain circles? >> it certainly wasn't helpful. i understand the appealing to the space travel, but colonizing the moon, let alone having thousands of people in that colony seems maybe not the front burner issue people are worried about now. i don't know. you also have romney talking about not being concerned about the poor. so in a campaign like this and where everybody is going 24/7 from one state to the next and every word they utter ends up on the internet, everybody says a few stupid things, even television anchors. >> i've been known to do just that. >> exactly. me, too. >> you have bob mcdonnell among others on your show this weekend. >> we do. first we'll talk to rick santorum. we'll give you the results and reaction from nevada. happens saturday night. we'll talk to rick santorum. then we'll have a debate between top supporters of the two top candidates, bob mcdonnell, governor of virginia, very much in mitt romney's car. some people say if romney wins, he might be a frontrunner for a running mate and j.c. west, former congressman backing newt gingrich. we'll see how bob mcdonnell does in his national audition. >> chris wallace, how police are responding. police a killer uses a cunning trick to escape a murder scene, details and the new clues released of the brutal bus stop stabbing at 11:00.  a strong winter storm dumping heavy snow in colorado, hundreds of flight is canceled and a major interstate shut -- flights canceled and major interstate shut down. reporter: a powerful winter storm slamming colorado. >> it's been a few years since we've had this. reporter: it has dumped more than 10 inches of snow in denver and about 15 inches in boulder. some towns in the foothills reporting snowfall totals in excess of 30 inches. the colorado avalanche information center has also issued a warning in parts of the state. >> seeing a bunch of trucks out and given what we got going here at least they can get a single lane plowed out. reporter: nearly 600 flights have been canceled at denver international airport. that's about 35% of the airport's daily average. >> i'm prepared to sleep here at night. reporter: the storm has also shut down parts of interstate 70. >> it's really hard for us to get out there, especially due to weather like this. it's very hard for ambulances to truck on those kind of roads. reporter: but not all schools were canceled today. >> the two years i've been here, never had a snow day. >> i was actually asked to baby- sit for some family that's kids school was canceled. i said no. i have class. reporter: the winter storm warning remains in effect here until tomorrow morning. that also extends to parts of wyoming, kansas and nebraska. >> say we're not going to get any of that. >> no, no, we're not. i've looked at everything twice and there's just fog to get excited about here. -- nothing to get excited about here. a little bit of snow wouldn't be a bad thing. >> how little? >> it could easily be nothing, nothing for anybody. it wouldn't surprise my if we wake up sunday morning and it's one of those types of deals we're right on the northern fringe. >> that would storm and i was just talking with brian. if you're a skier and have plans to go out to colorado, the front range has gotten snow. you cross over along the i-70 resorts, what is it, breckenridge, the summit, they didn't get much. this was a front range storm and out into the plains here and i don't think much will change. they may get a little more out there farther west overnight but not much. again lots of snow here. you can see right out i-70 there into denver, down towards colorado springs, pueblo, everybody getting lots of snow. we're talking a foot to 2 feet of snow. it's all blowing and drifting, same for nebraska and northwestern kansas. down in the warm air, though, all coming up from the gulf of mexico big time thunderstorms tonight, severe weather for texas, eastern sections of oklahoma moving over into arkansas. we're dry now, high pressure protecting us for tonight. it starts breaking down tomorrow and it starts allowing some of the rain to come in. this is futurecast tomorrow morning at 8 a.m. if you're up early tomorrow morning, would not surprise me if you see a little bit of sunshine, but it's only going to be a little bit. the clouds come over. by as early as 11:00, 12:00, maybe noon we begin to get a little rain moving in. you see a little changeover still open to colder air. that's washington county hagerstown right out to western maryland up into pennsylvania. it looks like everybody else is primarily rain. we stay rain by 5:00, but it's tomorrow night after midnight we'll be getting another changeover. it comes on across. this is sunday morning at 8 a.m. keep in mind, though, if this goes a little farther south, there's cold dry air to north. if it pushes a little farther to the south, we could easily end up with very little to almost nothing out of the deal and then we're ending up drier by sunday afternoon. right now this is the best case i can make for where there may be a little bit of a dusting, a little coating to maybe up to 1 inch on the grass. it looks like it's primarily out along i-81 and farther to the west. howard county, montgomery county, frederick county, maybe you get a little bit, loudoun county, too but it's not going to be a whole heck of a lot. in the city we stay mainly rain. we may get a brief changeover, that's it. more clouds tonight, but we're dry. here's the forecast tomorrow starting off in the 30s, mostly clouds. the rain may get in for part of the western suburbs by lunchtime. it's certainly spreading across everybody by 1:00, 2:00, 3:00. tomorrow not quite a rainout, but most of the afternoon will be. early showers mixture sunday morning, but we get into some sunshine by sunday afternoon. then we warm right back up, upper 40s, lower 50s on monday and tuesday. >> look at that. love it. thank you. lance armstrong no longer under the microscope after nearly two years. federal prosecutors dropped their investigation. the seven time tour de france winner and his teammates were accused of participating in a doping program while getting government sponsorship from the postal service. the u.s. attorney did not say why they decided to close the investigation against four years ago we said new york, the decided underdogs, ruined new england's perfect season. the patriots are still 2 1/2 point favorites because of tom brady and his success in the big game, but just because they're picked to win, doesn't mean they're listening to it. >> they're a good team. i think they challenge in a lot of ways. for us it's about execution. we got to execute better than last time we played them, but they really challenge you. they got guys that can rush, cover. they're very good against the run, got some big guys inside, but we put together a pretty good plan. hopefully actually has the chops to back up the way he talks. he had 16 1/2 sacks this year good for fourth in the league. the giants did beat the patriots in week nine this season, 24-20. so this should be a with friends, customers, even strangers. it's called riswalk60, 60 minutes of walking d.c. streets. she hopes to raise her own health and raise $25,000 for the women's heart center at george washington university hospital. that's where dr. jannet lewis is a cardiologist. >> when you walk, your heart is beating faster and becoming more efficient. one of the main reasons to get out there and move and exercise is it helps reduce your risk of heart disease. reporter: they plan to do this walk five days a week for an entire year and they say one of the big benefits is seeing something of the city that they might have otherwise overlooked. >> i'm going to get to see change in the seasons. i'm going to be outside every day all year, you know, and i can't -- i'm really looking forward to that. reporter: lacoste is discovering unexpected benefits. when you're walking around, are you kind of peeking in restaurant windows? >> absolutely. that's what i'm saying yesterday was great to be downtown. i want to see activity and the activity of who is buying takeout and who is going to restaurants and the food trucks, you know, they're a whole new phenomenon. reporter: even when you love
